This is not a recent cafe build. I don't know for sure if this bike was raced or not, but I suspect it was in the 70's. There are alot of receipts dating back to 1986, mostly electrical parts, fork parts etc. One early invoice states the engine has an S2 cam and cut pistons. There's also a Dunstall 1974 850 electrical schematic.

Financing example for this bike: from only $185 per month Extended warranty for 12, 24 or 36 months available at a discounted rate. Amazing find. The bike is perfect from top to bottom - ONLY 3 MILES - BIKE CAME IN ORIGINAL DELIVERY CRATE. One one the most beautiful modern classics we have seen. The original Norton Commando first saw the light of day all the way back in 1967. Production spanned ten years, and the Commando was crowned “Machine of the Year” by the U.K.-based Motor Cycle News for five consecutive years, starting with its sophomore year in ’68 and running through ’72. Norton Motorcycles re - introduces us to the Commando with the 961 MK II family that brings classic, British style and modern engineering together. A traditional, double-cradle / double-downtube frame supports the engine and mounts a tiny oil cooler just south of the steering head where it has a minimal impact on aesthetics. Air-cooling precludes the need for a radiator, and so the front of the frame is wide open with an unimpeded view of the engine. The steering head angle gives us a 24.5-degree rake with 3.9 inches of trail, and those figures along with the compact, 55.9-inch wheelbase make these bikes very agile indeed. - Stock #: R1690PERFECT - ONLY 3 MILES - BIKE CAME IN ORIGINAL DELIVERY CRATE

Norton Commando 850. Excellent condition rider quality bike. Ridden occasionally - 15k miles. Not a showpiece, but could be parked at any bike meet and it will draw people in. This is a rider that could be left as-is, or easily done a slight rolling restoration. The 850 Commandos are wonderful and long-respected bikes for a real reason. This one has been converted to single carb for easier running/tuning, and appears to be a late 74 with right side shift. Matching numbers engine and frame. Better condition than many I've seen restored. More photos - :// /user/greggearhead/library/BP/1975%20Norton%20Commando

Up for sale 1974 Norton with a little over 2,700 original miles. The bike was purchased from the original owner after it won first place for best restored motorcycle at the 2007 Detroit Autorama in it's first showing. The first owner bought the bike new in 1978 (all documented), took it home with 8.5 factory test miles on it and parked it in his collection. In 2006, he decided to ride it for the first time. He converted it from a high rider to a roadster using aluminum tank and side covers fabricated by the master Evan Wilcox and fitting a Corbin seat. The front brake was updated and Boyer ignition replaced the points. Any perished parts were replaced with OEM Norton parts if possible. MK III isolastics were installed and stainless fasteners were used in critical areas. Within few months he became ill and passed away never having ridden it. The bike was registered for the first time for road use in California in 2007. A Norton factory trained mechanic went thru the bike for a second time and made some changes that he recommended. He changed out the counter sprocket for a 19 verse the original 20, put in a Barnett clutch, heim head steady, Fiamm horns, roadster style headlight, new exhaust pipes and mufflers, and a covenant fork upgrade. All the original parts: bronze clutch plates, high rider headlight, turn signals, choke and cables, head steady, air box, horn, cross over pipes, mufflers, and roadster seat have never been used and will come with the bike as well as the owners manual, tool kit, spark plugs, square mirrors, extra Boyer ready to go and electric air pump. All parts to bring back to factory set up are here. It still has the break in instruction sticker on the speedo. I have included pictures of how it looked when purchased and photos of how it is set up currently. The bike has always been stored inside and has never even had water used to clean it. It has never been in the rain either. I wipe it down and polish it. Show it, ride it, or both. I chose to ride it on a limited basis and the rest of the time I just like to sit and stare at it. All documentation, original bill of sale from 1978 dealer purchase, verification of history, all work orders and parts lists from both top notch mechanics will come with the bike. Service records totaling well over $30k. Interested party is welcome to review documents prior to purchase. Bike is all original and all matching numbers. As a second owner, I registered this bike in Ohio, the bike received new clutch line, battery, and new matching tires as originally specified in 1974. It also has a valid 1974 original historical plate. The bike went to few vintage shows and received tons of admiration. The notes on this bike sound absolutely wonderful. This Norton is currently located in LA. I am leaving the country soon, and with a heavy heart I have to give up this Norton but only to the right person. This Norton is pretty special.

2016 Harley-Davidson XL1200X - Sportster Forty-Eight, 2016 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® Forty-Eight® The redesigned 2016 Forty-Eight® motorcycle comes at you with more low-slung Dark Custom attitude than ever, from its fat front end to its new cast aluminum wheels. We didn t rebuild it. We reloaded it. The first time the world saw this gas tank was 1948. But the world has never seen that iconic tank sitting atop anything quite like this. The Forty-Eight® motorcycle has been reborn. Everything that was great about it has been cranked up to a more intense level. Better seat. Better suspension. New lightweight mag wheels. Awesome brakes. And now the tank is sporting 70 s inspired graphics. Welcome to the next page of history written in Dark Custom iron. Features May Include: Authentic Styling When the first Sportster motorcycle roared onto the scene in 1957 the world had never seen anything like it. Rawboned, powerful and looking for action. The styling cues that lit up the street in those early years would soon become a part of everything from race bikes to outlaw choppers as they spread throughout the motorcycling world. Take a look at the offering for 2016 and one thing becomes instantly clear. The best way to get the style that made the Sportster motorcycle famous is to get a Sportster motorcycle of your own. The narrow frame is more agile than ever. The rumbling V-Twin and muscular front end feel more powerful than ever. The flawless steel and jewel-like fuel tank reveal their authentic American motorcycle roots in every inch of detail. Iconic Engine The Evolution engine riding in the nimble Sportster frame is a prime example of the power, durability and proven reliability The Motor Company was built on. Born from the legendary Shovelhead and Ironhead engines, it s been the power at the center of a Sportster motorcycle since 1984. Its overhead valve design and four-cam gear train have their roots in the company s race program, and you know it when you feel the surge of brute torque that accompanies every twist of the throttle. The air-cooled V-Twin design with a compact one-piece crankcase/transmission fits the narrow Sportster profile like a fist in a fingerless glove. We began with a strong, trouble-free design. Then gave it constant refinement to bring us to the modern powerplant of today. A testament to the unwavering hunger for advancement in motor technology that has always driven Harley-Davidson. Technology What the eye sees and the rider feels on a Sportster motorcycle goes deep beneath the surface. Which is where you ll find some our latest technology hard at work. The immaculate styling is due in part to an integrated electrical system that reduces wiring harnesses, switches, relays and fuses. The new seats throughout the Sportster line are built out of 21st century materials to fee
