Very clean and original Commando in excellent condition. The bike has been well maintained and has received many nice updates over the years. Akront alloy rims with stainless spokes built by Buchannan Wheel & Spoke, hydraulic steering damper, electronic ignition, and an anti wet sump valve. The bike starts and runs better than new. Clock says 13035 miles which looks right on an original Norton clock but I cannot verify. I have owned the bike for about 18 months, I bought it from an older gentleman who had not been using it so much so I had it fully serviced (invoices available) and replaced both tires and tubes as well as the kickstart gear linkage which was not quite right. Also had the carbs rebalanced and new tickler sets just to be safe. It runs well, changes cleanly and goes as a Commando should. I'm selling three of my classic bikes - look for a beautiful 1970 Bonneville and 1976 BMW R09/6 elsewhere on eBay - call me for a 3-in-1 deal! David

This 1973 Norton Commando Interstate 850 has been fully restored to show quality while sporting some upgrades for improved reliability and performance. It was bought from a motorcycle shop in Seattle and brought to Pittsburgh by its current owner. The owner has spent thousands restoring and upgrading this motorcycle so you don’t have to! This is a rider that could be left as-is, or easily done a slight rolling restoration. The 850 Commandos are wonderful and long-respected bikes for a real reason. This one has been converted to single carb for easier running/tuning and appears to be a late 74/early 75 with right side shift. Matching numbers engine and frame. For your consideration is a beautiful example of a '72 Norton Commando Combat edition. This bike is sorted. 1 kick start as you can see in the attached video. Upon review the bike seems to have an unlimited parts list, though I'm sure there is a bottom somewhere... A joy to ride and even better to listen to with the original Dunstall pipes. This bike was made to a cafe style, though I think that term is overused nowadays.. Condition is very hard to describe. I would say it is likely the best rider condition one could find, but not Concours. The pictures and video probably should do more of the talking... One owner 1971 Commando Roadster with clear title, keys, manual, tools etc.. I have owned this bike for over a year and I purchased it from the original owner in its current condition. It was stored in a garage with the carburetors off and and I have also kept it in dry storage. The bike is in non running condition and the engine turns free and has compression. The original owner said the bike ran fine when he stored it and I have no doubt that it did after talking with him. I had intentions of getting this bike running but things have changed. It should only need general maintenance, tires, battery, carbs cleaned/ rebuilt etc... As you can see in the photos the bike in nice original condition, the exhaust pipes, rims and other chrome have some rust but everything else looks real good and is solid. The front fender and fork ears look great because they were taken off years ago and had a full fairing most of its life. It also comes with the extra parts and tools that you see, there are a couple of nos parts in the packages and few engine tools. This would be a great bike to just get running and ride just how it is, or just a small refurbish with some new pipes and a little chrome.
