2005 BMW R-Series 2005 R1200RT BMW Motorcycle Set Up for Distance Riding Low Miles!

I purchased this 2005 R1200RT with front end damage from a collision with a deer. Fortunately the rider was not hurt and kept the bike up through the incident. I replaced the oil cooler, Front Swing Arm, Front fairing cowl mount,Right Side Upper Cowl Panel, Headlight assembly, and Charcoal Vent Canister. The mount for the top case IS NOT covered up by the auxiliary tank. The tank only covers the rear seat. I ran this auxiliary tank with a full size 49 liter BMW top case. The title is NOT a salvage title and is clear of all liens. I also performed all service including fluid changes for the final drive, gear box, brake fluid flush, oil, spark plugs, adjusted valves, checked air filter, and synced throttle bodies. All gold trim was removed including saddle bags and was professionally painted. This bike also includes a Ztechnik oversized windscreen, heated custom seat, heated grips, cruise control, and Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA). I am also including a Mike Langford manufactured auxiliary tank ideal for distance riding and IBA events. My BMW is in excellent condition!. It has now 25,270 original miles. It has a Windjammer fairing, saddlebags, and original seat. Front and rear tires have less than 800 miles on them. I am the third owner, before me it belonged to a school teacher from Wyoming, who gave it to his step son who was into import cars and not motorcyles and sold it to me. The bike comes with original headlight, and original set of tools. I usually turn on the bike with a combination of kick bar and ignition, and sometimes I use one or the other. This bike is in great shape and you will not find one this nice any where. When I bought the bike in 2005 it had about 24,800. I have put on the bike about 500 miles since I bought it. The bike is an awesome bike from the moment you turn it on. It has a sound that you can tell is a high quality bike. When I ride the bike to town, I usually get stopped and asked questions about it. It calls everyone's attention because of the great condition that it is which is excellent!!! It has always been garage kept. No mechanical problems at all.

Up for sale is my beloved R1200RT. This bike has served me very well over the last few years. We have been on many trips together, an Iron Butt ride to California, up to Sturgis, out to New Mexico and hundreds of places in between. It has never let me down. The bike has just under 28000 miles on it. I bought it with 6600 and am the second owner. I just had the 24000 mile service down and had new Michelins put on it with in the last 2000 miles. All service is up to date and it is ready to go anywhere you want it to. The only reason I am selling is I am buying a BMW K1600 and I don't need two touring bikes. I am going to pull a trailer and the 1600 will do a little better job of it. The RT is a great handling bike and has always been in the top rankings of best sport touring bikes. Bike has never been dropped or down in any way. It is in excellent shape other than a scrape on the left side pannier where I got a little too close to the garage door. Bike has normal wear and tear of a bike of this age and mileage. It has been ridden like it was designed to be ridden. Options that I will include will be the color matched trunk, a set of PIAA driving lights and a couple of 12 volt plug ins to keep things charged up. Bike is 100% road worthy.
