This has been my favorite motorcycle, ever! Red 2011 BMW R1200GS (base, not adventure model) Great for touring and adventuring. The smoothest go-anywhere motorcycle that is comfortable to tour for hours on highways and back roads, and has a dynamic suspension that can be changed for forest service roads and even trails. Second owner. Know the first owner. This motorcycle has been well taken care of. Runs fantastically! It is a steel construction and all parts interchange with the original. The Steibs are the highest quality and meet German TUV safety standards. The S500 was made for motorcycles 400 ccm and larger. Its typical rocket shaped body made from 8 steel plates trimmed in polished aluminum gives it a stylish flair. The boat with its roomy trunk space and adjustable spring suspension system makes it the perfect sidecar for long trips. The seamless tube frame is embellished in front and on top with polished aluminum piping. The wheel is outfitted with a swing axel and rubber shock absorbers. The S500 has a trunk lid that opens. For long-trips an original luggage rack can be mounted to the back of the sidecar.

This 2015 R 1200 RT was a perfect transition from my 09 K 1200 LT. In addition to being hundreds of pounds lighter than the K 1200, it has been a very comfortable bike and lots of fun to ride. The menu of technical items and the performance options that can be checked/changed (as you ride and as the riding conditions change) make this a great motorcycle for both day runs or the extended cross-country tour.
