1991 Honda CB-1 Type 2 RARE Japanese Market PLATED! Street legal 1991 JDM Honda NC27 in beautiful low mileage unmolested original condition !!!! The CB-1 is one of those wonderful Honda's from the late 80's and early 90's, everything about these bikes is classic Honda. An engine that is a work of art, beautiful fit, finish, quality and typical Honda reliability. I own a U.S. Spec 89 model, which I am keeping as it has a number of mods. The Type2 (or MKII) CB-1 was only sold in Japan, it has some slight differences from the early U.S. model which was pulled from the market here after only two years. The 1991 model has a slightly larger tank, a full stainless exhaust system, different rear shock, higher bars, taller gear ratio and other small things, like the cool tinted indicator lenses, Km speedo etc etc. And of course, the very cool black engine and dark grey/silver frame and accents. The fact that clean lower mile well preserved examples of the Hawk 650, GB500 and CB-1 command the same as new prices or more is testament to how much Honda had it right when they were producing these bikes. The CB-1 is special in its simplicity and do it all nature. The CBR400 derived engine makes wonderful gear driven cam music and provides just the right amount of usable power on the street. The engine is the focal point of the bike but the handling and braking are just as superb. The later CB400 super fours are abundant in Japan but the CB-1 is quite rare due to its overall short production run. I looked for a long time to find a clean stock low Km example. This bike is a true survivor and was stored inside and has avoided most of the harsh Japanese conditions that render many of the older classic bikes with corrosion. If you are looking for a nice CB-1 you will be hard pressed to find a nicer one, and you will probably never see another JDM type 2, I have never seen or heard of another one in the states. Legally imported in accordance with DOT and EPA it has a clean and clear Arizona title with plate and new 2017 tags. It has an 11 digit Japanese VIN so California reg may be troublesome, but everywhere else will be fine. I just recently did full service on the bike, full carb clean and sync, fresh oil and filter, fresh 50/50 coolant (and flush) fresh Synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid front and rear. (All this was less than 50 miles ago). Battery and spark plugs are a bit older but still pretty new. Tires are not original, good tread but older. I would advise going with fresh rubber before any spirited riding. The bike starts and runs beautifully, it turns over and fires instantly when warm and the same when cold on the choke. The carburation is excellent with smooth linear power from down low to the 13,500 RPM redline. The bike truly runs wonderfully. Everything works, all lights, signals, warning lamps . The bike is 100% stock, exhaust, rear fender etc etc. Bike has just over 7000 original miles. Please have a close look at the photos, I will also add a short video of the bike starting and running. There are some small areas of corrosion on the valve cover, and around other metal bits, some are minor enough they started to clean up as soon as I worked on them with some cleaner. The bike has been in my shop for awhile and while covered etc, its still could use a pretty good detail. There is one small scratch on the top rear of the tail cowl and a small discoloration spot on the right side of the tail cowl. And those stickers....I didn't have the heart to remove them...I will let the new owner decide on that...but being a bit of a Japanophile and lover of all things *Engrish* I left them in place...and I assume they are early 90s period correct. Check the battely :) Please have a close look at all the pictures and let me know if you need more of a certain part of the bike or if I overlooked anything ask any and all questions. Very Clean 2013 Suzuki SFV650 (also called Gladius)One owner (me), purchased new in 2014.Adult owned and well taken care of, this motorcycle has no issues and no damage, period. I have ridden this bike as a (fair weather) commuter for almost 3 years and approximately 6200 miles.It has given me zero issues!It has been garage kept and has never been ridden in any significant rain.Never raced or abused. The tires were replaced at 4600 miles with (high end) Dunlop Sportmax Q3s and the Oil (Synthetic only) and Air Filters were changed at 5000 miles.There is no service needed at all, just get on and ride! If you are not familiar with the SFV650, do some googling and you will find very favorable reviews as it is the successor to the very popular SV650 with a bit more style.This bike can work for a new rider or as a second motorcycle.The stock seat height is pretty low (30.9") which aids confidence.In my opinion, this bike should be considered over any of the new 250/300cc bikes from Japan and Europe as it has much more room to grow as a rider.The power is very usable and there is enough to excite pretty much anybody.0-60 acceleration times in the low 3 seconds are quoted, just think how much you would have to pay for a car that could do that!The bike is also relatively light at < 450 pounds wet. I have done a few very tasteful modifications.The significant modifications were all done by the dealer.I have all the original parts if you are not happy with the changes, you can revert them. Front forks were very soft on the stock motorcycle so they were updated with Race Tech: Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators and Hi-Performance Fork Springs. Google: Racetech sfv650 for some interesting information. The dealer did this install. Note only the front fork was done, I am happy with the rear shock and it is stock The front brakes lacked strong feel on the stock bike so they were upgraded to steel braided lines and HH Pads. All components are from Galfer. The dealer also did this install. Included is the rear braided brake line and upgraded pads but they are not installed.Tail Tidy - This cleans up the rear of the motorcyle nicely and includes an LED taillightGenuine Suzuki windscreen - It's small, looks decent and really helps the wind blast on the highway.IXIL L2X Hyperlow Slip on Exhaust - The V-twin on this bike sounds great and the IXIL makes it sound even better without being totally obnoxious. I get complements from guys on other bikes for how great the bike sounds. Keep in mind if this is not for you I have the stock exhaust (which weighs significantly more too). Lithium Battery - I love these because they are much lighter, can't leak and hardly require a battery tender as a Lithium battery is very slow to discharge.Air Filter was replaced at 5000miles with a BMC which can be cleaned versus replaced. The asking price is very reasonable for this bike, I like to give people a good deal and have both sides feel good about the sale.Take a look at the other SFV650s being sold by some dealers and you will find them significantly higher.
