MZs were noted for their robustness and simplicity and this one is no exception. It combines quality European components (Marzocchi forks, WP shock, Grimeca brakes, Acerbis bodywork) with Japanese engineering (Yamaha engine). The engine is a Yamaha 660cc single cylinder, most commonly found in the Raptor quad. As such, all engine parts are readily available from any Yamaha dealer. Recent maintenance includes the following: New front and rear Pirelli MT90 tiresTwinair dual foam air filterNew rear brake pads (EBC FA173) New batteryOil/filter changeRegistration current Known issues currently: Right-side fairing repaired and needs paintSeat cover requires replacementSpeedometer inoperativeRear brake switch not working If you like to be different, this is an option to the KLR650, XR650, DR650, or XT600 dualsport. In addition to its unique styling, it also has that old-school, low-down thumper power. Note: This is a tall bike so I would not recommend it for someone with a short inseam.

2001 MZ 660 Baghira Street Moto in very good condition. 660 Yamaha engine, WP shock, Marzocchi forks, Grimeca Brakes and 17" wheels. Bike shows 45,176 kilometers (28,171 miles) at this time and has been completely gone over. Restoring bikes is a hobby and this one was a good running bike in need of some maintanence. The following work was completed on the bike less than 1,000 miles ago.-Bike was completely (aside from the transmission) stripped down, cleaned, detailed and all maintence completed.-mechanical decompression system makes it hard to check compression, so I went ahead and honed the cylinder and replaced the rings, top end gasket set, lapped and set the valves. Cylinder looked excellent and I have photos.-bike had a leaky fork seal, so I rebuilt both forks using All Balls fork seal and dust seal kit, 10wt. Bel Ray high performance fork oil-front and rear brake calipers disassemble, inspected and cleaned.-oil and filter change-new JT front and rear sprockets, EK 520SRX2 gold X-ring chain-new Bikemaster TruGel battery-new TwinAir air filter-new 6 Sigma racing stage 2 jet kit-new seat 3x Dzus Zeus fastener kit-new grips and led hand guards -Aprilia mirrors Bike has an M4 slipon, Sargent custom seat and Avon Distanzia tires. Paint has a couple of chips from normal wear and the side panels have some places which look to be rubbed from saddle bags. Nice bike, title in hand and ready to ride.
