Up for grabs is my 1972 Ducati 250 scrambler. This bike starts and runs easy and only has 2802miles on the speedo (100 of which i have put on it). It was, and is currently being used for its intended purpose of scrambling down dirt roads and around town. The bike has its original paint and chrome, which do show some age but i personally feel a bike that is over 40 years should look like it. The tank has a little touch up around where the pinstripe is and there are some spots on the chrome, but it is dent free and looks great on the inside. the side covers look good and are dent free as well. the rear fender was trimmed back in the day and a mudflap was added (i replaced the mudflap with new rubber), and the front fender is an excellent condition preston petty attached to a ducati rt450 high fender mount (pretty cool looking). The original key is there and the charging system works well (has a new battery), the lights are bright for a 6v system and the handle switches where removed back in the day when it was mainly a trail rig. It has the factory sholdered aluminum Aktron rims and fresh shinko trials tires on it (real beefy looking). the gauges work as they should, and the glass is in good shape, the red paint on the dials is flaking though. I cancelled the auction as had incorrect year on it. The title reads 1965 but it is a 1968. Title was in error and I am getting new one which will take a few weeks to come in. Some bidders are not seeing all the photos. I use my own photo service so they are larger and shown below. Please scroll all the way down. I am very careful about my descriptions having gone on many wild goose chases to see bikes and cars that turned out to be in far less condition than advertised. I am sure many of you have been in the same boat so I will do my utmost to describe this so that there are NO disappointments or surprises. As found, 1968 Ducati 250c Widecase Scrambler in mostly original condition. Engine turns over with good compression. Mostly unmolested but has incorrect carb. I purchased this a few years ago but have too many projects so these are going. Frame is straight and shows no indication of ever being in an accident. Most everything there and selling as shown. It is missing tool boxes. The tank has pin holes and leaks but has no dings or dents and is original paint although poor paint. One lower cylinder fin on left side has slight bend in it. I have restored lots of bikes and this ones engine shows no signs of having any problems and with the price of early Ducati singles going stratospheric, this one is a prime example for restoration without breaking the bank. I have a clear New Hampshire title. Please feel free to contact me thru eBay with any questions you may have. I will also answer any questions by phone if you wish. For sale is a rare 1969 Ducati d350 Desmo single cylinder 350 barn find with a clean title. This bike has been sitting for many years and the engine has stuck from sitting and will not turn over with kick starter. The frame,motor, and rear end, headlight/speedo are original but most of the bike has been changed into a chopper look many years ago, bike has rust and pitting, exhaust has some holes, but the original frame is NOT Cut or modified, engine is all original, the front end is off of a Kawasaki I believe, and the tank is off an old sportster, other than thoe parts replaced there is a nice base frame, motor and other original parts for a cool old ducati Desmo project. For auction here is a very nice, very rare rebuilt vintage Ducati 350 Desmo top end. Great for you vintage Ducati restoration guys. This is one of the nicest pieces I acquired from a retiring Ducati single collector earlier this year.I'm not a Ducati expert just a passionate vintage motorcycle enthusiast so please look over the pictures to ensure my description lines up with what you see!The head looks fully reconditioned with a valve job based on the seats and perhaps new valves. See the pictures. The liner looks like it has a new sleeve or at least a fresh bore. The cylinder could be NOS but assume it is used. The NOS GPM piston includes new rings, pin & clips. Part number may be 061047400 (says that o the box - see the picture).Bevel gears and tower look very nice. I don't see any amount of corrosion anywhere. See pics. Not sure which model Ducati this was from or which year exactly. I just guessed for this listing.Also not sure what the value is given there were no recent sales of a similar condition head. The only other head I saw on the completed listings was in need of a full rebuild.I'll start out at this price but will include a best offer.
