BMW makes the ultimate touring motorcycles and this bike has all the features you want at a price that gets you on the road affordably. 1150 cc fuel-injected twin with shaft drive is smooth, quiet and powerful - 95 hp @7500 RPM. ABS brakes, power adjustable windshield, heated grips, Sargent seat. Includes BMW side cases and top case. Includes mount for Garmin GPS. BMW Telelever (front) and Paralever (rear) suspension means nimble handling through the corners while seemingly on a rail at speeds that may be far in excess of legal limits. Upright seating position keeps weight off the arms and you stay comfortable all day long. Cover the distance for as long as you want - 6.6 gallons of fuel will take you over 300 miles between fill-ups. Cosmetically the bike is not perfect (nothing cracked, broken or missing, never wrecked) but it runs great. Ride it "as is" for another 75,000+ miles or spend some time and make it look like new again. The 1150RT is the best of both worlds - sport and touring.

This exceptionally nice 2005 R1150RT represents the final year that BMW built one of their finest and most popular sport/sport touring motorcycles. In 2005 both the R1150RT and the R1200RT were available which made for some very interesting decision making by many customers. Bob's invested equally in the R1150 as we did with the R1200 to have over 20 new R1150RT's in stock when the R12RT was on the floor all while other dealers thought they were done forever. While there is no question a decade later the R1200RT is the bike with more of everything, at the time when both were side by side in the Bob's BMW showroom a great number of people rode both and purchased the R1150RT. It was fun to watch and participate in. And that may explain why we still have great demand for every R1150RT we get in, especially in this kind of condition.

Very clean 2002 BMW 1150RT sport/touring motorcycle! 33,900 miles, ABS, servo-assist brakes, fully-adjustable windscreen. Comes with BMW top case, panniers and tank bag system. Also includes a set of BMW extra deep pannier lids which can be installed for larger loads. Custom Corbin saddle, Autocom intercom, stereo system. This bike has always been garaged and well maintained. I recently purchased a 2016 version of the same bike so, unfortunately, I need to part with this old friend.

2002 BMW R1150RT-P, These ex-Authority bikes remain popular for many reasons: they look cool, they’re in colors civilian bikes are not offered, they come with extra equipment that is very expensive purchased separately and are set up for solo riding or touring. This one was originally sold to and used by the CHP in California according to BMW’s documentation. The person we acquired it from is believed to be the second owner but there is no way to confirm this with 100% accuracy. This is a PROJECT BIKE. We suggest that anyone interested in this machine read the full details, closely review the images provided, read the special bill of sale shared in the PROJECT BIKE section of the website and make time for a in person inspection. Like any PROJECT you might take on there can always be risks or unexpected issues which could arise later on.We do our best to honestly share all details and history we know about or have discovered during our intake inspection but that may not be everything associated with any given PROJECT BIKE. We also firmly believe that at the prices we offer these PROJECT BIKES all represent exceptional values based on the good parts that convey with each machine and all of them could be parted out at significant profit or just used as a spares bike for an identical model you may already own.It arrived running and started, shifted through all gears, stopped and rode fine on the slightly less than 1 mile loop we took it out on. There was some engine noise which could be from the timing chain, chain rails or even the valves; we’ve not explored this at all and it may run fine for thousands of miles without doing anything. The battery was not in perfect shape to start with but was on a trickle charger and we started it up just fine a week or so before doing this write up in late February.
