You are bidding on a 1971 Triumph 650 Bonneville which has been converted over to a hardtail bobber in the classic sense. The bike has been gone through bottom to top,and end to end.Its now ready to put some miles on it,and is really fun to ride.Ready for those local bike nights,or cruising down the boulevard. Here are the details: I purchased the bike from the owner of Devil's Hand Productions last year, who was building it to highlight his custom paint work at shows & events. At that time,he was funding a new paint booth, and so I ended up with it.Check out his website to see his work,as you wont be disappointed. He had the hardtail rear frame jigged & welded up by a local shop that specializes in that work, and it tracks true. The original forward portion was retained, and the oil reservoir is in the upper frame backbone. The copper flake finish really stands out, especially in the sun.The gas tank & rear fender are finished in a bright blue flake finish, along with a bright white stripe down the top of the gas tank that really stands out-Must see it in person to appreciate it!I had the inside of the gas tank professionally sealed by Elizabeth Radiator to be on the safe side, and brand new petcocks with metal fittings are used on the gas lines. The rear fender was internally braced by the previous owner, and I also had a custom rear fender bracket fabricated in stainless steel, and then highly polished. The motor mounts are custom ribbed polished aluminum, and all motor mount bolts are brand new.The seat is from Biltwel, and the coil springs are matching copper flake.Handlebars are drag style with risers for a comfortable reach, along with the Triumph branded footpeg rubbers.I do have the original front fender for the bike, although it was never refinished to match, but the winning bidder can have it if they want. The motor was rebuilt from the bottom end up to the base gasket by the previous owner, and I had the top end redone by a local shop to .030 over, with new pistons & rings fitted, along with a clean bore. The bottom end was rechecked, and everything came back as within spec. The valvework was done by Wes White at Four Aces Cycle, and all work was performed correctly.A set of Webco "Starburst" rocker box caps top off the motor. All seals & gaskets were replaced at rebuild. The Mikuni carbs were also rebuilt at this time, and also synced to the motor with new "pancake" style filters.Brand new engine breathing system with one way check valve & filter was also installed to prevent "burping oil" all over the motor. The Joe Hunt mag was also setup correctly, and the bike was given its initial run on a Dyno to properly get everything setup correctly.Bike starts up on first or second kick when cold, and on first kick when warmed up. All ignition & electronics are handled by a brand new Joe Hunt magneto. There is no battery,so both the NOS Bates headlight and 1920s style glass "STOP" taillight work only when the bike is running. There is an ignition kill switch on the handlebar tied into the magneto also.Levers & grips are brand new,as are the drag style handlebars & risers. The beautiful 2 into 1 exhaust was sourced from Lowbrow Customs, and built in the UK-Sounds great too!A p-bracket was added to keep it tight, and a deflector was placed at the frame to protect the paint. Also new spark plugs & clear spark plug leads were installed during the rebuild. The wheels & hubs are original to the bike, and I would rate them an 8 out of 10 as far as the condition.Nice, but not mint.Brand new period correct tires & tubes.Front brake cable, clutch cable, speedo cable are new,as is the rear brake rod.The Smiths speedo is period correct, but not the original one.Front fork legs have been polished, and I also have a brand new set of Progressive Suspension fork springs, and new seals that will go with the bike.New sprockets front & rear,as well as the chain. Overall,a really cool bike, thats ready to roll, and a real head turner. Please contact me with any questions,as all sales are final.Make sure that your wife/girlfriend/mistress/kids & dogs are all good with you hitting the "Buy it Now" button before you do.I will also include a hard copy factory shop manual for reference.A $250 Paypal down payment is due within 48 hrs,and the full balance within 7 days. The bike can sit for up to 2 weeks if needed, but full payment is due within the 7 days.I can also give you the name of the shipper I use if needed,as he is reasonable & professional.

PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL OF DESCRIPTION BEFORE SENDING ME A QUESTION. This is a numbers matching 1971 Triumph Trailblazer 250. It has completely been rebuilt and customized by Analog Motorcycles. The engine was completely rebuilt by Triumph specialists Ed at Morries Place. New everything, if it looked worn and needed replacing it was replaced. This is virtually a brand new motorcycle with some custom features. A list of all that was done and additional pictures can be seen on my website analogmotorcycles dot com . Comes with a clean and clear IL title in my name. It is a kick only right side shift machine as all British bikes were before 1974. Ask any questions you may have if interested in buying. If you just want to know what tires I used or how I mounted something or where did I get my seat, etc. You will probably not get a reply. Only serious buyers please. This is a fairly rare machine and gets lots of looks everywhere I ride it. It is a show stopper that is fully functional with all necessary functions that make it a fully legal street machine. I will help with shipping but all costs are buyers responsibility. Would also consider delivering within 100 miles or so of 60031 for fuel costs. We are thrilled to offer such a unique and rare piece of motorcycle history. If you’ve got a Triumph-sized hole in your collection and want something pretty wild and very cool, this might fit the bill. The Triumph Hurricane X75 was a bit of a mongrel from the word go. Originally a BSA design, with very sleepy, Triumph Bonneville-esque style, the honchos felt it was way too conservative for American tastes. Famous designer Craig Vetter was tasked with a stylistic redo, and the resulting bike was different, to say the least, with a very 60’s chopper style and a distinctive triple exhaust slung along the right side of the bike. When BSA went under, 1,200 engines were put aside and the bike was rebranded as a Triumph.Three cylinder motorcycles in general are pretty neat sounding machines. Not quite as brutal as a thumping twin or single, not as smooth or refined as a four [or six!], triples make a very raw, iron-fist-in-a-velvet-glove kind of roar. Vetter was commissioned by BSA's US distributor to customise the BSA Rocket 3 to appeal more to American tastes. When, in 1968, the new BSA Rocket 3/Triumph Trident triples were shown to the American BSA-Triumph management, they were underwhelmed. They knew Honda had an important bike (the CB750) coming along, and they felt the triple's price of $1800 [4] was too high and that technical details (like vertically-split crankcases and pushrod ohv valve train) were far from "cutting edge". However, they acknowledged that the bike was fast, and a sales team led by BSA Vice-President Don Brown decided to launch the bike by using a Rocket-3 to set some records at Daytona, records which were broken in 1971 by the Kawasaki Z1. Brown felt that the BSA/Triumph triples needed a different look to succeed in the USA, and he engaged designer Craig Vetter to give the BSA A75 a customised face-lift, with a brief to make it "sleeker and more balanced". (Brown revealed the Vetter project to Peter Thornton, President of BSA/Triumph North America, but as Brown's initiative had not been authorised by BSA, Vetter had problems being paid, waiting two years for his fee). Vetter created the Triumph Hurricane in the summer of 1969,[5] and in October 1969 he unveiled the prototype with "BSA" on the tank as the new ‘Rocket Three’.[6] Thornton and the American officials were impressed, and Vetter's bike was then sent to the UK, but the bike arrived in England just as the BSA marque was about to be ended. At BSA-Triumph's design facility at Umberslade Hall, the design was seen as too "trendy" by chief designer Bert Hopwood; but after very positive public reaction to the design when it appeared on the front of US magazine Cycle World in October 1970, the UK managers changed their minds. They realised they had a large stock of obsolete BSA Rocket-3 parts that could now be turned into a premium-priced motorcycle. Engineer Steve Mettam was given the job of supervising production for the 1972/3 season; and the Vetter BSA Rocket3 became the Triumph X75 Hurricane. 1,183 engines were put aside for X75 production. However, BSA was facing bankruptcy and the design went into a limited production run of 1200 as the Triumph X-75 Hurricane in 1972. Production stopped in 1973 after the X-75 was unable to meet new American noise standards. Here are the specs: 1973 Triumph Hurricane X75Years produced: 1973 Number produced: 1,172Claimed power: 58hp @ 7,250rpmTop speed: 114mph (period test)Engine type: 741cc air-cooled, OHV inline tripleWeight (dry): 458lbMPG: 40-45Price then: $2,295 Thank you for looking, please feel free to ask any questions. If you would like any additional photos don't hesitate to ask. We look forward to placing this rare Hurricane X75 in your collection.

1971 Honda CB750K1 History: In February 1968, Honda organized a team of about 20 members to head the development effort of a new high-performance motorcycle. Around this time, Honda heard from a reliable source that the British manufacturer Triumph was developing a 750cc triple, and in turn, Honda immediately settled on developing a 750cc four to counter the British effort . The in-line four design, with 4 separate exhaust pipes, was chosen so motorcyclists around the world would immediately associate the bike with the Honda Grand Prix road racers of the mid-sixties.A secondary goal was to build an engine that would produce at least 67 horsepower - one more than the most powerful 1300cc Harley Davidson at that time. Lastly, Honda wanted to build a bike with superior performance and reliability. So, in July 1969, Honda introduced the first CB750, and changed the motorcycle industry forever. The initial production numbers were forecast to be only 1,500 per year. Well, the 1,500 yearly goal quickly became a monthly production number, and soon after, the monthly production number rose to an amazing 3,000 units. About this bike: The first Honda CB750 was sold as a "K0" model in 1969 and 1970. The bike for sale here was built in September 1970, and was sold as a 1971 model with the model designation "K1". However, the September 1970 build date means that this bike was manufactured in the original Honda "Factory One" where the bikes were a bit more hand-made, prior to the high production assembly line that came a short time later. The engine on this bike has a hand-ported head from the factory, and some of the frame components are hand-welded. These manufacturing processes were eliminated when the new assembly line was built by Honda to meet the rising demand for the bike. Recently, this CB750 received a complete frame-off restoration, and has been driven approximately 3,000 fair-weather miles since then. The frame was media blasted and received professionally applied black lacquer. NOS parts include the HM300 complete exhaust system, NOS rear shocks, NOS turn signals, and NOS tank and side panel emblems. Other new components are the swing arm bushings, front and rear wheel bearings, rebuilt carbs, new carb manifolds and boots, front brake pads, control cables and nearly all the rubber parts, bumpers and grommets. The tires are Bridgestone Spitfires with period correct sizing and look.Mechanically, the motorcycle is completely refreshed and the bike runs strong and stops as it should. The sound of the exhaust is really nice as these original pipes are a bit less restrictive than the later HM341 exhausts. Cosmetically the bike is a 9+ with all re-plated hardware and excellent chrome everywhere. The paint on this bike is new, very beautiful and unique for a Honda sold in the United States. The inspiration for the paint came from a Honda CB750 color called "Polynesian Blue Metallic". It was offered only in the European and Japanese markets and was not available in the U.S. It is not the same color as the Candy Blue-Green offered here in the U.S. in 1969 and 1970. Finally, the bike is just plain stunning. Take a look at the photos and see if you agree. This bike would more than hold it's own at a concours show. But good looks aside, I like the fact that the bike works so very well. It is really fun to ride, and for me, I think I would do as much riding as displaying. I am selling this bike on behalf of one of my restoration clients. Questions and/or offers can be directed to me. Feel free to call Bill at (805) 708-1129 Comes with a Clear Arizona Title. The bike is located in Santa Barbara, CA 93105. Shipping costs to the lower 48 States can run between $250-650 depending on your location. Arranging and paying for shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. I do have several shipping contacts that I am happy to share with you. The bike can be stored for several weeks (if paid for) while you arrange your transportation. International buyers are welcome. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and is non-refundable.
