I have a 1978 Honda Hawk 1 400. It is in really good condition. I just put new chain, sprockets, and battery on it. The non-original stickers are off so its all original except for the exhaust. 1978 Honda Hawk , Selling my Classic 1978 Honda Hawk 400 motorcycle, Must see to believe! Bike has been garage kept except for the last year, where it lived under a bike cover in driveway. 18,000 original miles, all original equipment, Everything works, paint is in good shape, no mechanical issues, 65 mpg! I also have all maintenance and ownership manuals, in addition to toolkit which came with it new in '78. Transmission is a Hondamatic, clutchless manual shifting, and ready to ride! At time of posting, inspection has expired, but it will pass and I'll get state inspection done prior to selling. Title in hand, serious inquiries only please. I bought it from a coworker 2 years ago, but I just don't enjoy riding as much as I used to, and need money to rebuild the transmission on my car. I'll even throw in a helmet, goggles, and armored riding jacket, if they fit you!! These bikes are rare to find in this condition, great as a daily rider or as a showroom piece. asking $1500 OBO. Automatic transmissions only built two years, 1978 & 1979.  New Battery.  Both carbs rebuilt.  Second owner - Less than 30K miles.  Tuned up and ready to go.  Comes with luggage rack and passenger back rest.  Great condition.  Always kept indoors.  Just recently taken out of storage.  Call David at 602-931-7033.

1978 Honda CM Series 400A, 1978 Honda CB400A Hawk Hondamatic in excellent condition. Original paint and seat are in excellent condition. No rust on frame or tank, just very small amounts on under sides of the fenders. Runs great, starts immediately without using the choke and has clear title. This is the 2 speed automatic version and has no clutch, just low and high gear. Very comfortable and easy to ride, handles great. Has new tires front and rear, new wheel bearings, new RK X-ring chain, new battery, front master cylinder rebuilt, carbs cleaned and rebuilt all in July 2014. Updated speedometer, headlight, blinkers, handlebars, grips, and mirrors all new in July 2014. Unknown mileage, bike did not have original speedometer when I purchased it, seller told me it had 8000 miles on it but I cannot confirm that. $1900.00 or best offer. 1978 honda hawk 400,been setting for years,not froze and motor will run,i am in process of getting this and a couple others running. I have the side panels also,i have an old title that goes with the bike,it has all been locked away for over 25 years and is barn fresh. Im asking $1000.00 cash for the bike

For sale is my 1978 Honda CB 400 Hawk T2 which runs and drives. The bike is in good shape overall with 15,583 miles, but does have a few parts which could use replacing. To my knowledge, the bike will need the fork seals replaced (I have the seals, but not installed them). Also, the output seal does leak and the seat has a few tears. In regards to the output seal, it leaks pretty consistently, however, it does not appear to effect the drive of the bike. This vehicle has been a fun to drive and is a great starter bike with a clean title.
