I've owned the beautiful little Beeza for several years now and have thoroughly enjoyed owning and riding it but I've got too many machines and need to thin the herd. This is by far the best-running BSA 250 I've ever ridden. With just over 1,400 miles, it runs like new. It starts easily, runs great, it shifts smoothly and precisely, pulls hard through all the gears and I've run it at 70 mph on club rides, keeping up with the big singles and twins, much to their surprise! It's actually as fast as my 441 Victor, and is smoother, easier to start and handles better. The brakes work beautifully, that twin-leading shoe front brake hauling the bike down from speed like a disc! It's a beautiful machine, although not a show bike. There are some nicks, flaws, etc. A couple tiny small cuts in the original seat were filled and are almost invisible. The Dunlop K-70-style tires have very good tread on them but have cracking on the sidewalls. The color scheme and decals really show off the bike's great lines, and I've fitted a Dunstall Decibel Silencer muffler in place of the stock item, which allows the quarter-litre single to breath better, rev higher and run stronger than stock. It also gives it an authoritative "big thumper" sound. If you prefer the stock muffler, I'll switch it back for you. I've ridden it on the All-British Ride out of Hansen Dam here is SoCal a few times and it keeps up with the big bikes and I can slip under them in the corners as it is so nimble and easy handling. This is an ideal classic bike for the beginner to the hobby, for a woman or a shorter rider. Its 18-inch wheels keep the saddle height low enough to place both your feet on the ground at stop lights. Also, the previous owner had fitted turn signals, which actually work! It does add an extra element of safety in traffic and I find myself using them. The photos show the stock Western bars but I replaced them with lower European bars (see last pics from British Run where I'd just completed 110-mile loop through the Angeles Crest Highway). If you prefer the higher bars, I can swap them back for you too. Hard to find a really good 250 BSA out there, and these are getting a lot of attention lately as the 441 singles are up around the $10k mark now for the really good ones. And with just over 1400 miles on the working odometer, it's fresh, strong and reliable. I have the clear title, in my name. Enjoy the pics, ask any questions! ~ Dave

1971 BSA Thunderbolt condition: good fuel: gas paint color: black title status: clean transmission: manual This bike needs nothing. 1971 BSA 650 Thunderbolt. Everything works. Runs and rides great. Bike was sitting for years and has been completely rebuilt to use as a daily runner/ vintage rides and bike nights. 4300miles on tach believed to be correct. Pazon ignition, no points and condensers. It's reliable. New battery, newer tyres. It's fast and fun to ride. Sounds so cool. It's a nearly 50 year old English bike and does everything an early English bike does. WOW! This thing is gorgeous! Restored to former glory and truly a time capsule and wonderful piece of history. This bike was modeled after the infamous "Victor" motocross bike to win the 500cc world championship for two successive years in the mid 60s. BSA made this bike available to the public in street legal form shorty there after in 1966 bringing it into the hands of thousands of adoring young motocross fans in both Europe and America. Man is this a FUN bike to ride! It has some serious get up and go for a bike nearly 50 years of age. However, it is not for the faint of heart. It requires a strong kick and preparations such as holding the compression release while giving a few solid pumps to the starter with your foot as well and priming the carb when starting it up cold. Once warm however, it does become easier to kick. This bike is extremely mechanically and cosmetically sound. I would say it is in overall excellent condition. I would also confidently add that with a bit of polish, and finishing touches, it would definitely be considered museum quality. As is with all Pre-1975 Brittish motorcycles, the foot shift is on the right and rear brake on the left. Hand Controls and other basic functions remain the same. Pretty amazing to think that this was someones dualsport bike almost 50 years ago! Being spoiled with the super light weight, mostly plastic, partially aluminum framed, heavy suspensioned' dualsport bikes of today, it gives you SO MUCH respect for the hardworking fellas that braved these things around in the woods as a way to unwind... from their manual labored jobs with no safety regulations and $1.12 minimum wages. A beautiful reminder of simpler times, hard working folks, and good old fashioned fun!Stop by GarageTRS anytime to check out this bike among other Vintage bikes as well as Harleys, sportbikes, dualsports, and more. Offered for sale is a BSA A65 Hornet. Ran and gone thru the gears before being stored since the late 1980's. Some parts were rechromed after the bike ran. Bought bike as a basket case. There were missing parts so I installed a number of NOS parts like the tach, levers, crank bearings, kill switch, brake shoes, boot bands. Other parts needed were new wheel bearings front and rear, fork seals, fork boots. Bike frame and other parts were powdercoated. The Hornet is sold as is; without warranty; and without the bike being represented as new off the showroom floor. Clean title. Buyer must supply their own transportation, pay in cash, or certified check and wait for it to clear before bike is released.. $13,000.00
