This 2007 BMW K1200R Sport is ready-to-ride, with up-to-date service at Bob's BMW (Laurel, MD), recent tires (Michelin Pilot Power 3) and new Yuasa battery. Everything on the bike is in working order. Clear Maryland Title in hand. Hi-res photos available here: flickr.com/photos/stevekl0/albums/72157650152147685 Right up front I want to disclose the only two items that I know of that a new owner may wish to address on the bike: (1) Left heated grip does not feel like it is heating 100%, and (2) Front sport wheel has a small, cosmetic flaw from a pothole (see photo). Personally, I happily ride this bike with these two issues knowing that if I still own the bike in 2,000-3,000 miles when new tires will be needed, I can have a wheel doctor fix the cosmetic issue at that time for about $200. If I wanted to bring the left heated grip up to 100%, I can either solder-in a new section of heating element, or replace the whole thing for about $100. Given that these two items might require some investment from the new owner, I have priced the bike accordingly. 2002 BMW K1200RS & HANNIGAN SIDECAR, As a dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable sidecar guy Bob has had sidecars of his own for 30 years. As a result so has Bob’s BMW. But it’s either we never have enough ready to go outfits to meet demand or all of a sudden we have several to choose from. The latter is what Bob prefers since it gives customers a choice.While we love to build new ones similar to this rig or even more exotic versions based on the newest high performance, adventure or touring machines the hard part has always been the ability to offer up nice, well cared for, fully serviced turnkey rigs that also turn heads for less than $20,000 let alone less than $15,000. But occasionally it happens.This is one of those occasions. While Bob’s did not sell this bike new or construct this rig we have plenty of firsthand knowledge and history on it. And have serviced it a few times since he acquired it. The prior owner was a 20 plus year client of Bob’s and this is actually the second time we’ve taken in one of his sidecar based machines. The sidecar pre-dates the bike by about 3 years, being produced in 1998 or 1999 and it was installed on his prior bike in 1999 or 2,000. It arrived here with 42,821 miles.Now this beautiful outfit is ready for a new home as he is no longer riding. We’ve done a through end to end servicing and added several upgrades and improved a few others we felt needed to be improved. Then the very day after it was all done Bob allowed a local friend, customer and very experienced sidecarist to use it for the 2014 Ride for Kids® so he could be a VIP escort as the event needed a few more pilots. As he got to take it home the day before and return it on Monday the official test ride came to about 125 enjoyable issue free miles. Bob logged some himself as well. So you know this one is ready for your enjoyment.
