This is my custom Vespa PX200 that I imported from Germany where I have owned it since 1996 and spent endless weekends fiddling around with it. It's not legal in California due to the build year being 1984 and the last Vespa P200e sold in California was 1981so it can't be grandfathered in. I had to register it in Vermont so I could at least get insurance...please make sure you know how your state handles this before buying. Here all the options it has: - Welded handlebars - turn indicators removed from frame and instead on handle bar - custom seat - custom rear light fixture - english muffler: RZ mark one - 211cc Malossi and cylinder head - racing crankshaft - welded Malossi membrane inlet - PHBH 30 carburator This puppy is fast and a blast to ride. It basically sat around in garages for the past 20 years without being used much. I recently rebuilt the engine (new bearings and seals) and maybe drove it 200 miles since then. It's time to let it go because I don't want it to sit around for another 20 years in the garage...

This is a great running scooter, starts up with one or two kicks. Really fun to ride, looks army. I repainted it WWII o.d. green and did some body work (it's not perfect, but looks good), added an old ammo can onto the back rack for storage. Just put over $1000 of work into it: 3 tires, tubes and rims, stand, gear box, front brakes: shoes and cable, clutch and cable, rear shock, fixed wiring: everything works! Need to sell before moving.

The Vespa P-series was the last of the "classic" Vespas to come out of Piaggio's factories. Though many of the brand new scooters reaching American shores have a "Vespa" badge, they are cut from a different cloth entirely. Though certainly not the most elegant styling exercise, the P-series Vespas are probably the sturdiest models, and certainly the most commonly encountered Vespa in the U.S. today. In the mid-1970's the basic Vespa design had been refined almost as far as it was able to go. However, changing consumer tastes, and new technologies, coupled with tightened regulations, meant that Piaggio realized that it was time to totally re-design the Vespa chassis. The result of that total re-design, was the P-series Vespa. The P-series scooters consisted of three models, the P125X, P150X, and P200E when it debuted in 1977. The only difference between the models was in the size of the motors that were installed. The frames on all three were identical. The P series Vespas are the most easily found Vespa in the U.S., and they are without a doubt, the most practical to own. They have the fastest and most refined motors of any of the Vespas. They are also the most comfortable to ride. For all of the above reasons, the P series scooters make a perfect introduction to the classic scooter world. All of them can keep pace with modern traffic, and with their 12 volt electrical system, and functional turn signals, make very sensible commuters. This specimen has only just over 800 original miles on it and starts and runs like it was new. And it comes complete with the original paperwork and manuals!!
