The inventiveness of the Guzzi brothers created an elastic frame with a sheet steel box enclosing four springs together with a swing-arm in tubes and sheet metal which they then used on the G.T. Original in everything the Guzzi Brothers chose a highly particular test - a 4 000 mile journey from Mandello del Lario to Lapland in northern Norway inside the Arctic Circle. A monumental enterprise considering the disastrous condition of European roads at that time. the alternatives used until then were not able to maintain the frame under correct torsional rigidity and what was gained in comfort was lost in lack of handling. American Motorcycle Trading Company was formed in 1996. We came from humble beginnings, starting out in a 6,000 sq. ft. facility across from the Cowboys Stadium. We built our business on quality relationships with quality people. After serving the DFW community for approximately seven years, we outgrew our facility. In 2003 we bought a new building in the southeast corner of Six Flags Mall, just minutes from Texas Ranger’s Ballpark. Our state of the art, 27,000 sq. ft. facility provided room for our growing business. After nine years at Six Flags Mall, we have decided to open an additional location in Mansfield, Texas. Look for the grand opening the winter of 2012! What makes American Motorcycle different from other motorcycle dealers? We distinguish ourselves from other dealers in variety of ways. The single most important reason is the quality of our motorcycles. Over the past 17 years, we have bought and sold approximately 20,000 motorcycles. Such significant experience teaches you what to look for in a quality motorcycle. We primarily obtain our motorcycles from dealers who take the motorcycles as trade ins. Our dealer principal spent almost 30 years in the automotive industry and has forged strong relationships with dealers nationwide. We also actively purchase motorcycles from individuals just like you!Our bikes go through a thorough inspection process. The initial inspection is referred to as a pre-buy inspection or PBI. Before we decide to purchase a motorcycle, our technicians evaluate the bike. This enables our buyer to select only the best units available. On top of that we go through a pre-delivery inspection or PDI, which is a 32 point mechanical and electrical check to insure a safe, trouble free buying experience. We sell most of our bikes to people we never meet! In order to maintain our reputation and build the requisite trust that our customers so often place in us, we take great pride and care in our make ready process. You can rest assured that when you buy from us, you buy a quality motorcycle. MEET OUR SALES TEAM SHOWROOM VIRTUAL TOUR VIEW TESTIMONIALS CONTACT INFORMATION 888.400.1151 2925 E. Breva V 1100. The universal Moto Guzzi. When Carlo Guzzi established Moto Guzzi back in 1921, he was brimming with simple but effective ideas. The motorcycle was waiting for someone to drag it out of the pioneering age and transform it into a functional and universal means of transport. Guzzi therefore set about designing practical machines to match the needs of the masses. Though often ingenious and innovative, his technology aimed primarily at comfort, easy riding, reliability and duration. After more than eighty years, Carlo Guzzi’s design principles are still valid, and represent the true inspiration behind the Breva V 1100. But though our guidelines are the same, motorcycling has changed dramatically over the decades. Motorcyclists have evolved; today they are demanding and attentive, and have acquired a thorough understanding of technology. It was with today’s riders in mind that Moto Guzzi designed the new Breva V 1100, a revolutionary machine made to the highest standards. The Breva V 1100 has all the credentials for success on today’s fiercely competitive market, and is Italy’s best ever answer to growing demand in the “naked” segment, now Europe’s most important area of the motorcycle market. The Breva excels as an unexaggerated tourer and a true all-rounder: It provides plenty of reasons for passion, but also has a passion for reason. Comfortable, easy to ride, lavishly equipped, and technically advanced, the Breva V 1100 is perfect for intensive daily use. It is made with everybody in mind, Guzzi fans who would never ride anything else, ex-Guzzi riders returning to the fold, and everybody seeking to discover the pleasures of Moto Guzzi’s unique riding style.

The bike is a solid runner and is a hoot to ride, and is perfect for entry in the MOTO GIRO . The engine is so cool to watch with the external valve train and bacon slicer flywheel, it looks alive! Onlookers at shows are fascinated with this bike and she always draws a big crowd. The Airone currently has a Keihin carburetor on it, with the original intake manifold. I have the original Dell’orto and the velocity stack, but I was never able to get the bike to start easily and idle consistently with it. It's been about 2yrs since was ran the bike last. She's been stored with no gasoline in a dry, temperature controlled environment, and the inside of the tank is rust-free, as you can see in the pictures. There are a couple of check lines in the paint on the rear fender's tip and also at the edge of the left side tank knee pad. Tires are in terrific shape, are old, and installed when the bike was restored.
