Rare BMW motorcycle in excellent condition. Only 16,000 miles. Stored indoors and maintained by BMW technician. Runs well. Hard case luggage sidebags also included. Clear title. No rust. Original black exhaust pipes. A beautiful bike and fun to ride. Great choice for a collection.

Offered for sale is a 1982 BMW R65LS with an interesting sotory. This machine was purchased new in NJ in 1982, and the first owner rode it until 1990, when it was parked. It then sat for the next 25 years. It was purchased by a BMW collector in MD a few years later, and he had it in his collection until a few years ago when I found it. I'm now looking at purchasing an R100CS, and as always I am bike rich and cash poor, so I need to adjust my own small collection to make room, The R65LS has always had a cult following, and for good reason - they are a blast to ride! You can flick them around like you just can't do with a larger BMW. Owners of the early R80G/S models will know just what I'm talking about. In the last 5 years the prices on these bikes have more than doubled, but here is you chance to get a nice bike at a decent price. This is a matching engine & frame serial number bike, with clear matching number title. The machine was drained of all fluids and the battery ages ago, and has been sitting, and has not been run in that time. Over the years from sitting the rings are stuck, so the new owner will have to replace them along with the other chores needed to get this bike back on the road. Please ask all questions before bidding. Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end, and pickup/shipment is expected within 30 days of auction end. Overseas sales are fine, but I cannot help with shipping estimates. Please have your funds lined up before you bid. bmwbike store HERE'S A SUPER CLEAN 1982 R65LS BMW MOTORCYCLE. VERY DESIREABLE MODEL. I BOUGHT FOR MY WIFE. IT'S TOO TALL FOR HER. ALL NUMBERS MATCH AND I HAVE A CLEAR TITLE SIGNED FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THERE ARE 46,000 MILES ON THE BIKE. THERE WAS A GLICH WHEN THE ODOMETER TURNED FROM 30 TO 40,000 MILES. THE 4 DID NOT TURN OVER, BUT THE GAGE WORKS. THE MILEAGE APEARS TO BE CORRECT FOR THE CONDITION OF THE BIKE. IT HAS BEEN WELL KEPT AND MAINTAINED ALL IT'S LIFE. STARTS, RUNS, DRIVES AND STOPS AS IT SHOULD. ONE MUFFLER HAS 2 TINY DINGS. ALL THE CHROME SHINS AND THERE IS NO RUST. NICE PAINT AND STRIPS WITH NORMAL NICKS AND MARKS FOR A BIKE THIS AGE.
