1988 Kawasaki KX250 Dirt bike. Not even broke in yet. I started it rode down the street 1 block and back, then parked it in my garage last week. Have to sell due to health issues.... This Dirtbike was completely disassembled, all paint removed from every part. The frame was repainted with JP1, the sub frame and swingarm are aluminum and have been polished. Each and every nut, bolt, washer, shim, seal, and bearing was inspected, cleaned and if needed replaced. The engine was rebuilt, replacing transmission bearings, main bearings, all seals and gaskets. Replaced clutch with steel plates, installed new cylinder sleeve, new piston, bearing, rod and clips. (Wiseco stock size), polished head. Polished clutch cover. Carburetor rebuilt and has stock jets. Also has Boyesen Reeds. Exhaust pipe is a polished FMF GOLD SERIES with new seals and mounting springs and DG silencer..... Shock and forks rebuilt with all new seals and bushings. . . New wheel bearings, rear fender, fork boots, levers, tire, brakes, bar pad, Renthal Handlebars, grips, decals / graphics, fuel and vent lines, spark plug. New brake fluid, transmission oil, and coolant. Also will include some old parts including a CDI unit and a shop manual and bike decals you can put on. Have over $2000 invested without labor. Please note that the pics of the assembled bike are current and were taken for this listing. the rest of the build pics were before all the details and fabricating were done. so the motor and frame have been completely cleaned. I do have a few other details that I will need to get done before it goes to its new owner. like the chain and fuel line and fresh fluids. Well this should be pretty self explanatory if you're looking at this bike,then you already know all about the 500. I have done all the fabrication work on this bike myself ,I've done a lot of R&D to make sure this will be one of if not the strongest conversions out there. there are no wacky parts from a bunch of other bikes. the only thing not kx450 if the motor, carb, electronics and the boot that goes from the airbox to the carb. it uses the factory 450 radiators in the stock location so all your plastics will line up just like they are suppose to. the motor I believe is an 01, 500 motor. it was recently rebuilt and rechromed not sleeved. this is by far one of the strongest running 500's ive ever owned, and I've owned a lot of them. I am willing to consider trades ,I will also sell as a rolling chassis minus the motor , electronics, and carb. everything else including the exhaust will go with the rolling chassis. feel free to call or text me at 608-346-4015 or email through ebay. thank you John
