Look left look right and up and down...This is the only vintage 500CC machine you will see. Only 45 years old. . She is no garage queen...(although garaged most of her life) but has all the mojo you can ask for, mostly original. Always gathers a lil' crowd. Just Ride away always a 1 or 2 kick start...or take it to your lab and restore her. Bike smokes when first started, and leaks a little oil. Runs pretty strong for a 500 .No turn signals...so re-learn your hand signals.has right foot shift....(4 speed)Horn/speedo does not work, (cable does.)Drag pipes. 2 to 1, (the ONLY old modification) They have some volume. and now. . .the good. Recent transmission rebuild not even 100m on it since.New valve guides and valves ground.New gaskets: head and base.New AMAL 626 Carb $$$, old one and rebuild kit included.Inline filters New Air Cleaner/assemblyNew PetcocksNewer Fork Boots/Gaitorsoriginal manual !has grab bar, and tail light extension, & chrome steering dampener....funky extras usually not found. Age appropriate bags for your crap.decent rubber...seat is very good, one little tear in the rear...thats' it. Be serious, there have been a fair share of tire kickers, and folks pointing out what I have described as the imperfections/needs. And of course my favorite "Son, I used to have one of those, bought it new for.....blah blah blah. These classic single carb twin 500's never come up for air. If you care for this bike and do a little here and there you will enjoy the future with it...and get back what you put into it....which is what I am doing. May deliver within 100 miles. You will have to arrange for shipping. or come and get it. reference NADA guide etc.

this is a great example of an original numbers matching Triumph 650cc Bonneville, i bought this bike a few years back, after the motor had been rebuilt, and the sheet metal had been repainted, i bought the bike from a person i trust but cannot verify the rebuild from any documents, the i checked the gaps on the valves lifters, set timing, drained out all the fluids, put new oil in oil tank, fork tube oil, fresh gas, cleaned and rebuilt the carbs, new air filters, bought a new battery, new tubes and new Dunlop tires, this bike has been repainted to very correct colors, i have remover all the fork tube nuts, center triple tree nut, headers pipes, exhaust , kicker arm, gear shifter, and front fender stays and had them all re chromed done, seat seems to be newer the foam is in excellent shape as is the seat cover, missing one clear hooter horn, one on bike doesnt work, and there is a few little chips in the paint on the rear of front fender, bike started , have clear title in my name i put gas in the tank tickled the carbs and the bike started on the first kick, now it starts on the first or second if there is enough gas in the carbs and the choke is on, yes the choke does work on this bike, as do the gauges each one has correct lights and works fine, all the new chrome plating and a few new rubber parts made this bike really come together, i have a new chain and new rear brakes for the bike just didnt get to this yet, the bike really runs strong and pulls great, the brakes are good one the front and rear but the rear i think would do better for a change so brakes are included as is chain, only small issue is i think the gear change quadrant may be work or ir could be a plunger on the cam plate, but the bike is hard to get it into gear when it is running, but once it is in gear it shifts through all the other gears with ease up and back down until you get to first gear, this is a minor issue that can be fixed , i listed the miles on the speedo, but think the motor only has about 4-500 miles on it, i also replaced the fork boot gators, but didnt replace the chrome fork seals, they were the only part that i didnt re chrome, so there is a little rust on them, as with the wheels, ther is a little surface rust on the nipples from the spokes and a small amount of rust on the rim, but they are really in great shape, much better than a daily rider chrome, but not show quality... it is a great bike, hope it will go to a good home hate to sell it but had an unexpected septic tank issue that this will be used to pay, no fun, please ask questions, it is up to the buyer to come and pick up the bike, or i will deliver for free to Barber Race track in Birmingham , Al. at this meet this October will be there from friday to sunday morning, take a look at the pictures, but will help with any delivery truck that could pick it up or may be able to drive it near my location , i would ask for a deposit through paypal, for small sum then the rest on pick up cash only no personal checks unless they clear before the bike is picked up..thanks

1970 Triumph 650cc TR6 Frame no. TR6 PD33644 Engine no. TR6 PD33644 International Six Days Trial successes in the late 1940s prompted Triumph to develop their range of the 500cc TR5 and then for the 650cc TR6, introduced for 1956. The larger capacity bikes retained their sporting character but became more of a roadster as time passed, ending up, in effect, as a single-carburetor T120 Bonneville, whose specification in all other respects it closely followed. More tractable than the Bonnie and more economical too, the TR6 gave little away in terms of outright performance, its standing quarter-mile time and top speed being within a whisker of its twin-carb sibling's. However, although the pair possessed an impeccable engine, Triumph's larger models were widely recognized as lacking in the handling department, especially when compared to rivals Norton. Following the wholesale changes of frame layout in the late pre-unit era, a single down-tube design was introduced on the 650cc 'unit' twins for 1963, although even this would undergo several detail alterations over the next eight years. By the decade's end the 650 Triumphs had arrived at what most enthusiasts agree is the models' ultimate incarnation, and today these late, pre-'oil-in-frame' 650s are becoming increasingly sought after by collectors on both sides of the Atlantic. This very nicely presented matching numbers example of the last and arguably the best year of pre-oil in frame bikes was built in November of 1969. It is offered in Orange with Silver blades and shows a little over 3700 miles on the odometer. Mechanic owned, the bike has been kept in truly excellent running order and runs wonderfully well. The engine starts easily and idles well. The gearbox shifts well through a fresh clutch. Brakes and suspension are both excellent with a fully operational electrical system. In fact, it brakes and handles like a modern bike! It was recently fitted with a new battery. Cosmetically, the bike is in very good to excellent condition. Paint and chrome are excellent with only some minor pitting in the handlebars to detract. Best described as very good rider cosmetic condition, the bike wants for nothing and I can’t begin to explain that this is one of the best riding Triumphs I have ever had the privelege of enjoying! I would ride it anywhere without question. And I don’t say that lightly.

Buzz and his son make-up the two man crew for B&D Cycle Triumph Restorations; who perform some of the most well executed restorations worldwide. Using as many “new-old-stock” (NOS) parts as possible, the motorcycles are meticulously inspected and authenticated to meet the original factory specifications. The intensive restoration process usually will take about two months to complete or around 145 working hours on each motorcycle; Buzz stated that “there’s about 1,800 pieces on a restoration project. I take everything apart and restore it.” Manufacturing their first motorcycle in 1903, Triumph soon became a household name when movie stars like Marlon Brando and James Dean used these motorcycles in several Hollywood films. The 1960’s proved to be the company’s most successful decade both in innovation and in performance. Between the years of 1966 and 1970 Triumph was building some of the fastest motorcycles and proved it by winning numerous motorcycle championships across the world. An original Von Dutch custom 1964 Triumph TR6 Engine Number: TR6RDU9509 Frame Number: TR6RDU9509 International Six Days Trial successes in the late 1940s prompted Triumph to develop their range of the 500cc TR5 and the 650cc TR6, introduced for 1956. The larger capacity bikes retained their sporting character but became more of a roadster as time passed, ending up, in effect, as a single-carburetor T120 Bonneville, whose specification in all other respects it closely followed. More tractable than the Bonnie, the TR6 gave little away in terms of outright performance, its standing quarter-mile time and top speed being within a whisker of its twin-carb sibling's. The unique Triumph TR6 Trophy offered here was customized and autographed by the legendary American hot-rod icon and automotive stylist, Von Dutch, recognized by aficionados as father of the post-war California custom car art movement. Kenneth Graeme Howard, better known as 'Von Dutch', was one of the 20th Century's great eccentrics as well as being a gifted mechanic, artist, pin-striper, metal fabricator, knife maker and gunsmith. Born in 1929, he learned how to paint from his father Wally, a sign-writer working in southern Los Angeles, and in the mid-1950s was instrumental in reviving the lost craft of pin-striping among US customizers. 'Dutch' started striping bikes but as his fame grew he began attracting clients who wanted their cars painted. Business snowballed to such an extent that 'Dutch,' who famously detested money and the commercial side of his work, gave up and went into hiding. He resurfaced around ten years later in Arizona where he made guns and knives as well as continuing his painting and customizing career. For a number of years in the mid-sixties people had been asking, 'Where's Dutch?' to which the reclusive artist responded, 'Von Dutch '67 Is Still Alive in Calabasas,' as lettered on this important custom machine. In the mid-1970s Dutch moved back to California to take over the job vacated by Ed 'Big Daddy' Roth at the Brucker family's 'Cars of the Stars and Planes of Fame' Museum at Buena Park. When the Museum closed in 1979 Dutch was kept on as custodian of the Bruckers family's private collection in Santa Paula, California, where he died in 1992. In addition to the famous 'Von Dutch' signature, this important motorcycle features numerous custom features: the rubber gaiters have been removed from the front forks and replaced by chromed shrouds; the tank's knee pads have been removed and 'Triumph' hand lettered in their place; the paintwork is custom throughout, featuring 7-10 different colors creating a 'fish scale' effect - a paint treatment that Von Dutch is known to have employed famously on a 1940 Willys Dragster and a surfboard. In short: the motorcycle offered here represents a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine example of American automotive art created by the 'father' of the movement. Mechanically, the bike is in very good condition. Obviously, based on the importance of the art, it has been little used. I performed some re-commissioning and the bike started quite easily and rode well. The engine needs nothing, with good, responsive power. The gas smelled old and I cleaned the system enough to run the bike, though it would take a little more to be a daily rider. What a daily rider it would be!! Brakes, suspension, etc. work well. It still sports other Von Dutch customizations: additional chrome on the center stand, chain cover, etc., the seat, the gauge treatment, front forks, etc. The bike is presented in very good condition, superbly original and unrestored. There are a few scratches and blemishes, but it has been left exactly as it was built by Von Dutch 47 years ago, meticulously and caringly preserved. The bike’s uniqueness guarantees it to be the star attraction at a wide variety of events including runs, rallies, shows, concours and club events; anywhere, in fact, where the fusion of art and the motorcycle is appreciated by enthusiasts.

1971 Honda CB750K1 History: In February 1968, Honda organized a team of about 20 members to head the development effort of a new high-performance motorcycle. Around this time, Honda heard from a reliable source that the British manufacturer Triumph was developing a 750cc triple, and in turn, Honda immediately settled on developing a 750cc four to counter the British effort . The in-line four design, with 4 separate exhaust pipes, was chosen so motorcyclists around the world would immediately associate the bike with the Honda Grand Prix road racers of the mid-sixties.A secondary goal was to build an engine that would produce at least 67 horsepower - one more than the most powerful 1300cc Harley Davidson at that time. Lastly, Honda wanted to build a bike with superior performance and reliability. So, in July 1969, Honda introduced the first CB750, and changed the motorcycle industry forever. The initial production numbers were forecast to be only 1,500 per year. Well, the 1,500 yearly goal quickly became a monthly production number, and soon after, the monthly production number rose to an amazing 3,000 units. About this bike: The first Honda CB750 was sold as a "K0" model in 1969 and 1970. The bike for sale here was built in September 1970, and was sold as a 1971 model with the model designation "K1". However, the September 1970 build date means that this bike was manufactured in the original Honda "Factory One" where the bikes were a bit more hand-made, prior to the high production assembly line that came a short time later. The engine on this bike has a hand-ported head from the factory, and some of the frame components are hand-welded. These manufacturing processes were eliminated when the new assembly line was built by Honda to meet the rising demand for the bike. Recently, this CB750 received a complete frame-off restoration, and has been driven approximately 3,000 fair-weather miles since then. The frame was media blasted and received professionally applied black lacquer. NOS parts include the HM300 complete exhaust system, NOS rear shocks, NOS turn signals, and NOS tank and side panel emblems. Other new components are the swing arm bushings, front and rear wheel bearings, rebuilt carbs, new carb manifolds and boots, front brake pads, control cables and nearly all the rubber parts, bumpers and grommets. The tires are Bridgestone Spitfires with period correct sizing and look.Mechanically, the motorcycle is completely refreshed and the bike runs strong and stops as it should. The sound of the exhaust is really nice as these original pipes are a bit less restrictive than the later HM341 exhausts. Cosmetically the bike is a 9+ with all re-plated hardware and excellent chrome everywhere. The paint on this bike is new, very beautiful and unique for a Honda sold in the United States. The inspiration for the paint came from a Honda CB750 color called "Polynesian Blue Metallic". It was offered only in the European and Japanese markets and was not available in the U.S. It is not the same color as the Candy Blue-Green offered here in the U.S. in 1969 and 1970. Finally, the bike is just plain stunning. Take a look at the photos and see if you agree. This bike would more than hold it's own at a concours show. But good looks aside, I like the fact that the bike works so very well. It is really fun to ride, and for me, I think I would do as much riding as displaying. I am selling this bike on behalf of one of my restoration clients. Questions and/or offers can be directed to me. Feel free to call Bill at (805) 708-1129 Comes with a Clear Arizona Title. The bike is located in Santa Barbara, CA 93105. Shipping costs to the lower 48 States can run between $250-650 depending on your location. Arranging and paying for shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. I do have several shipping contacts that I am happy to share with you. The bike can be stored for several weeks (if paid for) while you arrange your transportation. International buyers are welcome. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and is non-refundable.
