Has been stored since 2002, includes a spare motor (engine) for parts. Starts easily, very strong engine and transmition. New oil and oil filter, fuel hoses. Since it has not been used since 2002 it should be throughly checked before operating on highway. May need some work.

I am sad to have to sell this lovely lady but unfortunately I just do not have the room to keep her. I have a second bike and this girl does not get the attention and the use that she needs! This bike is so solid! There are no running issues what-so-ever! The carbs have been rebuilt, the front and rear brake calipers have been rebuilt, valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket, new chain, tires still have lots of life, new battery purchased in May 2016 and a new petcock(fuel valve.) She has 13,600 original miles! All lights are working, fuel gauge works, gear position indicator(4th gear does not light up on the indicator, needs new bulb.) This girl is all original! Their handling far surpassed their rivals, and the engines are powerful and bulletproof, modelled very closely after Kawasaki's Z-engines, with several interchangeable parts. This is a very usable bike, even today. In fact, I ride it regularly, including on So. Cal Freeways, where it has given me no problems in traffic. The previous owner restored this bike in what he stated was a “frame off restoration”. The bike runs exceptionally well. The following work was done: Frame and bodywork repainted.Carburetors sent for specialist rebuilding with all new parts and tuned perfectly.New brake lines and pads, discs turned and vented.New chain.New seat.New lithium battery and charger.New tires.New speedometer and tachometer cables.New clutch cable.NOS gear-position display (the gear indicator works properly; often these are a problem). Only problem that I know of is that the speedometer needle vibrates at high speed, above about 85 mph. Great Bike, meticulously cared for. Had the carbs cleaned and the engine serviced back in October. Just changed the oil, installed new battery, and put a new rear tire on as well. Bike starts on first try every time. One of the few 650 model GS's that were made, lots of fun to ride both for a daily commute or on the highway. Bike is CA registered, with clean title. 1982 Suzuki Red Suzuki GS550 model GS, body type RS. Needs work. Ran well the last time I ran it 5 yr ago, although it always did run hot. Handlebars bent, broken lights. Some dents. One piece of plastic missing from side, and speedometer plastic cover is broken. Nice new seat - I just had it re-apolstered. TITLE CLEAN, though recently made non-operational. Spouse wants it out of garage asap. I will miss it. $250.00
