I have a 750 Atlas motor that needs the top end reinstalled fresh bore .20 over with new pistons, rings and copper head gasket ready to go. Top end gasket kit included, Norton Transmission Primary with clutch basket. A pair of 930 Amals A real Norton Roadholder Front end with Front wheel. Norton Rear Wheel Laced to a 16 inch Harley rim An ugly Norton Frame with a bolt on/ tached on hard-tail ( With title) All the engine and Transmission Mounting brackets This was a basket case I bought with some other project I do not know any history. You have a mix of older N15 parts (front end, N15 frame modified and '67 title) and later Commando engine parts. For example the clutch cylinder, barrel, carbs and motor mount are Commando which was first introduced to the US in 1969. The frame and front end are from an N15 There is a lot of value here Engine is worth $1200+ roadholder an easy $500 Tranny $500+ Frame and title no numbers on frame that I can see $500 + Carbs $100 Wheels $150 each Primary and clutch basket $150.00

This obviously needs complete rebuilding. Or, it may be best suited for parts, you be the judge. First the good. No apparent cracks or missing fins on the outside of the head, cylinders or cases. Inside has some surface rust on the cam but the bottom end has oil on everything. Engine spins freely. Trans shifts smoothly. Next the not so good. Top frame rails removed, as happened back in the day, for a different tank. Nevertheless the frame appears straight to my eye. Wheels are rusted to the point of being good for hubs only. Not sure if the front end is a Roadholder. Long crack in the left slider and one fork leg buggered at the top. Only appears to be single leading shoe. Rear wheel fits into the frame. Cylinders probably need sleeves. The other frame in the back of one picture is not included and will be listed separately. Basically I'm asking for what a relatively complete engine with magneto, a transmission, and assorted parts are worth. I have no title. Vin is 20 117919. Matching frame and engine#'s. I can load it onto a 4x5 pallet and strap it down but I assume no responsibility for its safe delivery. There are undoubtedly assorted pieces missing. I would rather not ship internationally because of past hassles. No offense to int'l buyers intended. If you want to buy it you would have to trust my 100% score and send me the complete funds including shipping (not paypal) which, when cleared , I will release the bike.

The original Norton Commando first saw the light of day all the way back in 1967. Production spanned ten years, and the Commando was crowned “Machine of the Year” by the U.K.-based Motor Cycle News for five consecutive years, starting with its sophomore year in ’68 and running through ’72. Norton Motorcycles re - introduces us to the Commando with the 961 MK II family that brings classic, British style and modern engineering together. A traditional, double-cradle / double-downtube frame supports the engine and mounts a tiny oil cooler just south of the steering head where it has a minimal impact on aesthetics. Air-cooling precludes the need for a radiator, and so the front of the frame is wide open with an unimpeded view of the engine. The Norton 961 Series II line of Commando and Dominator motorcycles are the first in the series of new production Norton Motorcycles. Powered by a fairly conventional (for Norton) looking 961cc parallel twin cylinder motor, cooled by the flow of air and oil and fueled by modern EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) and perhaps most importantly spinning a superbly designed counter balancer shaft, this is the motor taking Norton into the modern world, and smoothly at that. All those stories of vintage Nortons with motor vibration capable of breaking fillings loose from your teeth, those are stories for old timers, anyone trying out the newest 961 series of bikes will be rather impressed by the smoothness, not only the power and torque. 1971 Norton Commando 750 Hi-Rider6.5K original milesI am the third owner after my fathers passing. He purchased it from a family friend who I am still in contact with.My understanding is that this thing is original with the exception on tires, battery, and oil breather lines.Does start and run but has poor compression.Has tools, owner manual and service manual.I would like to find a good home for this motorcycle. Someone that isn't going to change everything out on it.

Norton Commando 850. Excellent condition rider quality bike. Ridden occasionally - 15k miles. Not a showpiece, but could be parked at any bike meet and it will draw people in. This is a rider that could be left as-is, or easily done a slight rolling restoration. The 850 Commandos are wonderful and long-respected bikes for a real reason. This one has been converted to single carb for easier running/tuning, and appears to be a late 74 with right side shift. Matching numbers engine and frame. The Commando was produced by the Norton Motorcycle company from 1967 until 1977 and won several awards, including Motor Cycle News "Machine of the Year" award for five successive years from 1968-1972. This classic cafe racer has all original parts except the carbeurator, handlebars and wiring harness (no Lucas - that's a good thing!). It starts on the first kick on most days and has been maintained regularly. I'm happy to provide detail pictures or any further information about the bike. My father and I worked on about every part of this excellent machine, and it is a joy to ride!
