1970 Yamaha R5 350 Original Excellent Condition Original Paint Matching numbers 2nd Owner Engine Number: R5 001902 Frame Number: R5 001902 This is a very original well cared for 1970 first year Yamaha R5 California bike. I bought it from the original owner 17 years ago in Napa, CA with 7,349 original miles on it. It had been in storage and not ridden in the 20 years prior to my purchase in 1998. I have put about 3,500 miles on it in 17 years. I own a vintage bike collection and rotate the bikes I ride and therefore I have not put too many miles on this R5. It has been a California motorcycle since 1970 and has it's original Blue California License plate currently registered with the DMV. I registered the bike as non-operated in 2014 and you will only need to transfer title and pay the current registration to put this bike back on the road in CA. If this bike is going to an out of state buyer I will keep the license plate. This bikes runs great and starts on the first kick. 1970 was the first year for what became the RD350. This is a Two-stroke engine with auto lube oil injection. Just put 2 stroke oil in the oil tank, gas in the gas tank and start. No pre-mixing necessary. This R5 runs like it should, shifts through all 5 gears smoothly and has that classic R5/RD 2 stroke engine ring-a-ding-ding sound as you accelerate up into it's power band. Although this bike is now 45 years old, it has very little wear on it due to it's low 10,800 original miles and runs very strong.Just about every part on the bike is original to this motorcycle including the original tool set. I did change the handlebars, hand grips, battery, spark plugs, drive chain, tubes and tires. I have the original handlebars with chrome in very good condition which will go with the bike. I will be happy to mount them on the bike if that is preferred by the new owner before pick up. I also have some flat rise "drag" bars I could swap for the low bars currently on the bike if the new owner doesn't want the original or low bars. The original tires were on the bike when I bought it but I replaced them due to their age 15 years ago. The Dunlop K81 rear tire currently on the bike is getting worn and could use a replacement in the next 1,000 miles. Pretty much the only original parts missing are the turn signals which had been removed by the previous owner and the headlight switch thumb knob. The headlight switch still works with the tip of the remaining part of the knob still protruding enough to operate. This is an easy fix, but never got around to it.Original candy Purple Paint is in excellent condition with no apparent fading. Guages are in excellent working condition with very little visible wear. There is some very light surface rust in some areas on the chrome, mostly limited to the rear shock springs. Original Paint on the frame is in very nice condition along with the tank and side covers and headlight bucket. There is a few very small wear spots on the top of the headlight bucket from the brake cable and clutch cables rubbing it.The original seat is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the cover. Seat pan is clean with original factory stickers. Seat foam is soft and retains it's original shape. Chrome on headers, mufflers, fenders and wheels are in excellent condition. Overall, a really nice non abused surviving classic Yamaha two-stroke street bike that is ready to ride for many more years to come. Didn't think I would ever sell this bike, but I need to downsize my collection. Please look at pictures carefully and ask any questions you might have prior to bidding, I will be happy to answer any questions about this motorcycle. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. I am happy to meet you for pick up or I am willing to be available to meet a door to door shipper. I can also bring the bike to a Forward Air terminal near San Francisco for a $75 additional fee or I will deliver the bike within 200 miles of San Francisco, CA for $150. Please, only bid if you are serious. Bidders with bad payment history will be rejected. A deposit of $200 must be made within 3 days of the end of auction. Remaining balance must be paid and funds cleared before pick up and within 5 business days of auction end. Payment by cash, wire transfer, personal check (after clears) or cashier’s check. Paypal o.k. on the deposit, but not on the balance. This is an antique motorcycle and is sold "as is." All sales are final. Thanks and good luck.

mattterri Store This is a very nice 1973 Yamaha RD350. The bike runs very well, starts on the 1st or 2nd kick. It idles nicely, and just the proper faint amount of 2 stroke smoke. It has 6037 miles on it as of today, but this may change a little, as I do ride this bike. It is too much fun not to ride. A lot of time and money has been put into this bike over the last 2 years. It has a professionally done very nice paint job, done in a similar scheme as a 73 Yamaha TX style. It is glass smooth and shines very nice (no orange peel, runs, or bad spots). The seat upholstery is original and in nice condition, with no rips or tears. The chrome is decent and looks nice, but it is 43 years old, and does have the usual light pitting as would be expected. There is one small scrape on the right muffler at the rear about the size of a dime (see pics). The bike has been fully serviced, and needs nothing at this time. The engine has excellent compression, no piston rattle noise, and runs very well. Clutch works properly, and trans shifts into all gears as it should. Below is a partial list of recent work performed and parts installed: 1. Front brake system flushed, caliper rebuilt with new seals, master cylinder rebuilt with new seals. 2. Gas tank cleaned and properly sealed with Caswell tank liner (will never rust, and will never flake loose like Kreem liners) 3. Professionally done paint work in burnt orange color with 73 Yamaha TX style graphics. 4. Carburetors ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt. Refinished in PJ1 satin black as original. Sync'd and tuned to bike. 5. Petcock rebuilt with new seals 6. New drive chain installed 7. Front forks rebuilt with new oil seals 8. New clutch & brake levers installed 9. New intake manifold boots, and air filter 10. New clutch cable 11. New grips 12. All fresh fluids (gearbox, 2 stroke oil, & front brake fluid) 13. New points / condensors / & spark plugs 14. Points professionally gapped & timed to factory specifications 15. New battery (charging system tested for proper output) 16. New engine cover decals 17. New period correct style mirror 18. New front and rear tires & tubes Please email or call if you are interested in the bike, but have other questions, I'd be happy to answer them. 937-376-0424. Bike runs and looks flawless. It's been a fair weather rider with probably 500 miles on it since completed. Tuned perfectly, it starts on first / second kick and never fouls plugs. Perfect 2mm smoke ring was obtained during plug chops. Engine conservatively timed @ 1.7mm BTDC and running 32:1 premix Amsoil Interceptor oil and 93 Octane. This was a stripped to the frame custom rebuild. The frame and wheels were powder coated and the tank and side covers a 175 dollar paint job. Every bearing including the steering head are now new caged roller bearings. The chain and sprockets are new 520 units. The forks are a 850 dollar rebuild by HVC cycle. New tubes, springs and ceramic coated lowers. New performance rear shocks. New DG expansion chambers. Rebuilt carbs with new fiber reeds and a K&N intake system. It is jetted a little on the rich side for better cooling. Bored .030 over with new Weisco pistons, rings, and wrist pins. The piston crowns were ceramic coated to reduce heat in the pistons. Both fenders, taillight bracket, grab bar re chromed. Engine cases powder coated. All cables and most rubber parts are new. The seat was rebuilt by Sargent's. All lighting is new and everything works including the instrument lights. Speedometer and Tach both work. It has a custom boxed aluminum swing arm as found on a racing bike. The clutch pack is new EBC with new springs. It is a little stiffer than stock. I have receipts to give buyer that total $6559. I paid 1200 for the bike. I have lost the receipt for the swing arm and the powder coating The swing arm was 600 dollars and the powder coating was at least 400 dollars. The brake lines are stainless, the master cyl on the front is new, rebuilt with a kit on the rear and new EBC pads. Do not bother to get in touch if you think that you will get me off of that price very much. I am a licensed FAA aircraft mechanic so this wasn't a shade tree job. In the early 70's I pitted for a guy racing AMA flat track and we ran a two stroke and 4 stroke bikes. This the bike that always wanted to build for me and retirement made it happen. I have put way less than 500 miles on it because I am now 72 and getting on and off is really unstable for me and I don't want to drop it on me or the ground. I have had a bike from 1965 to now and selling this one was never the plan. You can take a test ride if I have 7500 dollars in my hand and consider it sold if you damage it in any way. Call me at 478 247 3705 between 9AM and 9PM only. If you get voice mail I will return your call as long as it came in between 9-9. No salesmen or re sellers please.

1973 Yamaha Rd60 , All original, unrestored classic RD60, matching numbers and clean title. There's a sentence you don't see often with these bikes. This bike looks great and has a fantastic patina. Original paint and chrome look great. Fluids have been drained for display/storage. I was told it ran great prior to storage but I haven't run it, and never intended to. The frame VIN and engine VIN match, and I have a clear title in my name. Would look nice in any collection. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. The Story: My step-son bought this in Canada in Sept 1982. He took it to California and registered it. After he had an accident in 1986 it sat in the garage until he sold it to me in 1991. I registered it in Virginia until 2005 then I moved to Arizona. It currently has a clear Arizonia title. There are 26,189Kms on it. That's apx 16,244 miles I have two of these, it's time to sell one. THE GOOD I know it's history, where it's been, what it's done, and what's been done to it. You are purchasing a bike that has only had two owners and those have been in the same family. Apx 2,000 miles ago I refreshed the top end with new pistons, rings, and small end brearings. New base, head, and exhaust gaskets. Rebuilt carbs to include gaskets, jets, slide, and float needles. Rebuilt front end to include oil and seals. New chain and front and rear sprockets. THE BEST PART: It's all original. OK, it has some nuts and bolts that are not original and it's been maintained to keep it running for 33 years. BUT, it's unmolested. No pod intake filters, no aftermarket exhaust, no BS tuning. The carbs, intake, exhaust and baffles are original and because of that it runs really sweet. THE BAD Hey, it's 33 years old. And has patina. The gas tank is dented in several places (see pictures). Scratch on rear cowling (see Picture). Right exhause is scraped. Otherwise, normal wear and tear for a bike that's 33 years young. LAST, BUT NOT LEAST I am willing to transport it within 500 miles of Phoenix, AZ for $150.00. I am willing to transport it within 1000 miles of Phoenix for $500.00. I will only accept payment thru PayPal. It must be paid in full before it moves out of my driveway. Deposit is forfeit if not paid in full in 7 days. If you want to pick it up in Gilbert, the deposit has to be made, PayPal in full or cash only at pickup. NO SCAMMERS!! For overseas buyers: I will crate it at cost and transport it to Phoenix Sky Harbor AirPort to a freight forwarder of your choice. You will make arrangements to pay them directly. Or I can transport it to a freight forwarder in the Long Beach area for cost and $150.00. And you can pay the freight forwarder directly. If you have any questions please call me on my cell at Seven 03.987.634 two. The bike and I are in Arizonia. My phone is on 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm MST (AZ doesn't go on Daylight Savings Time). 1984 Yamaha Rd 500 LC – Runs great starts in one or two kicks. Great power and Nice condition low miles. Stored in garage. Clean Utah title in my name. Has new JL Gp pipes stainless bodies and carbon fiber tips. 4 Carberators cleaned and re- jetted with over sized jets 200 main jets and 25 small jets. Less than a 4 miles on with new pipes and jets it was stack before. Comes with stock pipes. These were very heavy and I think had a catiletic converter but not sure. The new pipes are much lighter and it feels faster with the new pipes. This bike also has a new lithium light weight battery. I have ordered a new planstic kit for $1200 and it has not come yet. The original plastic is shown in the pictures. The bike looks so awesome without the plastic that I thought I would give it a chance to be listed like this. It does have a couple small scratches on the bottom of the pipe.
