This Honda CL72 250 Scrambler was meticulously restored by its prior owner. It was my intention to license/title and ride it, but it is so nice that it should go to a private collector or a museum. The motorcycle has never been ridden since its restoration. It was started once on the previous owner on its center stand. He indicated the motor ran fine and that the transmission shifted fine and the motor ran good. I too recently started it on its center stand and the motor ran fine without any unusual noises, misfiring, or stalling. The Honda has many NOS parts including brake pads, spokes, spokes, tank pads, muffler guards, alternator cover, speedometer and other miscellaneous parts. All chrome parts have been professionally resurfaced and are in excellent condition. The front and rear fenders are also NOS and have been powder coated. The fuel tank and side covers have been powder coated also. The tank has a few dings in it that were not noticed prior to its restoration. The original gas cap also has a ding in it. This exquisite Honda was built from the ground-up. The frame and all other black parts were powder coated. The rims and tires (Cheg Shin) are in like new excellent condition. The motor was totally rebuilt by a well-known vintage Honda Mechanic. The Honda looks new with the exception of the dings on the fuel tank and cap as noted. The Honda needs some final sorting out to ride if you wish. The wiring is intact, but needs to be connected properly for headlight, tail and brake lamps to work properly. Also, the original horn (included) needs to be installed. The Honda will be sold with a Bill of Sale. The prior owner gave me a Title (shows a prior owner and a transferred owner) that was originally issued by the State of Illinois. The Frame number is CL72-1104932 which matches the number on the Title and the Engine number is CL-721105011. I will include the Title with the Bill of Sale and make a copy of it available to any interested bidder prior to the close of the Ebay auction. I have not licensed/titled the motorcycle in my name and I cannot guarantee that you will be able to title it. It is sold as is, where is, without any guarantees of operational status or title. You are welcome to inspect it prior to sale. Shipping (if necessary) is the responsibility of the Buyer. A $250 non-refundable deposit is required at the close of the auction. The balance is due within 3 days in the form of cash, cashier's check or wire transfer. The Honda will not be released until my Bank confirms final payment. No expense was spared to restore this beautiful motorcycle. It needs to find a rightful and good home where it can be preserved and enjoyed for now and posterity. More money has spent on the restoration than the Buy it Now price for this beautiful machine. Please contact me via Ebay if you have any questions. I can provide you with my phone numbers if you wish to discuss the Honda.

This classic is a barn-finders dream come true. My Aunt and Uncle bought two new CL-175 Honda's in 1972. She realized after riding this bike that summer that motorcycling wasn't her thing and asked my Uncle to store it. Being a farmer he rolled it into the barn and put it up on blocks, drained the tank and ran the carbs dry, drained the oil, put a baggie over the pipe, let the air out of the tires, and drained the battery. He then put a blanket over it and wrapped it tightly with 3 tarps. He rode his bike on occasion but eventually stored his as well. Fast forward to 1995 and my Uncle had passed away. My Aunt called my Dad and asked if he would please come get the bikes out of her way. He did... and in less than a year my Mom told him to call me and get them out of her garage. My nephew took one and I took the other. Long story short, I replaced the fluids, pumped up the tires, put battery fluid in, changed out the fuel lines that had become brittle with age, and she fired right up. I've taken care of it properly, always garaging and keeping it moving by starting it a few times a year and riding it around the block about once a year. The bike currently has 512 miles and everything is original except the battery (3 years ago) . The tires still have the nubs and show no weather cracks. It runs and rides like new. I know, because I remember riding it when it was new. It still carries the one and only license plate and registration. I have a clean title in hand. It a shame to part with it but my wife said it's time to get it out of the way. I can email additional pictures or a video of the bike running and riding. This bike should go to someone who can appreciate the history of the early Honda's and reminisce of when they had one just like it. You'll love this gem. Your wife,,,, maybe not so much. The bike and original paperwork is yours for $3500 (you pay shipping). The story is free.

2016 Honda CRF 250R, 2016 Honda® CRF® 250R Podium Ready. It s the little things that make the difference between that sweet taste of champagne and finishing somewhere in the back of the pack. Because, face it, every racer wants to win, and most motocross bikes these days are pretty darn good. That s why you have to bring your best to every moto. And that s why Honda® is bringing some updates to what was already the best bike in the class, our CRF® 250R. This year's fine-tuning gives the CRF® 250R what it needs to keep you in front. New, larger radiators handle the output from a more powerful engine, which includes more cam lift and new titanium exhaust valves. Larger-diameter muffler pipes and a new resonator also help increase power. In terms of suspension, the Showa® Air Fork is five millimeters longer, and now features a Schrader valve to make adjusting the balance chamber easier. There s even a new chain-roller diameter our engineers haven t missed a thing. And it s all with one goal in mind: Giving you the best 250 MX bike there s ever been. Mission accomplished! Features May Include: 249cc Unicam Engine With its high-compression head, increased cam lift for 2016, new piston, new con rod, new valve springs and titanium exhaust valves, the CRF® 250R s engine produces more power this year. It s easily the most rideable engine in the class. PGM-FI Settings The settings on the CRF® 250R s Programmed Fuel Injection are dialed in to help deliver smooth, predictable engine performance. But you can try your hand at tuning, too, with our available HRC® Fuel Injection Setting Tool. It s easily adjustable to specific track conditions, and you can refine your own settings in place of the smooth and aggressive settings on the engine mode selector. Short Twin-Muffler Exhaust System Like our CRF® 450R, the CRF® 250R uses an exclusive twin-muffler setup. The mufflers are way shorter and lower, tucking in much closer to the bike s center of mass. That helps make the CRF® 250R a better handling machine, and also contributes to the bike s improved power. For 2016, the mufflers outlet pipes are bigger, too. Engine Mode Select Button A simple handlebar-mounted mode-select button lets you dial in engine power delivery character with a push of your thumb. Choose between Standard, Smooth and Aggressive, depending on track conditions. If you want to change up the settings, you can reprogram the Smooth and Aggressive modes with our optional HRC® Tuning Tool for a custom-tailored power delivery. Honda® Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) The HPSD is designed to work in conjunction with the front and rear suspension to give you unmatched steering precision under braking, acceleration, and in the whoops, ruts, and hardpack. There's nothing like it! Large Front Brake Rotor A full 260mm in diameter

Ready for restoration, or leave it original. Contact our sales department for more information HEREOVERVIEW:The name 'wide case' has only become popular to distinguish this type from the previous 'narrow case' models. The largest difference between the two being that the latter type had narrower frame mountings on the crankcases to fit in an earlier frame design. As is often the case with new Ducati designs, the new 'wide case' single was born on the race track.EngineAll Ducati 'wide case' single engines have a vertically split aluminium crankcase, a forward inclined (10 degrees) cylinder and a single overhead camshaft driven by a set of straight cut bevel gears from the crankshaft. The five speed gearbox is integrated in the crankcase.FrameAll wide case singles have a single-down tube tubular steel frame, utilised as a stressed member. The engine is mounted using two plates at the front and directly at the rear. Most models have a 35mm telescopic Marzocchi front fork apart from most Mark 3 models (until 1973) which had 31.5mm Ducati forks. Rear suspension usually consists of twin Marzocchi three-way adjustable shocks.
