I'm moving and won't be able to take it with me. I bought it brand new in 2010 and have been the only owner. It's been primarily used as a commuter bike, getting 40+ mpg. The Hyosung GT250R is 249 cc (15.2 cu in) motorcycle manufactured by Hyosung Motors & Machinery Inc. It entered the market in 2005, offering a 250 cc class sport bike with a frame similar in size to Hyosung's larger GT650 sport bike. The GT250R comes stock with a 249 cc V-twin engine. The Hyosung V-twin engine was designed in Hamamatsu Japan by a design team consisting of engineers who have previously worked in the research and development teams of Suzuki. Technical features include roller bearing camshafts, two-piece spring dampened bevel silent primary drive gears, dual squish combustion chambers. It utilizes a DOHC eight-valve engine configuration. Twin downdraft Mikuni carburetors were standard until 2008, when fuel injection became available. In Brazil, the Hyosung GT250R is sold by Kasinski, named Comet GT250R. These are features that were previously confined to racing engines, and in the past have been uneconomical to incorporate into smaller-capacity engines for street use. The GT250R's recorded fuel consumption is 3.4 L/100 km (83 mpg-imp; 69 mpg-US) in comparison to 4.59 L/100 km (61.5 mpg-imp; 51.2 mpg-US) recorded on the Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
