RACING SOULThe 1098 immediately stands out for its determined and aggressive stance. Every detail insists that performance is paramount.Traditional Ducati features such as a high set tail section, under-tail exhaust, single-sided swingarm, narrow profile and a rock-solid front end all emphasize the 1098’s aerodynamics and handling capabilities. Add to this a powerful Testastretta Evoluzione engine and you have a Ducati that looks like it's moving even when it's standing still. The 1098 is a milestone both for Ducati and production sportbikes in general. It is the first production bike to feature Brembo monobloc calipers, an onboard data-logging system and new 'smart' technology for the single-sided swingarm. Oval throttle bodies and the new dashboard are innovations direct from Ducati's MotoGP effort and appear on a road-going sportbike for the first time ever with the 1098. Simply put, the 1098 has a racing soul. SATISFYING ALL THE SENSESThe throaty roar of the twin under-seat exhausts are synchronized with the howl of the elliptical throttle bodies providing a fitting fanfare for the new 1098 Testastretta Evoluzione engine. The huge 104 millimeter bore and all-new cylinder head design unite to produce an awesome 160 horsepower and an arm-wrenching 90-plus foot pounds of torque. Developed together with Ducati Corse, the 1098 is a masterpiece of incredible performance and innovation.

THE MOST POWERFUL, LIGHTEST L-TWIN SUPERBIKE IN HISTORYThe new 1098 S is the highest performance Ducati street bike ever made. Reducing weight even further and the addition of world-class components make the 'S' ready to deliver the dream of owning the ultimate Superbike. The fully adjustable 43 millimeter Öhlins FG511 forks, which sport low friction Titanium Nitride fork sliders, respond effortlessly to every imperfection in the tarmac. Beyond their advanced engineering solutions, one of the most important characteristics of Öhlins forks is their ability to communicate the condition and quality of the tire-to-road contact patch, putting the rider in total control. The suspension system is completed and perfectly balanced with a fully adjustable Öhlins 46PRC rear shock with a ride enhancing top-out spring, controlling the single-sided swingarm for outstanding drive, traction and steering precision. The Öhlins package is completed with a control-enhancing adjustable steering damper. The 'S' also sets a new standard for lightweight performance. On any sport or race bike, the most effective area to reduce weight is its 'unsprung weight'. This is achieved through reducing the weight of components such as tires, brakes and wheels. Lighter wheels have a lower 'moment of inertia' that is beneficial with every direction change and application of the brakes. The 1098 addresses this important area by mounting Marchesini forged and machined wheels, reducing weight by 4 pounds (1.9 kilograms). The weight saving is further enhanced with the application of a carbon fiber front fender and seat fairing cooling ducts.

Hate to part ways but selling my Duc. 40k miles runs great. This bike has lived in SoCal, SoFlo and now back in West Florida. Always Garage Kept. Never Dropped. All service done done by Ducati Master Technicians and all records can be obtained. As of recent, starter cylanoid replaced.new chain and adjustment, new clutch plates and clutch basket, headlights replaced, oil, and tuning. Bike runs great! The bike fairings are classic Ducati yellow. The graphics you see is a wrap and can easily be removed. And has Arrow slip-ons. Two sets of keys and key card. More pics available upon request.
Yes, this is the S model with Ohlins fully adjustable premium suspension, Marchesini forged alloy wheels and other upgrades not found on the base model. Over $4k in modifications which were dealer installed and do not affect reliability or ridability. Motor and mechanicals are all stock.-Akrapovic Titanium/Carbon Fiber Hexagonal Mufflers -Ducati Slipper Clutch Kit w/ Billet Red Pressure Plate and Sidi vented cover -Woodcraft Technologies adjustable rear sets, billet black anodized-Ducati Carbon Fiber Rear Fender -Ducati Carbon Fiber Front Fender -Shiftech Carbon Fiber Tank Guard -Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windshield in Dark Smoke -Ducati Race Data Logger USB Dongal with software diskette Original adult owner. Never dropped, track used, stunted or abused in any way. Always warm garage kept and covered for winter storage. This bike is pristine. Truly must be seen to be appreciated. You will not be disappointed. The newer Panigales offer a bit more punch, but omit the time-honored traditional flair of the color-matched tubular trellis frame, dual under-tail exhaust tips and whirling dry clutch. That's IMHO, of course.New Pirelli Diablo Rossi tires front and rear approx. 150 miles ago.Brand new Shorai lithium ion battery and tender lead installed this season (saves about 7.5lbs). The bike needs nothing but a rider.Clear Michigan Title is in-hand, available for immediate transaction. Willing to ship with arrangements and expense coordinated and covered by buyer. Possible short distance delivery or halfway dropoff. The only reason I am selling is due to lack of use. Bike hasn’t seen much use in the past 4 years, but odometer may increase in minor increments as I still do go for the occasional run about.Extras: Sale comes with stock mufflers, pegs, windshield, owner’s manual, two keys, key code ID card, and bike cover.

*******Please read before calling*******2008 Ducati 1098S, 34,500 miles.Bike was purchased in Denver Colorado in 2011 from FayMyers with 11,000 miles. Owner was an employee of the dealership. Bike was purchased with a 3 year service contract (Everything was included). Beyond the 3 Year service contract, I PERFORMED ALL OF THE MAINTENANCE. This includes but is not limited to: Complete front fork rebuild, steering head rebuild, belt replacement and valve clearance inspections, complete disassembly of the gas tank and air box/throttle assembly, removal of the radiator, brake pad replacement, chain and sprocket replacement, front wheel bearings, I deleted the exhaust servo, I purchased and installed a Ducati Performance Race ECU (Slip-On), I also installed a race baffle kit in the factory exhaust (the rear brake master cylinder still needs work). The bike has seen Sturgis 3 times (it was never trailered). I live about 700 miles from Sturgis. Never been down while moving, although owner I bought it from tipped it over in his driveway. Bike does have normal wear for 34,000 miles, but nothing that couldn't be buffed out. One faring near the kickstand needs replacement, as I broke it putting the kickstand down last year. Bike is ready to ride, and still has 5000 miles before next service interval/oil change. Will need tires in less than 1000 miles. This is the second Ducati I have owned, my first bike was a 2001 748. Call or text with questions. If you are uncomfortable with any of the previous rider maintained services (as many will be), you should probably keep looking. Thanks,Damian.
