1984 Honda Magna V30 VF500C 4,921 Miles, 500 cc, Red Clear title in hand Needs carburetor rebuild Mechanic confirmed functionality of engine, brakes, etc This is a 1984 Honda Magna V30 motorcycle, model VF500C, with a 500 cc engine (technically 498 cc). My father bought this bike in 1991 with 4,408 miles on it. In seven years, he put barely 500 miles on it. He died in 1998 and I've had the bike in my garage ever since. I have the clean title in hand. My motorcycle mechanic neighbor evaluated the bike earlier this year. With a new battery, he confirmed that the engine turns over, gas pump works, brakes work, and other systems work fine. However, the carburetor has become gummed up and must be rebuilt. In the right hands, this bike could get repaired and finally get back on the road. The bike body is in very good condition. It has always been garaged during the 23 years it has been in my family. There is some light tarnish on some chrome and metal. There is one small dent on the gas tank. Otherwise, the bike is free from scratches, dents, and other damage. Local pickup and in-person evaluation at my home in north west New Jersey can be arranged. I'm an hour west of New York City and an hour north of Philadelphia. Up for sale is a 1985 Honda V30 Magna (VF500C) in very good shape for its age.It has 20,300 miles and climbing. I ride this to work everyday the weather cooperates.It is black in color.It has a small dent on the right side of the fuel tank about the size of a golf ball. (See picture)It is missing a reflector on the license plate bracket. Very easy fix. (See picture)It has a small platform over rear tire that an be used to carry things. It is very handy, plus it has running lights around it to make you more visible. It can be removed easily if you don't like the look of it.The paint is in very good shape.The seat is in great shape.The tires and brakes are in great shape.I have owned the bike for the last 5 years and it's been well maintained. The bike starts everytime and runs awesome.There is no mechanical issues whatsoever.Now the only negative for the bike is that it has a REBUILT SALVAGE title, and that's only a negative depending on the person.Let me explain the salvage title. The previous owner was sitting at a red light. The guy behind him at the light saw out of the corner of his eye the traffic in the left turn lane start to move and he instinctively started to take off. He did not stop in time and hit the bike in the rear end and the bike laid over right there. The insurance company considered the bike totaled because of the cost of the repairs compared to the value of the bike. The owner decided to buy the bike back from the insurance company and have it fixed himself. It needed a new rim, tire, chain, and some brake work. The reason I know this to be a true story is because my brother was this guys insurance agent and very good friend. I would have been very skeptical myself buying a bike with a rebuilt salvage title without know the real story. Long story short, I ended up buying it from him and have rode it for 5 years without a single issue. As a matter of fact, the only reason I am looking to sell it is that I'm looking to buy a Honda Aspencade. 1985 Honda Magna V30 I am selling a 1985 Honda Magna V30! Its a 499cc Motorcycle. The bike is in great shape. Starts up with no issues and rides with no issues. The tires have about 80% tread left on them. Battery is brand new. Also have some new turn signals that come with the bike. Horn works but the button is missing but the horn can still be used. All lights work on the bike with the exception of the neutral indicator light. It also on has 14,220 miles on it. Everything on this bike works great. This bike will get you where you want to go with no issues. There are a few dents and scratches on the tank and some bolts on the bike are a little rusty. The bike was last registered August 18 2014 so there are no fees for registering this bike. I have the receipt to show that all the non op fees have been paid for.
