Own the classic 1978 Yamaha XS1100! Fastest production bike made in 1978. Excellent condition, only 9,145 miles. All original, exceptionally well maintained, mechanically sound. Maroon with gold pinstripes, minimal scratches. 1100cc, air-cooled, DOHC inline four, constant velocity carbs, unique polyspheric combustion chambers and transistorized ignition with vacuum advance to deliver power evenly, 30-40 mpg. Five gears and a smooth shaft drive for touring. Twin front and single rear disc brakes. Only two owners, who both shared a love of this now classic bike.

Great deal on this 1981 Yamaha XS 1100 Special. Low mileage - 28,420 mi. I have owned and cared for this bike for 27 yrs. I put about 1000 mi a year riding only summer months. I bought it from a neighbor who cleaned it with a toothbrush. I have maintained the same way through the years and it has served me well. I am selling to move up to a BMW touring bike for a change. Always garaged. All OEM parts. 800 miles on tires. Cruise Control, Seat recently re-upholstered. Recent oil change. Added windshield and adjustable luggage rack. K&N Air filters and carb jetted appropriately. Absolutely fast and fun to ride. Maintenance record available. 1979 Yamaha XS1100 Special with fewer than 10K original miles. The bike was completely disassembled (except engine block), welds on frame cleaned up and filled as necessary for a flawless look. All parts and frame were media blasted and then powder coated (except engine block and plastic covers). Reassembly involved replacing all seals, gaskets, bearings, hoses some bolts, screws, nuts and brake cylinder parts. The new brake lines are HEL stainless steel braided with black covers. The airbox was removed and replaced with K&N pods, original box is included in the sale along with other extras. I've never liked polishing chrome so there is none, time better spent riding.Carbs have been professionally cleaned and assembled, diaphragms are new, aircraft grade rubber. Clean title in hand, currently registered in OR until Aug 2017
