2016 KTM 300 XC, 2016 KTM 300 XC Unrivalled Power-To-Weight Ratio With enough power to excel on all sorts of tracks and terrain, combined with an extremely lightweight chassis, the 300 XC has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in it's class. The unrivalled power-to-weight ratio of the lightweight 2-stroke engine makes it a true contender against the more complex 4-strokes. For MY 2016 the 300 XC features detail improvements and new colors and graphics, but basically retains the same chassis and engine specification as MY 2015. Features May Include: ENGINE The powerful KTM 300 SX engine unites an unbeatable power-to-weight ratio with outstanding performance and extremely easy handling. CYLINDER The cylinder of the 300 XC is fitted with a sophisticated TVC (Twin Valve Control) power valve, providing adjustable power characteristics. The power character can be changed within a few seconds thanks to two supplied springs for different tracks and rider preference. CLUTCH The KTM DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch is fitted with a diaphragm spring, which allows implementation of an internal rubber damping system. Together with a lightweight steel basket and the Brembo hydraulic system the DDS clutch offers maximum reliability, excellent modulation and light lever pull. LINKAGE/SHOCKABSORBER The linkage system of the 300 XC features a progressive curve with a high initial rate ensuring good stability. The high-end WP 5018 shock absorber guarantees outstanding response and damping characteristics. Compression and rebound damping can be adjusted to the track conditions and the rider's preferences. HANDLEBAR The 300 XC is equipped with a tapered handlebar made of high-strength aluminum by NEKEN, which is fixed in a new rubber damped handlebar clamp allowing the handlebar to be mounted in two different positions. A new, larger handlebar pad protects the rider in case of a crash. AIRBOX At the same time, the design of the airbox guarantees optimum protection of the air filter from dirt plus maximum airflow for the highest performance. Quick replacement of the Twin Air filter, without tools and in a matter of seconds, has long been an unrivalled KTM standard. BRAKES High-tech Brembo brakes have always been standard equipment on KTM off-road bikes, and now are combined with newly designed and weight-reduced Wave discs made by GALFER featuring improved heat resistance. Weight reduction is 63g on the front disc, and 32 g for the rear. This is the ultimate solution in braking technology. WHEELS The 300 XC is fitted with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs, high-end Giant rims and black spokes with lightweight aluminum nipples providing maximum stability at minimum weight. The latest Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires guarantee perfect traction and outstanding performance.

2012 KTM 300 XC Professionally maintained: CSR custom suspension with fresh shock, Billet shock linkage guard, skid plate, carbon pipe guard, Rekluse clutch, new chain & sprocket, FMF spark arrestor, extra wheels, silencer, air filters, etc. Excellent trail / moto bike. $4900 firm (214) 491-0970 I’ve ridden this bike in off-road hare scrambles for the last few years and even narrowly missed the Texas State Enduro Championship on it last year. As a racer, I maintain my bikes carefully and use top notch parts. It’s had three pistons in it and I use KTM pistons which cost about $250 each. The current engine condition is good and shouldn’t need another top end for some time. It’s tuned for woods riding which makes it very easy to ride but it still has plenty of power. I have a straight silencer for closed courses and a spark arrestor for national forests, both FMF. Also have several air filters as I change it after every ride. I added a different ignition cover and removed the electric starter & battery when I first got the bike which lightened the bike by about 8 lbs. I still have the stock stuff if you want to go back to that. This bike was originally built for the owner of CSR suspension and the forks have over 18 hours of custom valving effort, the shock about 8 hrs work. I have had the forks and shock serviced by them every year which costs about $600 each time. New seals, oil, bushings, etc. All done by Kelvin, who is CSR’s top technician in Indiana. I just had the shock serviced and have the receipt if you’re interested. The shock also has a low speed/hi speed dampening circuit that costs about $500 and lets you fine tune the suspension for whatever conditions you’re in. KTM went to the 4CS forks in 2013 to 2016 and they had lots of problems with them. These are closed chamber forks that preceded that change. I have an extra pair of wheels that I typically use for rocky riding and then switch to the set that’s on it for dirt. Both wheel sets have sprockets & rotors so you can just swap them in about 5 minutes. The bike has lots of engine protection and an adjustable shock linkage guard that costs about $400. Just replaced the RH side radiator and it has synthetic rubber hoses and TM chain guides. Also has a new rear sprocket and O-ring chain. If you go to NM or CO riding all you need to do is change the main jet and it runs fine up to about 10K ft. I’ve written down all of the suspension and jetting settings for various conditions which may help you too.

Together these changes contribute to better throttle response and smoother power delivery. Features may include: The Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) is a selectable launch system derived from the factory race bike to help riders takeoff from the starting gate for an early lead. There are three modes riders can choose for the best option per their skill level and starting conditions A Mode: For hard surfaces or slippery conditions at the starting gate. In this mode, S-HAC alters ignition timing at the moment of launch and the ride over the gate to reduce wheel slip to deliver a smooth take off. It also advances ignition timing during this sequence for stronger acceleration. After 1.2 seconds or when you reach third gear, the system shuts off and returns to normal ignition timing B Mode: When conditions at the starting gate have better traction, and a more aggressive launch is desired. S-HAC will advance the ignition timing to allow increased throttle response and stronger acceleration off the line. The ignition timing alternation is in a similar sequence as Mode A, but with increased overall timing. One of three conditions will return the ignition to normal operation (whichever happens first): 1. After 4.5 seconds has passed since throttle opening 2. When you shift to 4th gear 3. When the throttle is closed Base Mode: Standard power launch, no action required on the S-HAC switch The SFF-Air suspension evolved from the SFF system but without a conventional coil spring resulting in reduced weight, increased inner tube diameter and damper rod/piston size. SFF-Air utilizes three tunable chambers so riders can easily

Bigger Riders Need Bigger Bikes. Honda’s all-new CRF®125FB (Big Wheel) is going to be a great choice for a wide range of riders. Basically, it’s the same great machine as our new CRF125F, but with bigger wheels and a two-inch taller seat height. You’ll find it’s perfect for teens and smaller adults who just want to get out on the trails and have fun. Loaded with features, we’re especially proud of its reliability (nothing can match a Honda for that), so you get to concentrate on having a good time rather than fussing with a temperamental machine. Rugged, simple and easy to maintain, it offers styling cues that match our CRF®450R and CRF®250R motocross bikes. Its electric starter makes it easy to get underway, while a four-speed transmission gives you all the control of a full-sized bike. Off-road riding should be fun. And for 2014, the new CRF125FB (Big Wheel) offers as much fun as bikes twice its size. Be a Responsible Rider Parents need to consider their youngster’s age, size, ability and maturity before allowing them to ride. See owner’s manual for additional safety and supervisory information. Designed exclusively for off-road, operator-only use. Always wear a helmet, eye protection and protective clothing whenever you ride. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
