2006 BMW F650GS 13700 miles Beautifully maintained and lightly ridden. I am selling this bike for my wife. We are the second owners of this bike; we purchased it four years ago from Capital BMW in North Carolina. The bike had only 100 miles on it when we took delivery. As the story goes, the original owner was a woman who bought the bike to ride with her boyfriend. They broke up soon afterward and the bike sat in her garage. She subsequently sold it back to the dealer with 100 miles on it. The dealer replaced all of the fluids and battery before we took bought it. This is the final year of the F650GS single manufactured by BMW in Germany. After 2007 the G650GS single no longer has the quality Rotax-built engine and is no longer German-built (made in India, I think). Anyway, suffice it to say that this is the final model year of the preferred, German-built F650GS and you will not likely find one with fewer miles or in better condition than this one. The bike has been extremely reliable and a great machine but my wife recently stepped up to a larger bike. So, this one needs to go. The bike is specifically set up for a shorter rider; it has a 2" lowering link by Kouba and a stepped low Sargent seat bringing the seat height down to about 29 inches. The lowering link can be easily removed and the bike restored to standard height in about 15 minutes. The sidestand was professionally shortened for this lowering modification but I'm willing to throw in a new stock sidestand, if neccessary. The bike has been loved, regularly maintained and always garaged. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a lower cost but solid, comfortable and fun BMW PROJECT BIKE that has even greater potential after a little attention. And it might actually pass the MSI or Maryland Safety Inspection certification process just as it is so while we are writing and submitting this to the website we've sent an internal request to perform that and we'll share the results with any interested buyers. We recently installed a new battery and plug wire, made a few minor adjustments and it started right up and ran OK, even the ABS was working fine.But before we go father, this is a PROJECT BIKE. That should clearly communicate that it's not like a regular used bike we offer at Bob's let alone one of our ADVANTAGE CERTIFIED BMW's. Selling my BMW!! Decided to sell before the season is over, I'm not sure im staying in the area after this winter :(. This bike has under 22,000 miles which is low for a BMW. Comes with: -Heated grips -Electronics system for heated gear -Lots of tread on tires -'Sargent' aftermarket seat -Original BMW hard panniers (use same ignition key) -Rear and tank bags -Alarm system -Skid plate This bike is ready to take you anywhere. I did drop it once and so the bolt which locks the left pannier fell out and scratched the plastic a little bit (pictured). Will need to replace (but is an easy fix). I have maintenance record from Bob's BMW for the work I had done on it. I get more than 55 mpg!!

2005 BMW F650GS, By far our e favorite compact Beemer of all time – despite the smaller stature these bikes just roll and roll and roll. We had a fleet many years back dedicated as our service loaners. Dependable every single day and fun – even for the customers leaving their K1100RS’s and K1100LT’s for maintenance or repair. I’m not sure I can recall us ever having another black one (also our favorite color) with such few miles.This one as built in late 2004 and sold in early 2005 out of the area but moved here with what we know to be the 2nd owner. Now you could be in line to be number 3 and actually start placing some real miles on this wonderful machine. It is an ABS equipped model that also has factory heated grips, 4-way hazard warning flashers, factory center stand option and the stock tall seat. These peppy models also came with a low standard screen to keep the bugs off your gear and there are taller options readily available.To bring it up to our high standards and qualify it for the ADVANTAGE CERTIFIED program exclusive to Bob’s we have completed a full service on this machine. That included all fluids, new Metzeler Tourance tires (filled with Nitrogen), some fresh hardware here and there, a thorough cleaning and refinishing of brake discs and carriers, replacing an exhaust clamp and a pair of rear turn signal indicators as they were scratched up a bit. We also installed an accessory socket for ease of keeping the battery in top shape.Beyond that there is not much to tell that you can’t easily see in these images. It’s pretty darn clean from end to end, the paint shines far better than most and the wheels, exhaust system, frame, forks and driveline all look superb. Even the seat looks practically new as do the handlebars, controls and gauges. It came to use with just one key but we’ll cut another when it’s got a newly assigned owner. An owner’s manual and factory tool kit is included. We feel it’s a great value so we suggest you or someone you know who would make a perfect companion for this F650GS get in quick and claim it.
