This motorcycle is a 1996 Kawasaki Ninja 500R Vin: Jkaexvd13ta026683, it currently only has 3,911 miles on it. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them, still very new, F006 RR 120-70ZR17 Podium on the front and F006 RR 140/60RZ17 Podium tubeless tires on the back! The oil had been changed every 1,000 miles. I'm just very particular about it. It has new coolant (Kawasaki oem spec) , new brake fluid front and back, has new plugs and a new maintenance free battery. The carbs are synced, runs and idles perfectly. The bike has no mechanical problems with it at all and is ready to ride as it. It does have scratches on both sides. Bike runs straight and smooth, test rides are certainly welcome with cash in hand. Chain and sprocket show no wear, there is no rust on the chain whatsoever and it's been always in spec and lubed every 500 miles. The ninja 500 is a great commuter bike since it has plenty of power for the highway, and is still very fun on the back roads getting about 45mpg. The bike is very comfortable due to the sitting position and also handles two riders very well and comfortably. The Ninja 500 has plenty of power to do anything you want on the street and can ride the highway more than comfortably. The bike is a 1996 kawasaki ninja 500. This is a great bike, very reliable, the last ninja 500 my buddy has over 80k miles on it , I'll show you! This one has even less than 4000 miles. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them, still very new! The oil had been changed every 1,000 miles. I'm just very particular about it. This bike has never seen rain but it has certainly seen water since I've washed it quiet a couple of times. It's a great commuter bike since it has plenty of power for the highway, and is still very fun on the back roads getting about 45mpg. This would be a great commuter bike or even a first bike as long as you're mature enough for it, it's suited better to medium to taller riders as it is a higher sitting bike, unfortunately my 5'5" girlfriend can't ride it or touch the ground. This is a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja 500R that I bought used 4 years ago (with 5500 miles on it). I road it for two summers mostly commuting (less than 3000 miles). After the second year I did not winterize it or store it indoors so it sat uncovered in my driveway for two years. Now it's rusty and doesn't start. I've been told it needs "spark plugs, a battery, and probably the carbs cleaned" but I'm not a motorcycle mechanic and I have no idea how accurate that is. I have brand new tires for it (one is installed on the rear, front tire is sitting in a box ready to be installed).The bike was dropped once at low speed on the left side, and once at no speed in a drive way on the right side. Had a great time with the bike, it always worked well and was awesome to learn on, but then I started skydiving so that's where all my time, money, and effort went. This bike is being sold AS IS. 2000 Kawasaki Ninja 500R, The Kawk Ninja EX500 is a classic bike. I bought it used, and have spent time and effort into making the engine run great. Runs very well, even better than when I bought it (despite putting 12k on it). Great exhaust - sounds great. Not obnoxiously loud, but you're gonna be heard on the road. Sounds great. Tires have plenty of rubber left on them (I've always checked the pressure), new spark plugs, new battery, new clutch cable (previous user didn't lube it), new rear master cylinder, etc. Replaced all items when I decided they needed. Full disclosure that the main fairing is cracked (as you can see). When replacing the front turn signals, I removed the fairing, and it got slightly cracked, then the bumpy DC roads propagated the crack. See my new bike in the back - wanted to get a bigger engine. $2,200.00
