We have 80+ pictures of this bike so you can see its overall current condition. It's obvious this bike spent its entire life in a garage and very seldom ridden. Really hard to find a well cared for 79 XS11 Special. Everything works as new. One sweet ride as it runs strong, shifts smoothly and sounds great!! The previous owner had the tank lined and the liner is in great shape. It has a new battery with Battery Tender Lead, fresh oil & oil filter change, new NGK plugs and Hypoid Drive oil change. The carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned. Period correct aftermarket accessories include a Mustang Brand Seat, Progressive shocks, rear luggage rack with adjustable sissy bar and a chrome header exhaust system. Tires in great shape. Everything electrical and mechanical works on this bike as when it was new. It runs as good as it looks!! Here is a 1981 Yamaha XS1100 Eleven Special project with 13,758 actual miles! one owner bike that has been inside storage for several years,i have a clear title,motor turns over and fires on spray,needs a new battery,the push button button for the start is broke,tank is clean inside,throttle doesn't twist,the petcocks and gas gauge hardware have been taken off the tank and might need to be replaced and might be some small nuts or bolts missing and or other,brakes work,clutch lever pulls in,tranni shifts threw all the gears and I was told shifted good threw all the gears before it was parked,the carbs will need cleaning before it will run,this is one of two his and her Yamahas I have for sale on ebay,selling as is although I don't see any major repairs that need to be repaired on the bike,auction may end early,paypal accepted as payment if your not local,buyer will have to pay for shipping and locate there own shipper if one is needed im not sure there prices I can meet them at my door they have been here several times,i can store the bike for seven days after the auction ends,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding the bike is located in Forest lake Minnesota 55025.

Up for your consideration is a very nice 1979 XS1100 Special. Clear title, turn key bike ready to ride. Runs and rides great, very fast, needs nothing. Everything works as it should. Original paint looks great, still shines and sparkles. Chrome is very nice with little to no rust anywhere. Original seat is nice with original cover and emblem. All lights and electrical work fine, turn signals, horn, etc. Wheels look great, nice and clean. Inside of fuel tank looks new. Front and rear brakes also work as they should. This bike has been very well cared for and it shows. I just finished a 140 mile ride yesterday 3/21/15 with no issues at all. No funny noises or leaks. Vintage pin striping is period correct and has been signed by the artist, this could be easily removed if wanted. Please view all pics and feel free to ask any questions or to see the bike in person.
