Thank you!!!!*******Up for sale is this stunning 1988 BMW R100RS monoshock in the rare, and highly sought after, pearl white with blue stripes. This bike is a true survivor with 100% original paint, matching numbers, clean title, etc. Comes with the original tool kit, nitrogen cartridges, owners manual, etc. Just under 43k miles, the dunlop tires have 90% tread remaining, the bike starts easy and runs excellent. Bone stock down to the seat, with the only exception being a digital volt meter was installed in the fairing (original is not present). The headlight, turn signals, dash lights, gauges, warning lights, tal light, and brake light all work as they should. The horn does not work. The paint is amazingly glossy and well cared for. No dents in the tank or damage to the bike at all. One small spot on the front edge of the seat is torn (see pic) and there are some scuffs on the tank where the seat meets it. (see pictures) Road ready and comes with the rare RS hard luggage that is a bit more appealing than the standard luggage. 1994 BMW R1100RS. 72.4K miles. Red. Stock BMW side bags. No ABS. Brand new tires (20 miles as I write.) Recent maintenance (at about 70K miles.) 1085 cc's; 90 hp. 5 spd transmission. Improvements/modifications: PIAA driving lights, bar backs, heated grips, headlight modulator, Throttlemeister, Odyssey battery, Russell Day-Long saddle, BMW luggage rack, Cee Bailey tall wind-screen (+ stock), hand protectors, Fiamm dual horns, Eclipse tank bag, knee pads. Comes with: seat rain cover, battery tender, Haynes repair manual, motorcycle cover, luggage straps, original tool kit with a few additions, oil filter wrench. Maintenance Items beyond regular scheduled maintenance: previous owner replaced clutch & rear shock & brake pads. I've replaced Hall effect sensor, front brake pads, front brake master cylinder, front brake light switch, and ignition switch. Also put in a used starter when original one stopped working. Condition: Generally excellent condition, esp. for its age. Paint has a couple of scrapes on fairing edges, couple of rock chips on fender. Some of the aluminum has minor discoloration. Part of exhaust pipes are not bright. Catalytic converter has been removed. Minor scuffs on side cases. I've owned this bike for 10 years; bought it locally from an individual, with 52k miles on it. It's been great, but I'm just not riding it any more. It needs a better life than sitting in my barn. One of the best sport-touring bikes around; can go quickly thru the twisties (great handling and great clearance leaned over), and then take you to the West Coast on the interstates (smooth & comfortable). It's almost 100 pounds lighter than the R1100RT, making it quicker & easier to handle. More oriented to the "Sport" in "Sport Touring" than the RT or the GS. The guy I bought it from told me about what he had done to it, but had no written records. I've done all the maintenance to it myself (as I have to my previous 40+years of motorcycles) and have written records and parts/supplies receipts. Also some relevant articles from old BMWMOA magazines about maintenance, in addition to the Haynes repair manual mentioned above.US Sales Only! Low mounted clip on handlebars installed, Custom exhaust fabricated from a header that reduced the weight by 20 lbs. Custom made decals and paint design. Motor runs perfect and don,t smoke or use any oil, complete tune-up and checked from bottom to top. This bike needs nothing. The pegs and shifter has been re-located to the back for extra leg clearance giving the drag bike feel.. I still have the stock pegs and shifter and brackets that come on the bike originally in case you wanted to move it back forward. Air induction pipe recently installed on left side. Ultra Limited Production - 2006 BMW R1150GS Adventure Special Edition If you're not familiar with this bike, let me explain the story. This particular motorcycle was BMW's lowest production bike ever made. There were 354 produced for the Australian Police Department, but at the same time BMW launched the new 2006 R1200GS. Once the Australian Police Dept. heard about this, they cancelled their order for the R1150GSA models and chose the R1200GS instead. Rumor has it, that 150 of these bikes came to the United States and the remaining amount was distributed throughout the rest of the world. Of these 150 bikes in the US, it's unknown the exact number of them that are still around. There are a couple websites out there (EricSYn) if you google them, you'll find them that explain the story of these bikes. I received my information from a BMW employee that I met at the 2013 BMW MOA Rally in Oregon. With that being said, I was informed by the BMW employee, that these bikes were also built better and stronger to take the abuse of the police force during their daily patrols. I hate to see it go, but hope it goes to someone that will understand the value and ride it as it's intended purpose.
