1977 Yahama XS750-2D for sale. 750cc, 5 Speed, 4 Stroke, 12v, 15,000 Miles, Matching vin on frame and block. This is a one owner bike that has been stored in a garage since it was purchased new. This bike belongs to my father and he stopped riding it after he had hip surgery. Just recently restored to working order by a ASE master mechanic (the bike was sitting since 2001). All lights, horn, gauges, indicators, throttle, clutch, front brake, rear brake, shifter, throttle, electric start all work. Also comes with the factory seat, seat in pictures is not original. Comes with a Yamaha brand fairing/windscreen, fairing has some peeling paint and cracks. The original front turn lamps were removed for the fairing install and are missing, the original headlamp assembly is intact. This is a 1977 Yamaha XS360 with very low miles and basic cafe racer modifications. The bike starts, runs, rides and stops very well with no leaks or issues. The cafe racer mods can be reversed very easily if you chose because no cutting or changes to the bike have been done, four bolts to remove the fairing. The original headlight and equipment is 100% intact, and two bolts + a latch to install a new seat... The engine has recently been cleaned and tuned including a carb sync. It runs very well, shifts beautifully, stops on a dime and the electrical is in very good original condition.This bike does not currently have an electric start, it is kick only. The mechanism is great and with the recent tune it fires up even cold (Seattle) with 2-3 kicks. You can add an electric starter and switch for $100 in parts (found on eBay) and roughly 1.5 hours in labor. Or pull the factory airbox, add pods and strip it down to be a true cafe racer. The tire are fairly new with a lot of life left, shoes are good, as stated everything mechanical is awesome, gas tank is perfectly clear with no rust or corrosion, and feel free to ask any detailed questions you have... This bike is very fun to ride, is well balanced and you won't find another with these low miles for the price.I really like it but have to let it go and hope the buyer enjoys it as much as I do. Note that the last photo shows a stock bike for reference... I am selling my 1977 Yamaha XS650D. This motorcycle has only 3,740 original miles. All parts are original and it is unrestored. I am the second owner. The motorcycle is in very good condition. The motorcycle was last licensed, inspected, and driven on the highway in 1979. It has been garage kept for the entire time. It has minor rust on some of the nuts and bolts, and has some oxidation on the aluminum engine parts. The motorcycle has just been serviced, including engine oil and filter, new spark plugs, and new air filters. The motorcycle has two brand new tires on it. Recently took the motorcycle for a short drive and everything operates correctly, including lights, speedometer, and tachometer. The bike could use a good polishing. The things that stick out the most are a nick in the gas tank in front of the seat, two dents and a scratch on the right muffler, and on the left air cleaner cover the clear taping has come off the model numbers (see pictures).
