This beautiful Honda came to me as part of a multiple bike purchase. It has spent the last 20+ years in a dry garage not running. When I brought it home, I cleaned the carbs, put a battery in, changed the oil, and it fired right up and ran well. I did however install an NOS Honda muffler, and welded a patch to the bottom of the header where a hole had formed. The patch sealed the header and is not noticeable unless the bike is up on a lift. Along with the muffler, an NOS muffler gasket and clamp were installed. I also had to replace the fork seals and completely cleaned/serviced the forks while it was apart. When I bought the bike there was a good sized dent on top of the gas tank. I drained the tank and sent it off to a paintless dent removal shop for repair. I would say the dent repair was about 90% successful. There is now a slight ding on top of the tank. I tried to take a picture of it but it does not show up in photos, but it is there. There is also two very small dings on the left side of the tank, but they are hardly visible except at certain angles. The original paint shines nicely and the bike looks great. The right side cover is also a little beat up, but being original and having good paint, it seemed best to leave it be. The bikes rides like new. The suspension is tight and there are no rattles or any funny noises. It runs awesome as it should with 8200 original miles. The front rotor may be slightly warped, but the brake works fine. I did flush the entire front brake system and put new pads on it. The front rotor may have to be addressed at some point, but is not much of an issue at this point. This is a true honest survivor and with a little more clean up and tinkering will be a very nice bike. It is nice now, but as with anything, could be even better. The title is clear and in my name. It is currently registered but I am not riding it other than the odd short ride here and there. I would love to keep it but I own 6 motorcycles right now and just can't keep them all. If you're looking for a nice vintage Honda for your collection or just to ride, then this is it. There are not many left that are this unmolested. It is one of the nicest I have seen in a while. One thing I found kind of cool is the factory paint marks that are still on the rotor bolts, rear hub, and chain master link. It is truly an untouched original. Please see pictures for more details. 1975 Honda CB400F super sport cafe racer, perfect running, reliable daily rider, Emgo viper fairing is easily removed for the period correct look. Custom seat is excellent for getting down low on the gas tank without sliding off the back, it's an aftermarket foam and cover on the original factory seat pan, so it's a snap if you want to go back to stock. Yoshimura four into one exhaust, brand-new battery, SunPro voltage meter and custom installed crank case oil pressure gauge. Original handlebars have been replaced with VFR interceptor clip ons and controls. Factory paint, not a respray. Gas tank is perfectly clean inside. Factory turn signals. Garage kept its entire life, nothing is cracked or faded, and the gauges look like new. Tires and tubes are new, everything works as it should. Ride it as it is, or take it back to 100% stock. No trades, Electric start and kick start. 6 speed transmission. This is a true cold motorcycle, very desirable in the collector market. The first motorcycle to coin the term café racer. Only produced in 1975 1976 in 1977. On a true vintage piece of history for less than the price of a Chinese scooter.

1975 Honda CB400F. This is an early production bike, #4366 off the assembly line. Valves recently adjusted, Carbs cleaned, fresh oil & filter. KONI shocks & Proggressive fork springs, Metzler tires are in good shape for many more miles. DYNA coils and eltronic ignition, no points. Bar end mirrors and seat cover are after market items. The seat has a small, 1/2", tear, a minor shop incident that did not involve any other parts. The seat foam is new and a big improvement over stock. The muffler is also an after market slip on, the header is original. The stock air box is in place, but I've installed a washable oiled foam air filter. The front brake rotor has been drilled. I've put most of the 33+ thousand miles on the bike, and done all regular maintenance. It starts easily with one kick and settles into a nice, even idle. Sounds very inoccent at idle but has an intoxicating howl from 6,000 rpms up. As addicting as this bike is, I've decided to let it go to some one (probably younger than I) to enjoy for the next 33km. Please note, this is not a showroom left over. Far from it. It is a very well loved, polished, patinaed, slightly modified, classic bike that handles like the hand of god. Tellepathic even. Bike runs great, starts up nice and easy, idles great. Bike looks/sounds/runs great. New tires, chain, Anti Gravity brand (expensive) battery, carbs cleaned and synched, this ride is ready to go. No tears in seat. Some parts are not original: down tubes have progressive spring (better front end) and down-tubes of a CM400 (Honda), but lower arm is stock, the rear fender is from a CM400, the tail light is a nice polished aluminum piece from Dime City Cycles, grips are new. Exhaust collector was welded on the underside where it can't be seen with thick plate steel and a TIG, nicely done. This bike gets a lot of attention, everyone loves it. Missing a side cover and rear blinkers, starter button is removed, so it's kick only, and there are no mirrors.

Beautiful 1975 (Mfg 12/74) Honda CB400F Super Sport, Four cylinder 400cc motorcycle has 10,656 miles and runs like a dream. No aftermarket items on it except the sport mirror and the rare chrome speedometer and tachometer covers. New battery. New tires. New chain and sprocket. Ready to go. Seat is new old stock original (not aftermarket). Sensual 4 into 1 exhaust is in beautiful condition with muffler looking almost new. Starts hot or cold with one kick or just as easily with the electric starter. Chrome is in excellent condition (not show quality but super nice). Stock right down to the air box. 1976 Honda CB400F Super Sport in the rarest color, parakeet yellow. Odometer shows 22787 miles, this may go up slightly as I ride the bike a bit. This is an original condition bike, with the exception of the muffler and the lower handlebars. It starts, runs, and rides but needs some TLC. Original paint on the tank is very presentable. Gas tank has a few small dents, but is clean inside. The bike shows typical wear and tear for a 38 year old bike. This is my Vintage 1989 Honda CB-1, also known as the NC27 and CB400F. These collectable bikes were only sold in the US for two years, 1989-1990. They were powered by the Japanese market CBR400RR engine- a liquid cooled, DOHC, 4-cylinder that revs to 13,500 rpm. It's also a 6 speed! This naked-sport rips putting down about 45 rear-wheel horsepower and is much faster than a Ninja 300, CBR300RR, and a YZF-R3. Take on 600cc super sports at stoplights- you'll love it! The ergos are similar to a cafe racer right out of the box as well.
