For your consideration is this 2005 Yahama R6. The bike looks good, sounds good, runs good, and is a perfect Christmas present....it just needs a big bow on it!! It's a real head turner! This bike has less than 13,000 original miles and is running perfectly! I just put a new battery in it as well as had an oil change, coolant flush and brand new brakes installed ( all professionally done at 12,500 miles). The bike is well maintained and needs nothing in order to ride it. I still use it on occasion but have another that is my daily commuter. She's fast but a perfect bike to learn on. I am the second owner, the first owner is a friend of mine, and unfortunately he did lay it down on the beach scraping up the left side fairings (pictured). Truly not very noticible unless you're actually looking for it up close. Touch up paint would do wonders; I've just never cared! The bike has a clean title and it is in hand ready to transfer. I just had the bike registered in October so any California owners wouldn't need to worry about new stickers until October 2016. A truly great bike that I really don't want to get rid of, but my wife says otherwise. Happy Wife = Happy Life after all! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! This is a 2009 Yamaha R6S with 32k miles. I'm very happy with it and drive it every day. Gets 35 - 45 mpg depending on how I ride. I'm selling it because I'm leaving the country for a while - I'd otherwise just keep it forever.Original owner dropped ~20k miles ago on the left side. All non-cosmetic issues (if any) were fixed. I've ridden it for 3.5 years since with no issues; perfect for a daily driver as it won't stay pristine either way. Used for commuting, weekend twisties, and long distance trips - works well in all aspects. Left mirror folds and this bike isn't very wide for a sports bike, splits easily for me.Oil, filters, and brakes were done in the past ~500 miles. Replaced rear brake caliper and rotor recently as well (needed new seals). Needs new tires within a thousand or so miles. The dashboard has the backlight, brights indicator, and right turn signal indicators out - headlights and turn signals work fine, just the console/dashboard display. I'll try and fix it before selling (not sure how difficult they are to reach), but otherwise be advised they burnt out. Please Read everything carefully before purchase* This bike is not California Carb legal. (Impossible to register in California but can use for track bike) Clean title and ready to register in any other 49 US states. The bike has a Check engine light after I removed the Power commander. Easy fix if you are familiar with Power commanders. With that said, Here are the specs on the bike. I bought this bike from a friend from out of state. Upon delivery, I found out that its not carb legal or missing the carb sticker for California. It had about 7,300 miles on it. So I used the bike for track purpose. I am just being honest. I am a beginner rider so it wasn't abused, but I had a lot of fun with it. The bike has 8,450 miles on it now. The bike runs perfect. Transmission is solid, And I always used Yamalube on tune ups. Starts with no issues and runs well. Revs with no lag after warm up and idles with no issues. The bike never crashed, but my girlfriend dropped it when it was stand still in my garage. So there is a slight scuff on the fairing on the right side. Very minor. I had some mods on it that I removed and the bike is back to stock except, D.I.D -1 +2 Sprockets and 520 chain. The teeth on the gears have no signs of wear. Carbon Fiber covers on triple plate and gauge cluster Blacked out all of silver parts with high heat treated matte paint. Dual HID 3k and 6k Shorty levers Flushed turn signals Hotbody integrated rear tail lights Clear R6 grips.. Thats about it. I will send over my Icon mesh jacket and My girl friends Pink rider jacket with the bike. It comes with OEM Yamaha 2009 Pearl white fairings. Not china made. The tires have decent tread on them. This bike and the motor is solid but I just want to get rid of it because I have a baby girl on the way and its gonna collect dust. So bottom line. No California buyers. (unless you drive to Nevada to register it) It does have a Check Engine light, after I removed the power commander. Minor fix. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and transportation.
