2008 Ducati Superbike 1098, 2008 Ducati 1098 with around 7,000 miles which will tic up if the weather holds out and I can sneak a ride in. I have the bike sipping on a battery tender in storage local to Wilmington, MA and can show it most nights and weekends after April 15th (tax day, ). I had the 7,000 service done the winter before this and put maybe 300 miles on it since, filled the tank with treated fuel and let it sleep through the winter. Change the oil and it's ready to go when you are. You'll see that I'm a typical Ducati owner - the bike is very clean and damage free. Never raced, wheelied, or ridden in the rain, zero track days (sadly!) and always stored inside - it was my vanity vehicle and I rode it almost exclusively on twisty VT/NH roads. I spent more time wrenching on it than riding it. The oil was changed frequently with top shelf full synthetics and any service I couldn't do was completed by the boys at Seacoast. I am selling because I don't ride it as much as I need to and I have a GF who wants to come out but there's no room to ride this bike 2 up. Starts and runs flawlessly, idles with a nasty rasp and takes off smoothly off from a stop. It was updated with all recall repairs including a new fuel tank after the original one expanded. The bike will be sold with the following proactive updates and aftermarket tweaks: >Prior to adding fuel the recalled fuel tank was Caswell coated by Robbie Nigl. >OEM seat was replaced with the DP neoprene which is not included in the sale. The OEM seat is near new and will be on the bike. >I added an Ohlins DU-515 (these are 3 way adjustable as opposed to the two way adjustable on the 1098S. They have adjustable rebound, low speed compression and high speed compression) shock out back with a straight rate spring for my weight (185). I purchased this from Dan Kyle who bevels the top lock nut on the shock so it clears the extension reservoir. >OEM throttle grip was replaced with Dan Kyle throttle tube for more low speed control and smoother ramp to WOT. Made a HUGE difference >1198 Termignoni carbon fiber slip-ons >Ducati Performance 1098 ECU for Termi slip-ons tuned by Seacoast >Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tires in excellent shape. Only 2 seasons old >Front brake pads were swapped out during the break in for Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads >Ducati Performance Aluminum/Silicone coolant hose kit, installed by Seacoast Ducati, Derry, NH Photo shows original Termi slip-ons but I updated to the newer style $9,500.00
