BMW R1200C with vintage Steib S500 Sidecar – a dream comes true2001 BMW R1200C Black Limited Edition Stiletto Model married to a vintage Steib S500 Sidecar. Located in Golden, Colorado. Beautiful bike and side car, both are in excellent condition. No accidents. 20,014 miles. New front and rear Dunlop tires. The bike was serviced by BMW dealer only. Always garaged. Clean title. Ready to roll. I bought the bike from the local BMW dealer in 2002. The BMW R1200C was BMW's first entry into the Cruiser market, and was first released with appearance of the motorcycle in the James Bond movie ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’. (Find more information about the R1200C at  Accessories:Standard ABS Round Mirrors (installed) BMW head lights (installed)Leather heated grips (installed) BMW Leather saddle bags (installed) BMW Saddle bag liners BMW accessory plug port (installed) Clear turn signals (Front & rear) (installed) The Steib S500 is an original rebuild by a crafts workshop in Berlin, Germany to exact specifications of the classic Steib S500 sidecar from the 1950’s. It is a steel construction and all parts interchange with the original. The Steibs are the highest quality and meet German TUV safety standards. The S500 was made for motorcycles 400 ccm and larger. Its typical rocket shaped body made from 8 steel plates trimmed in polished aluminum gives it a stylish flair. The boat with its roomy trunk space and adjustable spring suspension system makes it the perfect sidecar for long trips. The seamless tube frame is embellished in front and on top with polished aluminum piping. The wheel is outfitted with a swing axel and rubber shock absorbers. The S500 has a trunk lid that opens. For long-trips an original luggage rack can be mounted to the back of the sidecar.

2008 BMW R1200GS Factory Low, BMW Vario Luggage Set, low miles, Blue Factory Options: - Factory Low – Approximately 1" lower. Essential if riding on uneven surfaces: when you put your foot down, the ground is usually further away than you think! I am 5'8" tall and my inseam is 32". The low gives me much more confidence that my foot will be able to touch the ground when stopping on the side of a road as they're usually off-camber - especially on a dirt road. - BMW Low seat - Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) - Heated Grips – two heat settings - On-board computer with selectable display - BMW Vario Panniers and top box, Expandable. Passenger backrest on top box. - BMW GS Adventure Beak for more aggressive look (top front fender extender, black) - Light weight alloy wheels. Aftermarket Options: - Hepco Becker upper and lower crash bars - Kaoko cruise control (throttle lock) - MachineArtMoto front (Avant) and rear (Mudsling) fender extenders (keeps you and your passenger clean and dry). - RG Racing sliders for fork and swingarm. - SW Motech foot pegs: wider for more comfort; convertible for on and off road use; adjustable height for more leg room. Original foot pegs included. - CNC machined clutch and brake levers: adjustable, short version. Original levers included. - Removable reflective tape for safety! Black tape on black surfaces and silver tape on silver surfaces. This tape lights up very well. Maintenance: - Brake, transmission and final drive fluids changed one year ago. - New battery one year ago - New tires this year - 6,000 mile service completed - No complicated electronics to worry about. My 2016 GS has already had an ESA failure and now a cruise control problem. Luckily these items are covered under warranty otherwise the ESA repair alone would have cost me $3,012! Specifications: I did a lot of research before buying this bike. This model was updated in 2008 as follows: - 105 HP and 85 ft.-lbs. of torque. - 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. - More responsive -- carves corners better than any sport bike I've ever owned! - Lighter weight. Miscellaneous: - Most of my riding is 2-up and I don't notice the extra passenger weight. - Over 50 MPG even with a passenger and a full load. - Selling because we bought a new GS! Title in hand. 8,900 miles as of posting.
