1983 Suzuki Tempter GR650, Classic, very rare bike! - The Suzuki GR650, badged "Tempter" in the states, is a nicely balanced 650cc Vertical Twin, which at the time was Suzuki's answer to the British vertical twin cycles made by Triumph, Norton, BSA, etc. The big difference was the GR650 had been cleverly updated with better technology and reliability, including a unique floater single shock suspension. Although It was produced from 1983 through 1989, it was only imported into the US for two years -1983 and 1984 - due to poor sales, mainly because the market for this type of bike had dried up, along with the severe recession that plagued the country at the time. That makes it a rare bike you just don't see much on the roads. These bikes continued to be imported to Canada and other countries until the end of the production run in 1989. It is very popular in Europe, especially in the Netherlands. They seem to run for many miles if maintained. The regular models included upgraded air forks, an auxiliary running front light, two tone paint and mag wheels. 1983 Suzuki Gr 650 D TEMPTER, I have an '83 GR650 for sale. I do not have the space to store it, the money to keep it, or the time for it. It has an electrical problem that I have not figured out(hence the time issues). It ran great a few years ago. The ride is smooth and it handles well, with enough power to satisfy a medium skilled rider. Very comfortable ride. It still turns over freely, just doesn't have strong spark on one cylinder. It is at a house I recently moved out of and I do not have room to store it where I am currently living so I need it to go ASAP. Asking $750 OBO. NADA suggested around $1200, Bike is in good condition outside of the electrical issue. $750.00

This bike is a 1983 Suzuki GR650XD This bike runs like a swiss watch and gets down the road like it's nobody's business. There have been some upgrades and changes to the bike from it's original stock appearance and it has been transformed into a bit of a Street tracker or Scrambler style of bike. The engine has been gone through and everything brought up to spec The Mikuni BS36 carbs were cleaned using an ultra sonic washer and re-jetted for the increased air flow & exhaust flow. The bike sounds great but not overly so. When you really hit it it barks like a rabid mongrel (gotta love that) The tank has an ultra high gloss powder coated finish and the frame has fresh paint.
