The bike is a 1996 kawasaki ninja 500. This is a great bike, very reliable, the last ninja 500 my buddy has over 80k miles on it , I'll show you! This one has even less than 4000 miles. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them, still very new! The oil had been changed every 1,000 miles. I'm just very particular about it. It has new coolant (kawasaki oem spec) , new brake fluid front and back. The carbs are synced, runs and idles perfectly. The bike has no mechanical problems with it at all and is ready to ride as it. It does have scratches on from being down on both sides, it's not major but it is there. Bike runs straight and smooth, test rides are certainly welcome with cash in hand. Obviously chain and sprocket show no wear, there is no rust on the chain whatsoever and it's been always in spec and lubed every 500 miles. This bike has never seen rain but it has certainly seen water since I've washed it quiet a couple of times. It's a great commuter bike since it has plenty of power for the highway, and is still very fun on the back roads getting about 45mpg. This would be a great commuter bike or even a first bike as long as you're mature enough for it, it's suited better to medium to taller riders as it is a higher sitting bike, unfortunately my 5'5" girlfriend can't ride it or touch the ground. 2007 Kawasaki EX Ninja 500 with a little more than 14k miles on the clock. Bike is a very solid runner, starts immediately on the first try every time and has a nice dual aftermarket exhaust which gives it a nice throaty roar. Bike has some cosmetic issues, small crack in the upper fairing which does not rattle, and I do have the lower cowling (not shown in the photo) but included which has a couple scuffs.It needs a new front right turn indicator, which is about $25 here on eBay, but the current one is still there and taped up. The bike also needs a new gas cap, and I'd consider changing the chain in the future. AS IS, the bike is ready to ride away today. I just want you to be aware that this bike has a couple MINOR issues that would cost no more than $250 to fix. I'm moving in three weeks and don't want to take the bike cross country AGAIN, so I've set the price BELOW KBB trade in to account for the small repairs the bike needs. This bike is excellent day to day transportation, and if you are in the Salt Lake City area, I welcome you to contact me to come see it. A friend of mine got transferred overseas, and left me his 2005 Ninja 500 to sell. It used to be my bike, so I know all about it. 28700 miles. Has plenty of extras -- I added a Givi back rack and hard case, CRG bar end mirrors to help with lane splitting, a smoked black windscreen, and a genuine Kawasaki center stand for ease of maintenance/parking storage. Some scratches from normal wear and tear, but no accidents, and t's in great mechanical shape -- just got the carburetor cleaned/overhauled. Clean title; registration just renewed -- good through March 2016. Between the rack/top case, the gas mileage, and the easy maintenance, it makes a great first motorcycle or commuter bike.
