CAFÉ RACER 803 cc The Ducati Scrambler Café Racer, Scrambler's interpretation of the legendary bikes that created a revolution in the motorcycle world, is an expression of free spirit and an emblem of style. Its "Black Coffee" colour brings back the 60s to today's Land of Joy. The typical Scrambler teardrop tank with interchangeable panels is combined with a new seat, specially designed and equipped with a seat cover for the passenger. The handlebars with mirrors attached to the ends are typical of 60s racing; the same goes for the Termignoni exhaust with double silencer, the headlight fairing, the side number holders and the new Pirelli Diablo¿ Rosso II with 17'' aluminium wheels. The styling is a clear reference to the style of the Rockers that in those days sped through the streets of the English capital. The Ducati Scrambler Café Racer reinterprets what was one of the most influential movements in the history of motorcycling, recreating a legend with a contemporary character reflecting the essence of the Scrambler. 2006 Ducati Sport 1000 | Yellow | 11385mi | $11995I'm the third owner, both previous owners were Ducati enthusiasts, as am I. The bike has been meticulously cared for and maintained since new. I have all paperwork/service paperwork since new. Bike still looks like new and is in near perfect condition. Bike has Termignoni Slip-On Exhaust & Ducati Performance ECU which sound absolutely incredible. The Termignoni Exhaust/DP ECU is must have OEM Ducati Performance upgrade. I've owned several Ducatis & the soundtrack to this Sport 1000 Air Cooled Desmodromic L-Twin with Termignoni Exhaust is one of my all time favorites. This Sport 1000 garners lots of attention where ever it goes. I'm not sure if it's the retro cafe racer looks, stunning yellow paint, trellis frame, dry clutch or the L-twin soundtrack but it's always a crowd favorite. Paint is in great condition, Tank has no issues, Tires are like new. Maintenance is up to date. Mechanically sound, turn key & ready to ride. Bike has never been dropped or down. Title is clear. Buyer responsible for pick up and or shipping. Motorcycle is used and sold as is, no warranty expressed or implied.2006 Sport 1000's are the most rare of the Sport 1000 line. The Sport 1000's were produced from 2006-2009. The 2006 Sport 1000 was the only year produced with an Asymmetric Swing Arm, Monoposto(single seat), Single Side Rear Shock, Dry-Clutch, Shot-Gun Single Side Exhaust, making it more rare/desirable as it was only produced in this configuration for one year. For 2007-2009, a total of three years, Ducati changed the Sport 1000 to Biposto(two seat), Symmetrical Swing Arm, Dual Side Exhaust, Dual Side Rear Shocks, Wet Clutch, 4" Clip-On Risers & One Tooth Larger Rear Sprocket. 2006 Ducati Sport 1000 | Yellow | 11385mi | $11995-Termignoni Slip-On Exhaust & Ducati Performance ECU-OEM Exhaust-All Keys/Card included-Original Purchase Invoice & All service records since new-Service is Current/Up to Date -Adult Owned & Meticulously Cared for -Like New Condition ps. Forza DOOM | Ducati Owners Of Minneapolis Ducati Club Snip-It from an article about the Sport 1000 when it was first released:"Ducati's Sport Classics have been a long time coming, but for the most part it's entirely deliberate. The inspiration for these striking retro bikes dates right back to 1972, and even the Sport Classics themselves have been a familiar sight since first unveiled as concept machines at the Tokyo Show in November 2003.In truth, however, the two years they've taken to reach production is lightning fast (the industry norm for concept to production is three). But however long it felt, now, having ridden them, we're happy to say the wait has been more than worth it.For bikes which could so easily and cynically be described as 'retrograde' steps, both Sport Classics, and particularly the Sport 1000, have proven to be a breath of fresh air. Both are stunningly gorgeous objects which will be treasured by any owner. They are also competent and capable road bikes that will make their owners feel special. But best of all, the Sport is zestful, invigorating and a plain big-grin machine the like of which we've not had in years."Power 91 hp @ 8000rpmTorque 67 lb-ft @ 6000rpmWeight 394 lbsFuel 3.9 galSeat Height 32.5 inRake 24 degreesTrail 4.06 inWheelbase 56.1 inLength 85.8 inEngine air-cooled, 992cc (94 x 71.5mm) four stroke desmodromic 90-degree V-twin.Chassis Tubular steel trellis. When Moto Guzzi introduced its first production motorcycle in 1921 it was powered by a horizontally mounted, 498cc overhead valve single cylinder. It was a format that defined Moto Guzzi engines for decades to come, but in 1966 the Italian company announced a new 700cc V-twin, introducing a new format that continues to define Moto Guzzi today. The Ambassador story goes back to the early 1960s, when Moto Guzzi first started to work out a V-twin for the Italian police. When brothers Joe and Mike Berliner of Berliner Motor Corporation in New Jersey (the importers for Ducati and Moto Guzzi, among other European brands) got wind of the new V-twin they immediately pushed Moto Guzzi to put it into production. The first model, the 704cc V7, went into production in early 1967. Cracking the nut of devout Harley-Davidson riders was a challenge in the early days, and while the new V7 might not have drawn loyal Harley fans, it did provide other motorcycle enthusiasts with a more exotic option.Following closely on the heels of the V7, the larger capacity Ambassador V750 was introduced in 1969. It embodied several traits of its predecessor, and new features added to the bike's U.S. appeal. And helping to augment sales, numerous speed records were gained with the new Moto Guzzi machines. In June of 1969, Remo Venturi took his Guzzi to a production class speed record as he hit 145mph on the fabled Monza circuit. A few months later, in October, Guzzi riders broke the 1,000-kilometer and 6-hour records, turning in average speeds of 125.5mph and 125.3mph, respectively. A CAFÉ RACER FOR A NEW GENERATION In the 1970s, sport riders were modifying their street bikes with some of what they saw being used on the race track, like clip-on handlebars, rear set foot pegs, and “fast” colors. This was done just as much for the “look”, as for increased performance. In the end, motorcycle haunts of the time were filled with individualism and non-conformity expressed in trend-setting styles and experimentation with performance enhancement. The Café Racer style was born. The Ducati Sport 1000 captures the bold style of the early bikes. Starting with the traditional monochromatic color themes of yellow, red and black, each bike also has a contrasting racing stripe across the fuel tank and tailpiece. All three colors are complemented with a classic black frame. With a solo seat and clip-ons, the Sport looks low, lean and ready for a ride in the twisties. The clip-ons on the Sport have, however, been raised about 20 millimeters compared to the Paul Smart for a slightly more relaxed position. The Sport 1000’s suspension features a 43 millimeter upside-down fork by Marzocchi. Suspension by Marzocchi was also the choice on the original 750 Sport Ducati of 1971, and the brushed aluminum forks of the new Sport look as great now as they did back then. Rear suspension is handled by a Sachs single shock, which can be adjusted for pre-load, compression and rebound damping, in conjunction with an elliptical 60 millimeter asymmetrical swingarm. The Sport 1000 has inherited yet another outstanding feature from the original Ducati sport bikes: reduced overall weight. Tipping the scales at just 395 pounds (179 kilograms), you can feel how light it is whether you are going at top speed or simply parking. The limited weight is a distinct advantage of the Sport 1000 when accelerating, cornering or braking. It's the Café Racer style of the Taglioni Sport 750 with modern Ducati performance.

A TRIBUTE TO PAUL SMART AND THE IMOLA 200 VICTORY Englishman Paul Smart’s historic Imola 200 victory in 1972 on the 750 Imola Desmo marked the beginning of the modern Ducati racing era and the emergence of the big-bore twin, sport bike dynasty. The new Paul Smart Limited Edition is a tribute to Smart’s victory and the timeless styling of his silver racer. The exclusive status of this limited edition, available only in a single-seat version, is confirmed by its highly advanced suspension components, a historic color scheme and small production run of just 2000 examples worldwide. Each and every bike has an engraved centre fairing mount cap stating: “Ducati – Paul Smart 1000 – Limited Edition”. The Limited Edition gives the guaranteed performance that you would expect from a modern sport bike, not least because of its first-class components. Up front it features an Öhlins 43 millimeter upside down fork with trademark gold finish. The compression and rebound damping and spring pre-load are adjustable to adapt the bike to different riding styles and road surfaces. The rear suspension is handled by a single shock, also by Öhlins, with 60 millimeter asymmetric rear swingarm. Like the front fork, the single shock is fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping and spring pre-load. To improve stability even more, a polished aluminum steering damper is fitted as standard.

2014 Ducati StreetFighter 848, Control, precision and pure fun: the supremacy of the new Streetfighter 848 The new Streetfighter 848 offers pure motorcycling thrills thanks to its perfect combination of 848 Testastretta 11° engine and a new Trellis frame with Superbike 848EVO-derived geometry. Outstanding control and precision make the Streetfighter 848 irresistible. Thanks to the superb handling offered by the new frame, the progressive easy-to-manage power delivery provided by the Testastretta 11° engine, the confidence-inspiring upright riding position and Ducati Traction Control, which keeps watch over the power, this latest interpretation of the fighter concept delivers instant, knock-out riding enjoyment. The Streetfighter culture was born on the backstreets of Northern Europe during the late 70s and 80s. If the Café racer movement had taken traditional bikes and transformed them to establish out-and-out sportbikes, then Streetfighters were definitely anti-establishment. They evolved by removing the fairings from sport bikes, fitting higher bars and customizing to create high-performance, over-the-top nakeds. Ducati s Streetfighter project was inevitable. The passion to build the most successful Superbikes ever, mixed with the desire to create iconic, naked motorcycles was a rush of adrenaline just waiting to happen. Who else would create a bike for out-and-out purists to celebrate naked power in all its forms? A bike with muscle-engine performance, aggressive chassis engineering and intelligent electronics all laid bare to appreciate, respect and enjoy? The new Paul Smart Limited Edition is a tribute to Smart?s victory and the timeless styling of his silver racer. The exclusive status of this limited edition, available only in a single-seat version, is confirmed by its highly advanced suspension components, a historic color scheme and small production run of just 2000 examples worldwide. Each and every bike has an engraved centre fairing mount cap stating: ?Ducati ? Paul Smart 1000 ? Limited Edition?.
