Price reduced! Fully restored few years ago. Only changes from stock are K&N air filter instead of rubber tube going behind carb, anti-sump valve spliced into oil line, forged piston from AJSMOCNA member, PCV valve attached by hose to rocker cover (another club member's part, reduces back pressure, adds couple hp), 2 modern fuel taps. Has 6 v capacitor type battery and fuse. Muffler very rare and expensive. Reliable, went on 1000 miles tour few years ago. Fun to ride. Top speed 85 mph, can cruise at 72 w/o any bad vibes. Brakes work well. (Norton forks and wheels and oil pump were stock in these last years.) Much $ spent (receipts available). Mileage shown is "since rebuild" and the odometer failed about 200 miles ago. Also paint around tank filler is bad, otherwise price would be higher. Only selling because I have an identical one ($6500, Concentric carb, non stock muffler, extra chrome, some orig. paint) and don't need two. WILL ASSIST WITH SHIPPING to UK from Buffalo USA.

1960 Matchless Other , 1960 Matchless G80TCS Typhoon It has recently been restored to near original condition. It was ridden quite a bit for about 10 years in the 60s on the street, and raced a little on scrambles track locally. It has a clean original title included in the sale as well as the factory owners manuals. The speedometer is not original, but is period correct. Tachometer was a factory accessory. It only has maybe 5 miles on it since the restoration was completed (3 years ago). Never wrecked. Has had a recent service. Runs great! This is a very rare motorcycle. From my understanding it is one of 125 ever made. $5,450.00

1967 Matchless 500 , 1967 Matchless G85CS Scrambler One of less than 100. Beautiful and correctly restored in 1998 by Robert Allen. The bike was last started in June 2001, ridden around my yard and parked in my family room or office since. I have kicked it over enough to circulate oil a few times a year. Includes a folder containing history, restoration documentation and an original G85CS - G80CS - P11 Maintenance and Instruction MANUAL in near perfect condition. This is a great piece for the Triumph or BSA Collector. Serious offers by serious buyers will be considered. I am selling only because the office spot has been taken by another bike. The Matchless G85CS was a fine, handcrafted off road only scrambles racer built to a higher standard than any previously sold to the general public through dealerships. It had less standard Matchless components on it than anything this side of a G50 road racer! As trim as they were (around 300 lb) these bikes were not overwhelmed with brute horsepower and did weigh a good deal more than the rapidly improving two strokes they ran against. The G85 is the direct predecessor to the P-11 Norton which has basically the same frame. It is commonly reported that the P-11 was born as a result of the west coast distributor installing a 750 Norton twin in a G-85 frame and sending it back to the factory with the instruction "Build This". The frame was bronze brazed Reynold 531 (Brit for Chrome Moly) in a design clearly derived from the Rickman brothers Matisse. The front forks appear standard, the front hub has the cooling fins removed giving it a unique appearance and saving a few ounces of weight. The rear hub and brake plate are "Elektron" magnesium alloy items of G-50 road racer derivation. Foot peg hangers, rear brake lever and other parts are fabricated from tubing rather than cast. The bike came with a fiberglass fuel tank and side covers. The aluminum oil tank was a very complex shape welded up from sheet. This was reportedly done with oxy-acetylene as TIG was not yet common practice. Perhaps the least practical feature was the 1-3/8 AMAL GP carburetor, which has tight inner clearances that do not do well with grit and dust. The ignition is by Lucas Magneto and these generally gave adequate service. Yes they did come with that ridiculous stubby front fender. How many survive today?? 303-499-5186 $21,000.00 3034995186

1965 Matchless 500 cc G80CS R Police special. One of Twenty built to special order for the Rhodesian High Commission for their Police Force. This bike was one of the last bikes produced by AJS/ Matchless in England. It is a complete ground up restoration by International Classic Motorcycles, experts in this type of restoration work. It has matching numbers and is 99% original parts. The order called for an easy starting bike, versatile for road and outback riding. Based on the G80CS frame and Matchless 500cc engine it provided a easily handling motorcycle. After years of service it was sold in South Africa, then purchased by a person who moved to Canada bringing the bike with him. HIS WORK IS IMPECCABLE. THIS BIKE IS BEAUTIFUL AND "AS NEW" IN ITS FINISH. ALL OF THE CORRECT PARTS. A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ROLLING MOTORCYCLE ART. I HAVE HAD IT DISPLAYED IN MY OFFICE FOR 5 YEARS. I EVEN HAVE THE ORIGINAL, SIGNED 1961 TITLE FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. THERE IS NOT ANOTHER G80TCS COMPETITION MODEL OF THIS QUALITY FOR SALE ANYWHERE IN THE US...BUT RIGHT HERE. THIS ONE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT EXCEPT FOR A 3/4 INCH PAINT SCRAPE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FUEL TANK THAT WAS CAUSED BY A TIE-DOWN COMING BACK FROM A SHOW THIS SUMMER. SPEAKING OF SHOWS...THIS BIKE HAS WON FIRST PLACE IN ALL OF THE 4 SHOWS IT WAS ENTERED. THE BLEMISH ON THE TANK IS A "PAINT-DEEP" SCRAPE. THERE IS NOT DENT OR INDENTATION INTO THE METAL OF THE TANK. PAINT REPAIR IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED. I HAVE TO LOCATE THE TITLE IN ORDER TO ENTER THE CORRECT VIN# INTO THIS LISTING. I USED THE ENGINE STAMPING FOR THE VIN...BUT THE TITLE HAS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT 7 DIGIT NUMBER. I WILL ADD IT AS SOON AS I LOCATE THE TITLE. I HAVE LISTED IT FOR SALE ON A 3 DAY LISTING. I AM ATTENDING THE MECUM AUCTION NEXT WEEK IN LAS VEGAS, AND I AM WILLING TO DELIVER IT TO VEGAS FOR FREE IF THE BUYER DESIRES SO. 1951 Matchless Motorcycle G80S 500cc new wiring, headlight, tires, solo seat and pad, much more. Great bike just needs a little work. Runs but a little hard to start and not shifting great. I have too many projects and hate to see this go. Older paint still looks good. Great rare bike with the more sought after swing arm! These Matchless are all over the iconic motorcycle movie The Wild One.

Here is a great start for anyone wanting to build a replica of the bike featured on the cover of this month's The Classic Motorcycle Magazine. According to them only a handful still exist in the original format of the 25 or so made. The blue parts in the photos are genuine original items removed when one of these bikes was brand new and turned into an all out racer which was I suppose the whole point of the exercise. That said a few lucky individuals have the real deal but I doubt $100,000 would pry any of them loose so here is the best way to go about it and at the same time end up with a better engine and more reliable electrics. Of course if you should be lucky enough to have an original G50 or AJS 7r engine you can go that route! Minnovation racing in the UK is a source for an engine with many modern internal improvements but retaining the great external patina. . The choice is yours. Petrol/ gas tanks are available from time to time right here on Ebay as are G80 CS mudguards / fenders etc.   If you are curious I purchased the rolling chassis here in Canada a few years ago. It was imported from Venezuela  by a Quebec chap and I am told quite rare on it's own. It had an AJS 500 pushrod motor  when I got it now long gone. Shoot your questions to me I am [email protected]  or 613-273-5036    I can ship this anywhere in the world. Payment by bank transfer.    CANADIANS SUBJECT TO SALES TAX.  Thanks for looking
