1972 Yamaha CS5 & 1975 Yamaha RD200 A Lovely Pair of Two-Strokes for Different Folks We are selling, as a pair, a 1972 Yamaha CS5 and a 1975 Yamaha RD200. What better than two classic Yamahas to explore the world around you? These are two very fine examples, different in their own rights, but ready to ride and make memories with. This would be an ideal "his and hers" setup. CS5 We are selling a 1972 Yamaha CS5E 200 Street. AKA, the RD200 predecessor. The "E" stands for electric start. This bike has 895 original miles, and it has been preserved or restored where necessary to excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It got 2nd place in the April 2014 OC Vintage bike show in Huntington Beach, CA. Everything on it works, and it runs and rides great. It is a blast to ride...light, quick, and great handling. The bike starts easily with either the electric or kick start, and shifts through the 5 gears smoothly. The brakes are excellent..the front being the same size twin-leading show as on the contemporary R5 350. The auto lube system has new lines and is properly adjusted and works as it should. Some of the highlight of the work that has been done since 2013: Engine top end, carbs, electrical system and forks rebuilt and engine tuned by Mach 1 Cycles of Costa Mesa. Machine work was by Q&E machine, Santa Ana. Paint on tins by California Cycle Design in Costa Mesa. Chrome by Orange County Plating. The paint is base/clear coat, polished to perfection. The bike has many NOS parts, and a few select repro parts. NOS parts: Tank badges, pistons, rings, pins, fork seals, fork nuts, tach cable, brake cable, speedo cable, brake and clutch levers, footpeg, shift, and kick rubbers, and the stop switch. Repro parts include air cleaner boots, seat cover, blinkers, mirrors, and the rear shocks. Most people will look at the bike and think its like brand new and perfect, but it's not. While most of the chrome has been redone, the pipes and rear fender have not, and they have some light pitting. Those familiar with these vintage bikes will understand that it is 43 years old, and there are minor idiosyncrasies with its operation. Sometimes the engine stalls when shifting from neutral to 1st when it's cold, and sometimes neutral is difficult to select when hot. There is a small oil leak on the left side from either the clutch pushrod, or the shifter seals. The generator light comes on at idle, but goes away as soon as revs reach above idle. Charging system works perfectly. Rims are original and in great shape. The bike comes with the original rider's manual, factory service manual, and parts listing. Also included is a copy of the 1972 Cycle World road test article and original magazine advertisement for the bike. Clean title. You will not be disappointed with this beauty. RD200 This is an original-condition motorcycle with 1133 original miles. Tires replaced in 2014. Well-preserved for years in a garage, this motorcycle was just recently brought back to life by us at Blue Moon Cycle. After replacing the airbox boots and performing an ignition tune up and a carb adjustment, this little RD started right up. You will not find a motorcycle that's easier to start; it simply wants to GO. Take it home, ride it, show it off. These motorcycles are available for both viewing and pickup at our showroom in Norcross, GA. We also ship and crate within the U.S. as well as internationally. This is a very nice little Yamaha CS3 200 "Electric". It is an electric start two stroke which turned into the RD200 in later years. The bike starts right up with the electric, or kick start. It runs, drives, stops and everything works. All lights, signals, horn, and instruments work. Cosmetically it is in real nice shape. The tank is flawless without a nick, dent or scratch anywhere. The inside of the tank is as clean as the day they made it. The seat is perfect. All of the chrome is in nice shape with no dents, scrapes or rust on the fenders or rims. The only real cosmetic issue it has is that the chrome pealed on the lower fork legs and the previous owner covered it with some back tape stripes. It still has its tool kit in place and it has a clear transferable registration in my name. E-mail me with any questions and thanks for looking.

This bike is a very clean survivor. The frame has been power coated and the engine was rebuilt with 3rd over NOS pistons. The Paint on the tank, side covers, light and fork ears are all original and shows some patina. See pictures The chrome is very good on most of it but the left side exhaust has some stains from battery acid, if you want it to be perfect it would need to be replaced or re-chromed. It is in good working order though and can be left as is. See pictures. The forks have some surface rust on them too. See pictures. I ride this bike when it's nice out so expect it to have more than the 4840 miles on it that I entered. Not much more maybe 100. I only use it for short trips around town. I m not the original owner nor do I know who is. I got this bike from a friend awhile back and he did all the work to it. I know his work to be very good. If you're interested please ask me any questions you might think would be critical to you. This sale is as is and all sales are final. It's a very old bike and I am not responsible for what happens to it after it leaves my house. Full payment will need to be made before the bike is picked up. I will not ship but I will meet a shipping company of your choosing if they can do it at my convenience.
