This classic 1973 Suzuki GT185 Adventure is the first year introduction of this bike. It’s powered by a twin cylinder, oil injected, two-stroke engine with twin carbs and dual exhaust. I took great pains to ensure the originality of this motorcycle resulting in a bike that is near 100% OEM, which makes this bike even more desired. The pictures posted cannot adequately display how well this bike presents itself and is possibly one of very few available in this condition in the USA or worldwide. It’s a complete, original vintage OEM bike.SEE IT ON YOUTUBE….. http://youtu.be/xcmKC-_PWxY It’s a fabulous runner and starts immediately when the electric start button is pushed or, if desired, on the first kick with the kick-start lever. This GT185 comes with original rear shocks, new Suzuki original hard to find air filters in the OEM air boxes, new battery, and new plugs. Fork tubes were flushed for complete cleaning and refilled with Belray 7wt fork oil. Forks are in good working order and fork seals do not leak. Fork boots are not cracked and function as new. Points and condenser have been checked, cleaned and the points felt pad has been oiled. Oil pump settings have been set to factory specs and CCI system works, as it should (no premix). The 2-stroke engine smokes appropriately for this year bike, which is to say, very little. Headlight, taillight, turn signals and all idiot lights function perfectly. Brakes were cleaned and work very well with plenty of pad remaining on both front and rear. Swing arm bushings were cleaned, inspected and lubed. Gauges are clean, functional and have clear lenses. Front and rear fenders, taillights are near perfect and chrome shines like new. The left exhaust pipe is like new with no blemishes, rust or acid stains. The right exhaust pipe shows very well with only minor blemish’s that are essentially hidden because of their location. The pipes look more like a 4-year-old bike instead of a 41-year-old bike. Rust pitting, even under the fenders, is virtually non-existent on this bike. If you know this era of motorcycle, you’ll appreciate that bit of information. Includes original toolkit with strap. Oil pump, carbs and cables have been adjusted to factory specifications. Engine tune and exhaust output is spot on. Engine is smooth, powerful and doesn’t rattle or leak oil with only 4,400 actual miles. Gas tank interior is clean and is in very good condition with no leaks. The gas tank is dent free and the tank’s original paint is still in place and is in very shiny condition. There are small wear marks on the right decal, which I’ve tried to capture in the photos. I took numerous pictures of the tank to show its condition. I have clear title, 1 key, and original owners manual for this beautiful 1973 Suzuki GT185 Adventurer. This vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. I’ve tried to represent the motorcycle truly with the pictures posted. If you have a request for special pictures, I’ll assist by modifying what’s posted. This is not the first refurbished vintage motorcycle I’ve sold through eBay and all of my clients were 100% satisfied when they received their vintage Suzuki.
