Thank you for viewing my sale!! Right off the bat - I have a Maryland title in my name ready to go, no liens. Yes, that is a genuine CYB seat.I restored this bike a few years back with the intent to keep her forever. Times change and here we are. This was my first restoration so things are not textbook perfect. I changed direction midway through and went restored vs resto-mod. I've gotta leave some room for the next owner to tinker. The speedo is not original to the bike so mileage doesn't match the title or show miles since the rebuild. The bike has about 600 miles since the rebuild. She runs like a champ and no problem cruising around at 65~70mph. Electric start/headlight/tail lamp all work as they should. What was done:Full motor rebuild top and bottom end.Motor is .025 over if my memory is rightNew oil seals throughout.Powdercoat on frame, center stand and rear swing arm.New paint on tank, headlight housing fenders and side covers. All chrome was re-plated.The gas tank is POR-15 linedTransmission is X'ed for peppier accelerationCarbs were ultrasonic cleaned and rebuildNew Sun shouldered "racing" rims with new spokes and nipplesNew tires and tubesNew brakes all around, new chain, new cables, new gripsNew plugs, wires, battery and bulbs.New ignition and steering lock cylinder with 4 keys! You point to it; it's new. What's needed:Front fender and rear tail light were not on hand when things went to the paint shop so they are rattle can silver. The front fender has a few dingsNo tool kitRear shock shrouds are original red, a shade off from the rest of the bike.No passenger pegsMufflers are aftermarket. No problem with them...just not original.I have the cover for the steering lock and the steering lock cylinder Odds and ends:You get a box of spare goodiesI have the other side mirror to match the one on the bike.Extra rims and spokes (need assembly) Pickup and or transportation of the motorcycle is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Buyer is 100% in charge of setting up any and all shipping. I will help with loading if I can. ---------------------------------------------------------Hello all!Wow what a turn out! Tons of views and lots of watchers this is great! I have added some new photos from the restoration. You can see the brass swing arm bushings and All Balls roller steering head upgrades I forgot I put in!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. The Honda CB77, or Super Hawk, was a 305 cc (18.6 cu in) vertical twin motorcycle produced from 1961 until 1967. It is remembered today as Honda's first sportbike. It is a landmark model in Honda's advances in Western motorcycle markets of the 1960s, for its speed and power as well as its reliability, and is regarded as one of the bikes that set the paradigm for modern motorcycles. The CB77 had, at only 305cc, a relatively big engine in comparison to most other Japanese bikes of the period, although it had performance to rival much larger motorcycles from other countries. It quickly built a reputation for reliability, and was equipped with luxuries such as an electric starter. The CB77 was built on the experience Honda had gained in Grand Prix racing, and differed greatly from previous models. It had a steel-tube frame instead of the pressed frames of earlier Hondas, and a telescopic front fork. The parallel twin engine (the biggest then available in a Honda) was an integral element of the bike's structure, providing stiffness in a frame that had no downtube, and was capable of 9,000 rpm. It could propel the bike at over 100 mph; as fast as British parallel twins with higher displacements, and with great reliability. It is now regarded as 'the first modern Japanese motorcycle...that established the motorcycle paradigm that we still operate under now, more than forty years later. Honda also produced a lower-powered 247 cc (15.1 cu in) version called the CB72 Hawk, which otherwise had the same specifications. In 1962, Honda introduced an off-road bike, the CL72 250 Scrambler, with the same engine as the Hawk but with a different, full-cradle frame with a skid plate and other adjustments for off-road use. In 1965, the CL77 305 Scrambler appeared, with the (bigger) engine of the Super Hawk but otherwise similar to the CL72

Super Nice. Super Fun. Super Hawk. Time Capsule. Completely original carefully preserved CB77 with Title. 14,000 miles. Manufactured in 1965 and first sold and titled in Illinois in 1966. The frame number is CB77-1019152 and the engine is CB77E1019072. They are only 70 numbers apart indicative of a factory pairing or "numbers matching". I've been caretaker of this bike for awhile. It has been residing in my dining room, However it is more than just something to look at. I keep a battery tender on it and alcohol free fuel with a preservative in the tank. I take it out several times a year. It starts, runs, rides and stops perfectly. Everything works exactly as it should. The front tire is like new and the rear is a new Dunlop K70 replica. The chrome is great on the wheels and mufflers. The mufflers have the baffles in them. The tank panels and emblems are very nice. The battery is the correct Yuasa with extended side posts. The Red paint has wear you would expect from 50 years. It is faded and worn thin. I keep it waxed. The cables Grey outer sheathing is cracked but they work fine. It has the optional side stand. I have the owners manual but not the tools. I believe they are only original once. I have always considered it to be too nice to restore, If that makes sense. Soon there will be few unrestored examples left. This is a nice one. I appreciate it more as an unmolested bike that I can ride. I have done a couple of things to make it a better rider without taking away from originality: The rectifier has been replaced with a modern silicon one. Care was taken to fabricate spade to screw terminal adapters to avoid altering the original wiring harness. The seat was professionally restored with a high quality reproduction cover and new foam. Care was taken to place some of the original coral colored foam where it could be seen through the vent holes. The inside of the fuel tank has been preserved with Red Kote. Feel free to ask questions. For longer discussions send you phone # and I will call you. It is for sale because I have too many Bikes now and feel I must sell one to justify the purchase of another.
