You are bidding on a Yamaha XS 650 motorcycle. This is one of the most unique, and aggressively-styled custom XS650's around. It was featured in Renegade Magazine #15. This is a major head-turner, and it seems everyone is curious about it! It sounds incredible too! The frame was stretched, sculpted, and hardtailed. The fork is from an '07 GSXR 750 sportbike. Harley Davidson ltd ed. gold 100th anniversary rims. Custom 3D clip on bars allow you to adjust for many riding postures. The most striking features are two custom gas tanks, with a CNC'd mount. This thing looks like a nitro rocket bike! The center "tank" is actually hollow and houses the electrical. An adjustable mountain bike shock is fitted under the seat to accomodate various weights and provides a much more comfy ride. The original 1978 donor bike had about 18,000 miles on it. A picture of the donor bike before transformation is included for your reference. The build was done by a professional, and the workmanship is impeccable. The custom metalwork is simply perfect, and totally unique. This monster took a year to complete. The original VIN is on the neck tube and I have the title in hand. Also included are the seat shock's pump, an original copy of Renegade Magazine #15 featuring the bike, the key, custom kickstand, some spare parts, and the title. With spring and summer coming right up, I'd like to get this into someone's hands that'll really enjoy it and use it. Two 1980 Yamaha XS 1100 MotorcyclesThese are two great motorcycles. There are not show room. They are bikes that have been ridden and have the wear and scratches to prove it. They both have large windscreens on them making them pleasant to ride and rideable in any weather.They both run great. I have been commuting to work on both of them for the past 10 years all year long.Black Motorcycle – Has newer tires, exhaust and has the large saddle bags and passenger backrest on it. 39,000 miles on it. Everything works. Has a decent size dent in the gas tank but I usually have a tank bag on it so never bugged me. Maroon Motorcycle – Has newer tires and exhaust. Has 64,000 miles on it. I can't believe I'm selling this bike. I spent 2 years and countless hours rebuilding this bike. You can check out my build threads on DTT here: (XS750D to XS885 build - DTT). We're buying a new house and have too many toys, so regrettably, after 5 years of ownership, this one has to go. The wife says that 2 motorcycles and 3 mountain bikes is too many. There is far too much done to this bike to list, so I recommend reading through both build threads, but this was a combination of many hours of work on my part, plus the work of many of the best motorcycle specialists in the business the forks were rebuilt by Racetech. The wiring was done by Matt at howtomotorcyclerepair.com, The carbs were rebuilt by Spyder Cycleworks, etc. You will not find a nicer XS triple anywhere. The bike is currently kickstart only, but I have a fully rebuilt starter motor ready if you would prefer to convert to an electric start. It starts easily with a few kicks. Here is a quick list of what was done: Detabbed and looped the frame Powdercoated the frame and calipers gunmetal gray Powdercoated everything else black (wheels gloss, everything else semi-gloss). This is a 1977 Yamaha XS360 with very low miles and basic cafe racer modifications. The bike starts, runs, rides and stops very well with no leaks or issues. The cafe racer mods can be reversed very easily if you chose because no cutting or changes to the bike have been done, four bolts to remove the fairing. The original headlight and equipment is 100% intact, and two bolts + a latch to install a new seat... The engine has recently been cleaned and tuned including a carb sync. It runs very well, shifts beautifully, stops on a dime and the electrical is in very good original condition.This bike does not currently have an electric start, it is kick only. The mechanism is great and with the recent tune it fires up even cold (Seattle) with 2-3 kicks. You can add an electric starter and switch for $100 in parts (found on eBay) and roughly 1.5 hours in labor. Or pull the factory airbox, add pods and strip it down to be a true cafe racer. The tire are fairly new with a lot of life left, shoes are good, as stated everything mechanical is awesome, gas tank is perfectly clear with no rust or corrosion, and feel free to ask any detailed questions you have... This bike is very fun to ride, is well balanced and you won't find another with these low miles for the price.I really like it but have to let it go and hope the buyer enjoys it as much as I do. Note that the last photo shows a stock bike for reference...
