The starter and battery have been removed to reduce weight. I have all the starter parts except the starter motor. Starts in one kick. It's so light and nimble it feels like a trials bike or bicycle. Great for single track or just doing whatever. I use to blow off all my 4 stroke buddies with their fat 250 lb. and 275 lb. pig bikes. You will not believe it until you ride it. Currently set up for 160 lb rider. On the starter I have the side case, plastic cover, the gear and some nuts and bolts. I do not have the starter motor. I also have the original rear section with battery box that was replaced with carbon fiber and the battery can be mounted in the carbon fiber rear section. It was last registered in California in 2012. There will be fees due to bring it current or register it in another state.
