For sale- 2001 BMW RT(P) w/ 95,6xx miles.This is an old CHiP bike that was sold to its second owner in Michigan who did all the conversion work for 2-up riding. Had scratches/dings before I got it, and I've added some via 2 parking lot tips and 1 garage tip over into the wall. Nothing at speed. I've tried to include pictures of everything and am happy to take and send more. Lower fairings, engine guards, and foot peg screws have wear from aggressive lean angles. Both mirror bodies have seen damage but mount fine- I added ziptie backup tethers after a teeth-rattling bump knocked one off. From a few feet back most of it disappears.Recently rode it over 600 miles and have zero doubts about its reliability or ability to make (s)miles. That said, selling as-is. Great running bike and I would still take it cross country -- I did have it in Montreal and northern NH just last summer. It has good power, tourquey, low center of gravity, rides and handles well in town, on the highway, and everything in between. 103,XXX miles on the clock (equates to about 93,000 actual miles), silver color, ABS, fuel injection, spoke wheels, system cases, luggage rack, factory windshield, center stand, accessory outlet. Loved and well cared for by its owner. 12,000 mile major service just performed. Maintenance on this machine is simple, if you ask me.Customizations installed on the bike: Corbin saddle (adjustable height) and one backrest, OEM plastic engine guards, OEM wind deflectors for the hands, PIAA 1100 running lights, Run-n-lites taillights, Centech AP-2 aux fuse panel, RAM mount ball, USB power outlet.Newer stuff done to the bike: New battery in 2013, ABS rebuilt in 2014, clutch and all possible associated parts replaced in 2014, Speigler brake lines, pads and speed bleeders in 2014, Hyperpro shocks front and rear in 2015. New cables (clutch, throttle and choke), alternator belt and steering head bearing in 2016. I've swapped out a lot of the corroded fasteners and cracked rubber parts over the years. Avon Storm 3D X-M tires; front is new.Comes with original tool set (which is a nice one), oil filter wrench, Haynes service manual, cover, tank bag, and Airhawk seat.Full disclosure on the negatives: It has the low rev stutter like all these oilheads, and a fraction-of-a-second power hiccup if you get on the throttle in low RPMs -- can easily be avoided by keeping the RPMs up. The right side head gasket just barely started to leak last summer but has not been an issue; I had to add about a pint of oil during all my riding this past season. Of course there are normal wear and tear scuffs and scratches. Left side cylinder head is scuffed from going down at low speed on wet pavement. Original windshield. Bakup Driver Backrest. Hyperlite brake lights. PIAA 1100x lights and mount (wired to RTP headlight switch). New(er) battery- stored on trickle charger. Garage stored. Big Mak tank bag with flip up mount for easy fill ups (I may want to keep this if I can retro-fit to my incoming 1200RT but I'm not too hopeful). Metzler tires are in good shape. Clutch was replaced around 85,xxx miles. Clymer Manual. One owner since new. Fuel-injected Boxer twin delivers 90hp @7250 RPM. ABS brakes, power adjustable windshield, heated grips and Russell Day-Long saddle, Still eats up the miles, smooth and powerful after all these years. It's a reliable runner with a few cosmetic issues. Ride it till winter and then get to work on making it pretty again. Many parts are interchangeable with the RT series from 1996 through 2004 - this bike could be a candidate or a donor for a restoration project. Either way, there are lots of miles still to be enjoyed on this legendary sport-touring machine.

I bought it at Try State BMW, Cincinnati, and I was the only one driving it. I had it serviced first with Try State, than with Cadre Cycle, also in Cincinnati. Made sure that the oil and filter was changed always at around 3000 miles and it's logged. Have all original documents. I decided to part with it, and hope it will continue to give joy to some one new. It has heated handle bars,a throttle lock and a luggage rack installed before delivery. 1999 BMW R 1100 RS, For sale is a 1999 BMW R1100RS with 16,363 miles. This bike is in EXCELLENT condition. I am the second owner and I have only had it since April of this year. I purchased it from the original owner who lives in Solon. I wanted to make the leap to a BMW, but I really prefer my Harley. Now it is ready for a new home.
