Brand new Continental TKC 80's just installed. Heavy duty tubes front and rear. Fox "Twin-Clicker" fully adjustable rear shock, rebuilt. GSPD forks, clamps, HD springs, rebuilt. Steering head bearings just replaced. Akront front rim. GSPD front disk. Harrison six piston brake caliper. Galfer steel braded brake line. Acerbis 10+ gallon gas tank. High output headlamp. PIAA driving lights. BMW tachometer. Alternator rebuilt by Motorrad Elektrik. Voltage monitor. Heated grips. 12 volt outlets for heated gear etc. Jesse Bags. Tank bag. Fender bag. Givi top box. Starter recently replaced. Odyssey battery -- New. Solo seat with rack. Stay In-Tune exhaust. Wide foot pegs. The bike runs and shifts excellent. The Harrison brake caliper stops much better than stock. Most everything has been replaced or rebuilt in preparation for a trip that is not going to happen. This motorcycle has been used off road and it has scratches, scrapes, dents, and dings but it is clean and mechanically ready to go. I would not hesitate to take it anywhere. Also, it weighs about half as much as a modern GS so it's much easier to deal with off road. That's all I can think of right now. $6999.00 Some added notes: 133K on the clock. The motor has only break-in miles on it (less than 100 miles). The crank was excellent so we did not touch it. everything from the connecting rod bearings out has been replaced. R100 Nikasil cylinders, and pistons, Deves rings, big valve heads, valves had proper valve grind, 44mm bing carbs, etc. The transmission was rebuilt some time ago, (30K, 50K?) I don't remember exactly, but it shifts perfect, no noise. the drive was rebuilt about 15k ago. All suspension was rebuilt and set up for a loaded bike 3k ago. just installed a new Gel-cell battery. At some point the frame was powder coated. Spare parts and tools are stashed and hidden all over the bike. I haven't even driven on the new Twinduro tires. 1994 BMW R100GS WITH COLLISION DAMAGE. Damage: Bike arrived with a damaged gas tank, handle bars, and side covers had scratches. I purchased new OEM handle bars from BMW and was lucky to find a really nice gas tank and side covers in color right here on EBay. Engine runs great, however the front end is out of alignment. I am not sure what exactly is bent? This bike appears to have been well cared for as you can from the pics. Equipped: Corbin seat, PIAA lights, one side bag, Metzler tires with plenty of tread left. Super clean 1988 BMW R100 GS. This GS has only covered 16,192 miles. The bike is in fantastic un restored condition, there are a few nicks and scratches but over all the bike looks great. All original no after market parts other than hand guards. Everything on the bike works as it should, all the lights, turn signals, brake light and all lights on dash work. The bike starts up first try and runs like a old airhead should. I purchased the bike to turn into a PD look alike, but I think it is to nice to do that with. I am selling my 2007 BMW R1200GS. This ABS equipped bike has been garage stored and professionally maintained its entire life and has only 9700 original miles. Everything pictured on the bike will go with the bike when it sells, EXCEPT for the garmin wiring and the garmin mount. Bike has Touratech bag mounts, a moose tail bag (tool holder), engine guards, and several other guards such as a throttle body guard and frame protectors where boot scuffs may occur. 95% of the miles logged on the clock have been on asphalt, and the other 5% on mild un paved roadways. Bike has never been wrecked or crashed and never has been abused in any way. Tires and brakes are great, and I only use fully synthetic oil. It does not smoke, drip or leak. Battery is new. Transmission shifts nice and smooth. Suspension is great, fork seals do not leak, and shock remains firm with appropriate rebound and compression damping. Bike has never had a passenger on board. This bike has been 100% trouble free and is reliable and ready for a coast to coast journey. All surfaces on bike (paint and coatings) are in great shape and typical for this type adventure style bike with the only blemish being some slight staining on the swing arm where brake fluid was bled. I do have Touratech aluminum bags for this bike but was planning to keep them for use on another bike but I'll gladly sell if the buyer wants them. Bike is in Birmingham Alabama.
