It's the bike experienced motorcycle magazine testers consistently choose as their personal favorite-the most refined all-around sports machine there's ever been. And this year we've improved upon perfection by giving the new Interceptor® a torquey, more powerful VTEC engine, a new styling treatment reminiscent of our own NR™ 750 and optional integrated hard luggage.

I'm the 2nd owner of this 2002 Honda VFR800, which has about 26k miles. What isn't stock has been replaced by OEM-size parts. The valves were checked at 16,000 miles (they were within tolerance). The chain & sprockets were replaced along with new plugs and coolant at 20k miles, which is when its last oil change was done. (I always put synthetic oil in it.) The exhaust is stock, the VTEC works great, and the bike runs STRONG. It includes matching Hondaline hard bags. When I started it this year, it started right up and idled right away...and ran perfectly. It might need tires this year, depending on how much you ride. It's not a "hard-core" bike like a CBR; it's a sport-tourer with the emphasis on sport. It'll gladly take on back roads or interstates--whatever you want. I've ridden to Sparta in a cold rain, and the bike was stable and easy to ride.

Refinement No Other Bike Can Touch. With experience comes wisdom. Sure, fluorescent-colored breakfast cereal might be fun when you’re a kid, but as you learn more, you start eating smarter. Same with your motorcycles. Loud, flashy bikes that try to grab your attention with outrageous styling, but do not turn or stop well? Seating positions that would give a chiropractor nightmares? Pass. The experienced rider looks for a machine that works with him or her. That offers plenty of performance, that’s comfortable to ride—even at a brisk pace. For generations, that’s meant Honda’s Interceptor, a bike that performs as well in the curves as it does on the open road. The Interceptor's 782 cc V-4 VTEC engine with fuel-injection mapping for better low-end torque feel. I'm selling my 2002 VFR 800A. This has been a perfect bike. There is nothing wrong with it, but due to a change in career and home I don't ride anymore. This bike has been babied and is in beautiful condition. I never raced this bike or practiced any stunts. The odometer reads under 47K. I still have the red cowl for the rear, too. If you're unfamiliar with the VFR, this bike has a VTEC, V-4 engine. Many Honda cars use VTEC technology. For the bike, the V-4 has a unique, beautiful sound. At low RPM the engine is operating using 2 valves per cylinder, at 6,800 RPMs HOLD ON! That is when the VTEC kicks in and the engine begins operating with 4 valves per cylinder.  The 800A denotes that this bike is equipped with ABS brakes.  I purchased my VFR in 2009 with just over 5K miles and have all the service records since that time. I mostly used it for commuting 60 miles round trip and for some longer road trips from north Florida to the mid-West and places beyond. What a great touring bike that still offers a very smooth ride. Since I've owned this bike it has been garage kept with a battery tender keeping the battery in tip-top shape. I started using Motul full synthetic oil at 11K miles; replacing the oil and filter every 3-4K miles. Add-ons include a ThrottleMeister and K & N air filter. I have a Corbin saddle that I will sell with the bike for an additional $250; otherwise it comes with the stock saddle.  The Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires were put on in December 2012 and only have 6K miles; you can see from the pics that there is still plenty of tread remaining. The most recent maintenance includes changing the battery (4/2017), replacing both cam chain tensioners (6/2014), and flushing all brake lines and replacing all the brake pads (3/2014). This is an amazing all around bike perfect for road trips, commuting, and zipping along corners and elevation.

2015 Honda Interceptor, 2015 Honda® Interceptor® Refinement No Other Bike Can Touch With experience comes wisdom. Sure, fluorescent-colored breakfast cereal might be fun when you re a kid, but as you learn more, you start eating smarter. Same with your motorcycles. Loud, flashy bikes that try to grab your attention with outrageous styling, but do not turn or stop well? Seating positions that would give a chiropractor nightmares? Pass. The experienced rider looks for a machine that works with him or her. That offers plenty of performance, that s comfortable to ride even at a brisk pace. For generations, that s meant Honda® s Interceptor®, a bike that performs as well in the curves as it does on the open road. The Interceptor®'s 782cc V-4 VTEC engine with fuel-injection mapping for better low-end torque feel. It includes adjustable seat height to better fit a range of riders, front-mount radiator for a slimmer profile, radial-mount front brakes, and all-side muffler, wheels and Pro-Arm® swingarm. There s even a Deluxe model for 2015 with features like traction control, anti-lock brakes, self-cancelling turn signals, a centerstand and heated grips. Features May Include: Digital Instruments The Interceptor® s instruments include a digital speedometer, analog tachometer, gear-position indicator, miles-per-gallon readout, ambient air temperature gauge and a clock. Radial-Mount Front Brakes The Interceptor® uses radial-mounted monobloc front-brake calipers. This construction makes the caliper stiffer, and that means you get better brake feel for more linear, powerful stopping. Twin-Spar Aluminum Chassis The foundation for the Interceptor® s stellar, tack-sharp handling, the twin-spar all-aluminum design is light and strong. Digital Fuel-Injection Always a technology showcase, the Interceptor® s engine uses digital fuel injection that is specially mapped to work with the VTEC engine two-valve/four-valve operation to increase both low-end torque and high-RPM horsepower. V-4 Engine Drawing on 30 years of V-4 technology and racing success, Honda® designers gave the Interceptor® one of our most advanced streetbike engines ever: a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled 782cc V-4 brimming with low-end torque. Single-Sided Swingarm Honda® s Pro Arm® single-sided swingarm is a proven design, and the Interceptor® s swingarm is lighter and mounts the chain and brake disc on one side for easier wheel servicing and tire changes. It looks better too! Stainless Steel Muffler Streamlined and compact, the muffler offers a significant weight reduction from previous designs. Adjustable Seat Height Adjustable f
