Built to tackle extraordinary challenges, the 2017 model is completely new and boasts improved performance, reduced weight and smoother power across a wider rev range. Redesigned bodywork and chassis are thinner between the legs, slightly shorter front to back and less tall - keeping the centre of gravity low and centred. This makes movement easier in extreme situations. The new engine design has a laterally-mounted counter balancer shaft to significantly reduce vibrations and offers a smoother and more comfortable ride for even more hours in the saddle. WP's new enduro-specific Xplor forks and shock will make tackling the roughest terrain much easier. Features may include: EngineThe 300cc 2-stroke engine sets the benchmark in unrivalled power and lightweight construction. The engine has a completely new construction featuring new shaft arrangements for improved mass centralisation, a new counter balancer shaft reducing vibration, a new twin-valve controlled power valve and re-worked 6-speed enduro gearbox.Counter-balancerThe new engine design allows for the implementation of a laterally mounted counter-balancer. The astonishing performance potential is easily accessible thanks to the updated forks, modified front-end geometry and revised shock setup. The power is confidently controlled through the new Brembo hydraulic clutch and smooth 6-speed gearbox. Premium components and equipment include electric and kick start, standard handlebar map switch, Brembo brake calipers and the largest capacity fuel tank in the competition enduro segment. Features May Include: ENGINE With a 54 hp power output, the TE 300 is the most powerful 2-stroke engine available today. The engine features a sophisticated exhaust valve that optimises power delivery and, combined with the Boyesen reed valve, offers excellent response and durability. STANDARD MAP SWITCH The engine characteristics can be tailored thanks to the standard map switch that modifies the CDI curve between two ignition curves according to rider preference, conditions and terrain. Further optimisation of the power delivery can be obtained by varying the spring stiffness in the exhaust valve. NEW BREMBO HYDRAULIC CLUTCH The TE 300 now features a new Brembo hydraulic clutch system. The high quality clutch system guarantees perfect modulation of the clutch in every condition. This means that the play is constantly compensated so that the pressure point and the function of the clutch remain identical in cold or hot conditions and over time. The Brembo clutch also features even wear characteristics and is nearly maintenance-free. ELECTRIC AND KICK START Standard electric start ensures effortless and reliable starting that is especially useful in difficult terrain. The TE 250 and TE 300 2-strokes have both an electric and a kick starter as standard.
