Own the classic 1978 Yamaha XS1100! Fastest production bike made in 1978. Excellent condition, only 9,145 miles. All original, exceptionally well maintained, mechanically sound. Maroon with gold pinstripes, minimal scratches. 1100cc, air-cooled, DOHC inline four, constant velocity carbs, unique polyspheric combustion chambers and transistorized ignition with vacuum advance to deliver power evenly, 30-40 mpg. Five gears and a smooth shaft drive for touring. Twin front and single rear disc brakes. Only two owners, who both shared a love of this now classic bike.

1978 Yamaha Xs1100 , 1978 Yamaha Xs1100 , Bike is in good condition. Ran great. Needs a crank bearing. Has newer clutch and tires. New seat. Has original Vetter Trunk installed. Smoke fairing. Second bike (79 XS1100) comes with it. Second bike has not run in 10 years, good restoration or parts bike. I have the Samsonite side bags and other misc parts. Can not ship the bikes. 1978 YAMAHA XS1100G, Great condition old school Yamaha, set up as a touring bike with the Windjammer SS fairing, factory color matched! The bike is almost completely original. Our service department just gave it a full tune-up, carb clean, oil change, new front and rear tire: Dunlop D404's. The bike fires up and runs fantastically. ONLY 400 miles on this extremely well preserved 1979 XS Eleven in Indigo Blue. It is all stock as it came from "Anaheim Motorcycles" in 1978 as a 1979 1100F model. The bike was first purchased in the fall of 1978 but it was only registered for 3 years up to 1981. I have the registration records 1978-1981 and the license plate sticker shows 1981 as well. As of last year the bike is registered in CA and has a clean title. When I bought the bike it had the original tires still in new condition. I decided to replace them with the OEM Bridgstone brand to stay as authentic as possible for safety reasons only. I still have the original tires and inner tubes which amazingly look new and are soft to the touch. The carburetors were professionally cleaned and refurbished using only new old stock (NOS) parts. The engine runs as it should considering it's basically a brand new machine. The exhaust system is in excellent condition, and sounds beautiful. The engine purrs at cruising speeds, but when you give it some gas it growls and accelerates with no hesitation. All bolts and nuts are like new. The new battery fires up the bike instantly and it idles perfectly. The XS11 has a stock 95 HP engine which makes it as fast as a modern motorcycle. The "Eleven" in the name not only stands for the displacement but also the quarter mile time (which is sub 12 seconds) achieved easily. Original owner's manual, toolkit, and emergency kick starter are also included. Selling 1978 Yamaha XS 1100 with 63000 miles. Bike runs great, still ride it regularly. Windjammer fairing included. Brand new rear tire at the start of this season. Front tire was put on the start of last season. Only owner, still have the service manual.
