2009 BMW R 1200 RT, I hate to do it but I am selling my 2009 Beemer. I have the new bike itch so the other ones have to go. This is a 2009 BMW R1200RT. If you are familiar with this bike, I don't have to tell you how great they are. For the others, this is the top rated sports touring bike out there. It can hang with the crotch rockets in the twisties or carry enough luggage to keep even a wife happy on a week long trip. Included with this bike are the two rear luggage cases and two sets of PIAA auxiliary lights. They light up the road ahead in grand fashion. My riding buddies hate to be in front of me at night. They say I look like I have runway lights on the bike. Each set was about $250, plus the brackets, plus the $200 it cost me to get them wired. They cost me over $900 total and I think they are worth it at night. Also included are a set of MotoArt engine covers. These look good and offer some protection for the head covers should the bike fall over. As you will see, they don't have a scratch on them so as far as I know, the bike has always been vertical. This bike has around 25,000 miles on it. I have made three trips this year, one over 5000 miles and one over 4000 miles and one last week of over 800 miles with no issues. The bike just loves to run. A few of the features on this bike are an adjustable windshield and cruise control. The windshield is great. In cooler weather, I run it a little higher and when it is warm, I move it lower to get more airflow. It creates a windless area behind it that is very comfortable. I like to look over the windshield and this one lets me do that. By adjustable, I mean there is a push button that moves it up and down electrically. Very slick. The cruise control is unbeatable. This is not a throttle lock but an electronic cruise control, just like in the car. Set a speed and the bike will stay at that speed, up hill, down hill whenever. It can increase or decrease your speed in increments of 1 mph. Great for long distances to give your right hand a rest. A few other nice features are the adjust on the fly shocks. It can adjust from comfy, to normal to sport at the touch of a button, again, on the fly. Simple and easy to do. It also has heated grips and heated seats. If you have never had heated grips or seats, you will never want another bike without them. This is my 4th BMW and I am looking at another one if this sells. This is one of the world's best bikes so if it doesn't sell, I will just have to keep it. I am throwing in over $1000 of add ons so make sure you take that into consideration on the price. The bike is 100% mechanically sound, its just time to move on. $9,950.00
